I went to the salt mine based on your video. Was an outstanding tour lasting almost 3 hours, I was blown away by how beautiful it was. Interesting from start to finish. Thank you for your continual excellence in showing us the world. You are still the best You Tube vlogger and it's not even close.
Very slowly making my way through all your recent uploads! :) So I have family in Poland and we visited Krakow and the salt mine when I was in middle school, and watching this now in my late 20’s is just flooding me with so many happy memories. Awesome upload, I’m so happy Poland treated you well, hopefully in the future you can visit more! I hope to go back someday soon too :)
When I went there, they had an impressive music and light presentation in the chapel. It was plunged into darkness and then, to the sound of a classical piece of music, various lights illuminated different features until the chapel was fully lit again.
Love this video. Showing what is unique to this area. The food, view out the windows, the conversation with the man, then, of course the tour. It's like I was there with you. Thank you!! 💓💕
Howdy Gabe, thanks a lot for sharing yet another superb video here which I thoroughly enjoyed watching as always when coming from you.Not only are your videos a sheer joy to view because of the various locations and the beautiful landscapes they show but also very instructive thanks to your nice comments. Just keep the ball rolling buddy, your efforts are highly appreciated here.Best wishes and cordial greetings from William in Bruges(the so-called 'Venice of the North),in Flanders, Belgium.
We toured the Salt Mine and it was incredible! We had 3 in our tour overcome by claustrophobia have to leave, when we got to the bottom of the stairs. However it’s a must do when visiting Krakow! Great video thanks for bringing us back! ~Cara 😊
Oh wow...love this video! We were there in 2019 and it was magnificent! Oh yeah and after we got out we were caught in heavy rain but we sat outside under these huge umbrellas. Brings back nice memories. Real nice video Gabe.
I've been here many times as my husband is from Krakow and we visit every 2 years, ( or did preCovid, we are locked in Australia right now). Krakow is like a second home and I miss it so much.
Thanks for showing us around Gabriel. Watching your videos gave me motivation to start documenting my travels and in 2 weeks I will be traveling throughout Honduras. Hoping to be able to capture the essence of a place as well as you do.
I was there a few years ago, did Auschwtz in the morning and salt mines in afternoon, very tiring but so worth it. My legs were like jelly after going down the steps 😃 I was amazed that even the chandeliers were made out of salt. Very clever
Wow. Thank you for filming the salt mines. I didn’t tour because I couldn’t do the steps. These figures, chapel, and chandelier are carved all out of salt is my understanding.
Amazing video. It seems like you know very well how to catch enough light with your camera in some of these dark places. ;) I always say that these Wieliczka Salt Mines are really unique in all ways, from nature to art. As for art, I saw many things in Europe and Egypt and comparably impressive were for me only mosaics in Ravenna, Italy, and some hieroglyphs in the Valley of the Kings, Egypt. Have a nice time in Ireland now and I hope that you really had a great time in Poland overall.
Thanks for the salt mine tour, Gabriel. We visited there a few years ago but I don't remember seeing the large dining area and restaurant. I do remember taking the miner elevator back up to the top though. Thanks for sharing.
When you're back in Europe I would recommend a trip to the village and salt mine in Hallstatt, Austria. Due to Covid travel bans, it should have far fewer tourists. It's normally swamped by visitors every year.
Gabriel - Love your videos! It is always interesting to compare and contrast your experiences with ours. I find your choice of music to accompany your videos' makes a significant impact on the feel and impact on your viewers. We did not find the Salt Mines "Strange" until we viewed this video with your added music and commentary. Keep the great content coming!
Hey Gabriel, Wonderful video and your gave me one more place to put on my bucket list. Lol it looks like it would be a very educational tour and well worth the trip. I didn't catch how long it took or maybe you didn't say but it would be a good idea to know if you could. Be looking forward to your next video my friend.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Thank you my friend, I wanted to let you know they are starting to open up Thailand to Fournier"s if you are interested in coming this way but you can't get a visa on arrival any more and on top of that you have a lot more paperwork you have to do. There are two shafts available for tourists, you have seen only one. I have seen both, total 3 visits. 40 years ago the tour was longer than it is now.
Gabe, I hope that you will visit Warsaw. It too, is awesome on many counts. Also, the countryside around Częstochowa is lovely too. Częstochowa is not all THAT far away from where you are either! Might make a nice half--day trip, or so?
You make some great videos Gabriel. I'm sure the Polish Tourist Board will appreciate this too :D Pretty sure we have to show a vaccination cert to get in though looking at the travel advice website. I notice you are able to avoid the Quarantine which many countries still seem to have in place depending on which passport one holds or country starting from.
They didn't ask for my vaccination card when I arrived in Poland, but they did ask for a Covid test, which I had. It might be one or another. I wasn't sure myself, so I got a test just in case.
Interesting that you ended the video abruptly and did not comment about your salt mine experirnce. I knew a Scottish couple that came to Krakow and had their wedding in the salt mine chappel. I was in Krakow, but did not attend the wedding. Just watching your video gave me claustrophobic anxiety! The thought of being trapped deeply underground with a bunch of tourists-ugh
