I honestly really like this idea and definitely prefer it to what we got. It would explain a lot of things, specifically the Night King and what his motivations are. It also would make the later seasons more comprehensible and redeem the long night episode.
This rewrite gave me chills! Like holy s**t was this AMAZING. It kinda makes me angrier though… about what _could have_ been if seasons 5-8 had competent writers and those two doofuses weren’t running the show into the ground. I don’t even expect D&D to think of anything this great because they’re just NOT this smart or creative. Still, they could have AT LEAST brought a writer in to assist with wrapping everything up. But D&D were just too big-headed and too ego-driven, and they just HAD to be the ones to finish the story and be the ones responsible for subverting everyone’s expectations. 🙄 And it was a colossal FAIL. I’m glad their selfish decisions led to their reputations being ruined and losing the deals they neglected the show for like Star Wars. Many fans trusted them to do this show justice so I don’t care that fans are still harassing them about that god-awful ending. They deserve the hate they get. If you are reading a script to the cast and it is jarring to the majority of them and you see a room full of negative reactions, which we clearly saw behind the scenes during the table read…only an arrogant FOOL would choose to still move forward with this story. If your cast is laughing, looking uncomfortable and appearing dumbfounded while you’re reading the script, it may be time to scrap that scrip! But D&D were just too arrogant and thought they knew better than everyone else including George. The audacity!. I remember once they even suggested in a BTS clip that they enjoyed NOT listening to the cast and ignoring their concerns. For instance, they enjoyed killing off Selmy after the actor confronted them with his concerns of killing the character after he read the books. It was like a sick game to D&D. They enjoyed playing God. Anyway, this ending didn’t just fix Bran, it also wraps so many other plot points up as well. It also ELEVATED scenes from earlier seasons. This would’ve had fans going back again and again to rewatch episodes and try to spot the clues they missed. With each great idea you had I was like “F*CK!” and would throw something across my room in frustration. This fix made me excited and angry at the same time.
Bran worging into Jorah and using skills he's seen from the greatest swordsmen throughout history like Barristan Selmy, Arthur Dayne and Jamie reminds me a lot of The Bleeding Effect from the early Assassin's Creed games. Like how Desmond in a very short time learned how to free-run and fight by reliving the memories of Altair and Ezio and ended up retaining all of their instincts and muscle memory. I'm not sure if you drew that parallel on purpose but it's actually really cool lol
This was absolutely brilliant! Top tier stuff. From being a casual fan like us to writing something that's infinitely better than what the actual writers came up with. Hope you'll continue this series with other major characters like tyrio, jamie, dany, cersei, as all of them desperately require a rewrite.
Dude.....this is actually brilliant! I am amazed that you came up with this. This would have made the show infinitely better. Give this man a job writing television!
As someone who likes god emperor of dune as the last good book in the series im sad we never saw more Bran. There very similar charcters and id love to see him influencing the world and diving deeper and deeper into the depths of his past lives. Spending time waiting for key events in the future a tree slowly growing around him until a new crisis begins to arise so it can be niped in the bud. They actually share a terrible purpose to save humanity from a species destroying polt. With Bran going against the night king as a metaphor for climate change. And in dune Leto see's an end to the future. A device that spreads to every imperial planet and snuffs it out. Which I think is a metaphor about the danger of having the fates of everyone in the hands of the self intrested few?
really great video!! it's nice to see a creator go beyond shit talking and actually have a go at the material. i really enjoyed it, thought it was very smart and i hope to see more of this from you
Well done. This, whilst obviously a lot more simplified that the narrative promised in the books, is much more satisfying than the drivel we got with Bran post-S4. It provides a clear emotional arc with a beginning (Bran the pupil), middle (Bran the graduate), and end (Bran the ultimate puppet-master). You deserve props for having crafted something like this. Have you read the books?
I don't know why nobody says this, but you have a very relaxing voice! It's pleasant to listen to. Also, love your content, especially the humourous ones. They make me laugh whenever I think of them.
Man, I got goosebumps when you brought up Bran witnessing the RW. If TWOW ever comes up, I'd be satisfied with GRRM pulling out something along these lines. Again, this shows you that the plot points of the later seasons weren't the issue in the ending of the series, but rather the poor execution of Dumb & Dumber.
Even if they only took 1/3 of this FIXING into the show it would be 200% better. We might not get a good show end and no Winds of Winter but this is a good compensation. Well done!
Omg this was awesome, please make a 4h long video where you eventually put all your changes from all the videos in to one big rewrite beginning from season 5! I would watch that in one sitting, being thrilled and excited about this amazing payoff while also crying bc it never actually happend
This had some truly amazing ideas that I WISH they had used in the show instead. Many channels may have covered how they’d rewrite the battle of winterfell, etc, but this is another video that makes me curious on your full take, it’s purely imaginative
Bran convincing Tyrion at 27:44 could also be as simple as, "What, you wanna start another war now? Against Mr. God-who-saved-all-your-asses-not-two-weeks-ago?" Also, even if we stuck with the events portrayed: why would experiencing all things past and present simultaneously make him borderline catatonic? I'd sooner think this brash kid we'd witnessed would be so overwhelmed he'd have trouble making any sense or remaining calm. It could give us scenes where he's ALMOST there enough to reminisce with Jon, Sansa, and Arya, where he may forget that their family is dead because he can see them all at once. Having a deep, wounded reaction to hearing of Rickon's death and possibly warging into past Shaggydog to try to make some semblance of a goodbye. That's his fucking baby brother who he spent the most Stark-to-Stark time with in the entire show up to that point. Not even a footnote? Fucked. Bran was a sharp-tongued, clever, entitled, determined, and easily agitated kid. Characters can change, but his was erased.
Bran influencing the past made me think of the Knight of the Laughing Tree and how Bran wanted to be a knight even just for a day. I also think Ser Jorah dying and then revived is possible since it also happened to Benjen Stark but they used dragon glass to prevent him from fully becoming a wight. Bran being the king will also allow him to nurture future three eyed ravens with ease.
My only problem with the idea of Bran being the knight of the laughing tree is that I was always under the impression and there’s significant evidence to back this up that is that Lyanna is the knight of the laughing tree which is really cool imo.
Nah but Bran warging into the direwolfs in the past is an amazing idea how did 1 youtuber come up w 10x better writing than a whole ass professional team
David and Dan are insane. They already had everyone hooked to the show due to the amazing dialogue and complex story telling of George. They didn’t need to keep fantasy elements to a minimum they needed to listen to George and not just think they can do everything better.
WB: Season 8 is done, and D and D are busy with other things, they won't be able to talk about or a make a video on how they could of fixed Bran Strak, How can anyone now. Supercuts Delight: ''Actually Super Easy Barely An Inconvenience'' (Plays this video) D and D:
Unbelievably creative story telling but one thing I would change would be for Bran to warg into Jamie. Would be poetic for him to be the one to save Bran after pushing him out the window and would allow Jamie to be the unbelievable sword fighter that he was before he's right hand was chopped off.
My only argument of Bran killing night king, is the Azor hai prophecy about ending the long winter night. Isn't it supposed to be Jon or Dany? The show talks about Azorhai at least couple times.
One criticism. The Long Night needs to be long. Multiple battles. Multiple losses. Driving the living further South. Increasing the Army of the Dead. And the Night King's death shouldn't mean the death of all the White Walkers, just a majority of the wights. The rest of the White Walkers should still control their small divisions of the Army, and each must be taken out. There's a fanfic called "Ned Stark Lives" which does the best job I've seen of making the Long Night actually a long drawn out and desperate affair, while still maintaining military strategy and political intrigue (though those 2 are not on the level of GRRM)
My ultimate goal is to gaslight myself enough so that I believe these events actually happened in the show.
Yes! This will be a difficult one but I thought the same thing. I’m gonna start the gaslighting process on my mind beginning today. I’ll let you know how it’s going a month or so from now. I really hope it works.

So happy you air new videos like this
Compared to Season 7 and 8 this guy deserves a freaking nobel peace prize for how much better his ideas are
Usually these idea videos are trash but this is pure gold.
THIS IS IT!! I’ve been searching for this video after watching it months ago. This timeline truly truly stuck with me.
This made so much sense and actually makes Brans story SO much more meaningful and interesting. Good stuff!
Man we need you to make a full series of videos were you fix Game of Thrones season 5 to 8, episode by episode, you're great at this
this is one of the best and most thoughtfully interwoven rewrites i’ve seen, and i’ve been trying to blast my brain with as many as possible in a vain attempt to forget the original shows ending lol. incredible job!!
This deserves more views. I wish that D&D had half the imagination you do herr. What a fantastic way to keep Bran interesting and wrap up the show in a more thematically appropriate way. I would watch your version of GOT any day.
two minutes into watching i kept being distracted by something moving beneath the video
i realized it was the thumbs up counter going up and at the time it only had 90 likes and i went "wtf this is already great why not more?" and realized that the video was less than 1 hour old
Loved the changes to the night king the most. This whole story is brilliant
I LOVE THIS. no i do, really. everything you said was great in my eyes, especially the "Bran saving himself by warging into the direwolf" and the twisted finale. truly amazing stuff, good job! also, i know you said other channels have made videos fixing the end of the show, but i will be subscribed to your channel (even when hacked lol) until you make a video like that too. dont get me wrong, i'll be subscribed after too, but i can die happy after the video
Hope you'll continue this series with other major characters like tyrio, jamie, dany, cersei, as all of them desperately require a rewrite.
i love how this channel when from memeing the episodes to real episode analysis
This is for sure my favorite night king theory, I think it makes a lot of sense in the story. Great video!
As someone who constantly is watching asoiaf videos... this is by far the best rewrite/theorisation of Bran's storyline I have ever come across.
This sounds amazing
Dude I love all of your videos, but this one blows the others out of the water. This was an amazing theory and I want more. Bravo!!
Dude.....this is actually brilliant! I am amazed that you came up with this. This would have made the show infinitely better. Give this man a job writing television!
Great Job! I especially loved your evil pupil Story Line ❤️
Whoever made this thumbnail major props 😂
I died 😂
You got me at the point where Bran finally becomes a knight like he always wanted
This is so crazy it's everything the show should/could've been but even better. Kudos to you man, damn.
really great video!! it's nice to see a creator go beyond shit talking and actually have a go at the material.
i really enjoyed it, thought it was very smart and i hope to see more of this from you
👏 The story and context you gave makes the same ending so much better then I could have ever imagined.
This combined with uniquenameosaurus’s rewrite are absolutely stellar omg
I don't know why nobody says this, but you have a very relaxing voice! It's pleasant to listen to. Also, love your content, especially the humourous ones. They make me laugh whenever I think of them.
your brain power is unmatched omfg!!!!! amazing storytelling
At 22:15 bro started cooking 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Damn, i remember being so invested in his story. It was probably the most captivating for me.
And then… IT WENT NOWHERE!!!
I’m not angry……………..
I really enjoyed the video. I found myself feeling different emotions while watching the video. Great writing. I would love a "Fixing Tyrion" video.
This makes so much more sense than whatever we saw...
Incredible video!!!
Well done!
this is, definitely your best video, hands down!
Omfg, i love the story idea you had. I wished HBO had hired you 8 years or so ago
Omg this was awesome, please make a 4h long video where you eventually put all your changes from all the videos in to one big rewrite beginning from season 5! I would watch that in one sitting, being thrilled and excited about this amazing payoff while also crying bc it never actually happend
No idea how this only has 2.1k likes out of literally hundreds of thousands of views. You nailed it! Well done! 👌
This had some truly amazing ideas that I WISH they had used in the show instead. Many channels may have covered how they’d rewrite the battle of winterfell, etc, but this is another video that makes me curious on your full take, it’s purely imaginative
YOOOOOOOO this is absolute GAS⛽️ good shit man
This is amazing
Bran convincing Tyrion at 27:44 could also be as simple as, "What, you wanna start another war now? Against Mr. God-who-saved-all-your-asses-not-two-weeks-ago?"
Also, even if we stuck with the events portrayed: why would experiencing all things past and present simultaneously make him borderline catatonic?
I’m going to psyop myself into believing this is how it ended. Thanks
I want this video to inspire a 200K+ words long fanfiction so I can finally read an epic conclusion to Bran's arc
Bran being king was dumb
It has been long enough that I now happily believe this is the actual ending.
I like the idea of the Night king being accidentally corrupted rather than intentionally planning it more but overall hell yeah cool af.
Awesome. Bran was always my least fave POV, should I say even disliked POV, but this is amazing. You made his arc so cool and satisfying.
Christ almighty this was miles better than what we got. I’m only halfway through and I’ll sign a petition for you to rewrite seasons 5-8.
damn, that final ending with Tyrion and Bran would've been so rich and deep. Amazing story rewrite!
Nah but Bran warging into the direwolfs in the past is an amazing idea how did 1 youtuber come up w 10x better writing than a whole ass professional team
I would love to watch your revised and very believable adaptation play out on the screen.
11:59 isn't it common knowledge in Westeros that Daenys the Dreamer foresee the Doom, prompting Aenar to move the Targaryens to Dragonstone?
Bran’s season 5 arc was truly like none other
David and Dan are insane. They already had everyone hooked to the show due to the amazing dialogue and complex story telling of George. They didn’t need to keep fantasy elements to a minimum they needed to listen to George and not just think they can do everything better.
My god you just fixed 4 seasons. I demand a redo of seasons 5-8 with you directing!!
WB: Season 8 is done, and D and D are busy with other things, they won't be able to talk about or a make a video on how they could of fixed Bran Strak, How can anyone now.
Supercuts Delight: ''Actually Super Easy Barely An Inconvenience'' (Plays this video)
D and D:
we need a series on thisssss
Love that this evil third raven pupil is giving strong eren from aot vibes just messing with events to plan out how he wants
Unbelievably creative story telling but one thing I would change would be for Bran to warg into Jamie. Would be poetic for him to be the one to save Bran after pushing him out the window and would allow Jamie to be the unbelievable sword fighter that he was before he's right hand was chopped off.
10:45 the 3 eyed raven is not around 1000 years. his name is brynden rivers who was born around 100-150 years ago
Absolute masterpiece I’ve spread on TikTok to try blow this video up
Wow! What an insanely well written story!
My only argument of Bran killing night king, is the Azor hai prophecy about ending the long winter night. Isn't it supposed to be Jon or Dany? The show talks about Azorhai at least couple times.
you absolutely cooked with the battle of winterfell
no its still shit
but with cherry on top
battle of winterfell must be a big lost for them
long night
not a dark short night
long night must be long
One criticism.
