I hope you enjoyed this video, what an incredible place! I'll list some tours below if you want to book a trip to Salt Mines / Auschwitz from Krakow 😇 🌟DAY TRIPS & TOURS FROM KRAKOW🌟 🚌 TOUR FOR SALT MINE gyg.me/knCbPpef 🚍 TOUR FOR AUSCHWITZ AND THE SALT MINE (DAYTRIP): gyg.me/9GjeD47w
Thank you. Glad you appreciate the music! Scott Buckley’s music is copyright free, but you have to list in description to use. Some incredible compositions. And love including some good classical pieces in my vids :)
My Mom and I went there about 20 years ago and it really blew us away. Spectacular!! I thought I'd feel very claustrophobic but not at all. And the air was astonishingly fresh the whole way through.
Hi Ben, thanks for this awesome video of the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Krakow. Really enjoyed seeing the Cathedral with the Salt Chandeliers and the intricate wall carvings. That very high content salt water was sure an unusual Blue and Green color.
Another great watch Ben, I wasn't quite expecting it to be as spectacular as it turned out to be. Winter trips are always a great way to punctuate the winter gloom and I think you hit the jackpot with the last few videos. On another note, I really don't get why this stuff isn't getting promoted more by the algorithm - viewing numbers for the last few videos seem to have fluctuated widely despite them all being excellent. I understand from your comments that this could be the last video for a while, I really hope this isn't the last of your content and we see some of your fab output again in the near future? For now, I'll just watch some more of your back catalogue ! Cheers - Steve
Thanks a lot Steve. That really means a lot. I invest a lot of time, effort and money into my vids. Hoping they all pick up sooner or later, although they're still coming along relatively well! The support is greatly appreciated either way - thanks again Steve
@@BenRobson123 I'm Polish. I recommend you a place in your country. I recommend Chester and North Wales with the Snowdonia or Eryri Mountains. This is my favorite place for weekend trips.
Another awesome video. I was thinking of a trip to Krakow next winter. You've convinced me I really need to go. Shame Ryanir, don't fly to Bratislava from Newcastle as I could do with a decent vlog from you to convince me I need to go there too. 😂
Yesss I hope you visit! It’s beautiful. Save plenty of time too for Auschwitz & salt mines. Zakopane too if you have extra time! Yes.. a shame, there are super cheap flights from Leeds though I’m sure? Anyway I visited for a day in 2019, and I don’t think there is anything in Bratislava really… However, it would a handy place to stay to explore Vienna just next door :)
@@BenRobson123 Well, all the Slovaks I've met (with the exception of one) shared that conviction. :D There are many cool places in Slovakia. Bratislava is not one of them though.
Hello ! Thank you for your video ! Very interesting and helpful. May I ask you , are you going only downstairs. I had an injury and it is ok to go downstairs but it is difficult for me to go upstairs for sooo long.
Thank you! Yes, there’s quite a lot of stairs down to begin with though. And a few more bits as you progress through the mine. From what I can remember there is no climbing upstairs, as you get a lift back up at the end!
@3:50mins - You said it's Cool to see Horses Worked in there. i don't think it was Cool for the Animals spending their Whole life underground in a Salt Mine Working long Hrs day in day out till they're to old or die working
You made another good report. It's good to find something valuable and informative in the sea of stupidity on the YT platform. I regret that so few people appreciate your work. People who have nothing to say and only make stupid faces and drink cocktails have a huge reach. Is this a sign of our times, or maybe it has always been like this?
Thank you for the nice comment! Interesting question… I think it’s a sign of the times unfortunately. But also silly, extreme and dramatised content unfortunately captures the attention and is more marketable!

That salt mine is truly extraordinary. I would never have imagined what this was like so deep underground. Thanks for showing this.
Yep, it's pretty impressive isn't it!
@@BenRobson123 yep, quite incredible.
Another top-notch video. The music was absolutely beautiful. Glad you credited the composer. That will save us some time! Cheers!

Another great video. Love the music in your videos.
Thank you, glad you enjoy the music!😁
Been there recently , my favourite part is the lake, amazing place
Wow, that's incredible, gotta go there someday
I'd certainly recommend it if ever in Krakow!

Thanks for the comment again Ben. And you're right, it was. Although 'night mode' on my phone may well have slightly distorted the colour!
I went on Monday. It's the best trip I've ever done 👍
Looks pretty epic! Had no idea it was as large!
Aye, the chapel especially! Crazy how extensive it is, and easy to forget you're actually underground!
@@BenRobson123 Totally!
I have seen it. Unbelievable. One of the most interesting places i have ever seen. I loved Poland and the Polish people. ❤
🇦🇺
That makes 2 of us, the mines are certainly amazing. The chamber with the big wooden structure blew me away!
Beautiful! So glad I found you!! Thank you and can't wait to watch more of your videos!! Music was beautiful too 🌼
Really appreciate that, hope you enjoy watching the others too!☺️
Another fantastic video Ben. I visited the salt mine in June last year and it's such an amazing place . 😀
Thank you David. Glad you enjoyed, it really is a cool place to visit!

Went here in 2018, long walk doen steps but think most scariest part was the lift back up. The air is so fresh down there
Yep, the lift is a bit scary!
The music was Norwegian. From the composer Grieg.
One of my favourite classical pieces!

How was the walk back to the surface- did you have to walk up 800 steps of stairs too?
There's actually a small lift which takes you back up to the top - I should've included it really!
Another well narrated video! The salt mines were my favorite exhbit when I visited Krakow.
Any videos on Zadar?
Thanks as always Neil! Not for Zadar, never been actually!
❤
I take it that a trip to the salt mine would not be good for people that have trouble walking up and down stairs?
is there any sort of smell when you are down there? Second question is it hard to breathe? anyone have an answer? thanks in advance :D
@@tellhowwackareyou I can’t quite remember a smell, maybe a very slight smell of salt? And no it’s not hard to breathe at all, completely as normal
Fan fact: In this Michalowice highest chamber someone did a bungee jump and it was a world record for such jumping underground
Absolutely loved the Salt mines, but that ancient elevator lift gave me pause. Would not want to be trapped during a failure
Ha I’m not surprised. It’s a bit tight isn’t it, amazing place though! So lucky to get some of the spots to myself, even if for only 30 seconds!
You only go downstairs. Theres a lift at the end to go up

You should have mentioned that all the sculptures & monuments were carved from salt!
:O
You should NOT drink salt water! Not sure why you suggest this
