The whole concert is great. This is midcareer Joni, transitioning to a more Jazz influenced sound. This concert included the great Jaco Pastorious on bass. That was Pat Methany on guitar, a Brecker brother played sax. The album containing this song Heijira is masterful, beautiful, a must listen front to back--might be my favorite Joni album. Hard to pick a favorite though as there are at least 4 or 5 all-time classics from Joni, and a number of others that are really good.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have always thought that was really lovely tribute to Amelia Earhart . Joni is such a wonderful lyricist. A master at painting pictures with words.
