Unfortunately this was player suggestions because how abundant the drop was previously, player rioting because eclairur worth dirt if have no fixa now they get nothing a weapon now worth 100mil and drop once in blue moon.
@gkagara how was drop previously? I played base and the drops were great you can't say they were to much I spend a long time getting skins for wepons from divine I spent months for the drops but the drops were worth so much money it was worth it , also ftp could use fun to get shop passes and stuff to sell you had a ftp economy the issue isn't drops but greed you need ftp economy to sell things to bigger buyers, I mean base wasn't even over and was better but they decided to rush ngs and advertise it religiously in base until base died then they dropped the ball on ngs realese and then kept drip feeding and making greedy moves its no wonder it died they killed their own game to replace it with a worse game honestly I wouldn't even call it a game but a cash grab
Im a solo player, so personal dramas dont effect how much time I spend with the game. As long as there is quality combat and sexy girls, I'll keep playing.
if the combat didn't make the mistake of simplify *and homogenize* instead of simplify *and expand* if every class wasn't stiff af because photon dash and photon glide exist if urgent quests actually told stories within gameplay, like PSO2 if the story read like proper character journeys who start with an immediate sense of identity, like PSO2, instead of reading like an extended introduction I'd gladly still log on. I never missed a day of PSO2 while I was tapped out from NGS a month after launch
bruh base pso2 is more like extended intro.. u just sit in same lobby ship and just battle in various instances.. while NGS you can adventure and explore n such i feel more like actual journey than base
@@akpunk1666 please read again. I was focusing on the point "if the story was an actual journey..... , instead of reading like their extended introduction" .. thats why I said, open world adventures feel more Journey-ing compare to just Instances.
@@jukkininth4837 the OP is talking about character arcs, to which a game's map structure is irrelevant unless Starfield has a better story than Persona 5
There are some great streamers that carry this game through its lack of content. For long standing players this is probably the number 1 time to take a good break.
You are 100% spot on about the drama. I don't get into "beefs" or anything of that nature. I've been playing online multi player games for years. I've learned early on to stay neutral and not to talk too much. But even that doesn't work, some folks just aren't happy. Some folks get off on chaos and hating on people 🙄 I'm a very good player, and I'm kinda popular. There is sooo many jealous folks on this game smh. One thing I've noticed in all aliances that I hate. Which basically defeats the purpose of an alliance. Are the little clicks that are formed. It's so annoying. I like playing with everyone.
I stopped playing NGS i wasn't having much fun with the game tired of doing the same damn thing every single day, I'm tired of the useless grinding an also i hate when people telling new players saying "there's alot to do in the game" when in reality theres nothing to do and the ngs community is the worst i ever seen and i agreed that ppl should play different games don't make NGS the only game you play its really not good for you're mentally and the reason why i left is because i felt lonely and isolated an had no friends to talk to in ngs i got fed up an decided to play FF14 an i was happy i met good friends an the community was very friendly and helpful an for the first time I started to have fun again
Surprised you even found decent people in FF14, as nowadays it's about 80% tribal/Gatekeeper/Elitist territory.... Also, the only group I ever felt like I was really truly a part of was Baby Poppers in Blade & Soul, but this was over half a Decade ago & they all but disbanded a few years after a faulty Outlet burned up my Laptop .... So I haven't gotten to talk to any of them on Discord in nearly that same amount of time .... Been nothing but 100% Vitriolic haters & being shetposted since & if I get pissed about it, I get temp-banned from whatever game it is by azz-kissing GMs ....
Ive been playing this game as a loner since base pso2 and I've been fine. Tbh its weak mindedness to rely on the "social" side of things. I do 100% agree though the game is Jarring, boring and dead there dosent seem to be anything looming in the future which sucks ass. Other than that, people need to reconnect with their childhood side and enjoy playing a game for the fun of it. Not the "friends" after all strangers are strangers no matter how "close" you all feel you are, people can disappear in a drop of a hat...
Normal ppl dont get suicidal by playing games, they stop playing when they dont have fun anymore. Identify urself with a game so hard that you getting trapped by it, is very unhealthy and you should consider to take a break from the internet. You should realy get some help. This is not a joke or hate comment, you should realy get somebody to talk to. I know its hard to accept, but you sound like there are some heavy depressions that can fastly move to suicidal thoughts.
It seems like ngs is finally reaching its limit and it seems like you're reaching your limit too. I stopped playing this game 5 months ago and I am a free man I suggest you free yourself too.
Yeah even though I did play once after 20 days, it was only for about an hour to talk to the few remaining people online in my alliance mostly about their plans going forward. So I am free, consider this my last hurrah.
It's not the game that fosters rats, snakes, and backstabbers. If you get any large amount of people in social spaces, you're going to find manipulators. The GAME is not bad for people. Public Discord servers and social media are far worse in the "cast someone out and get them to hate themselves" category and it's a bit foolish to think otherwise. If this game's community (based off of steam) is around 2k, you can assume that Xbox (which has less MMOs) would be around 3-4k, and PS (which has FFXIV) would be around 1-2k. The community may be dealing some degree of harm to a few people here and there (and yes, 10s and potentially even upward to a hundred people would be considered a few in this case.) The fact is, that social circles are just that. Circles. People who don't fit in or are actually cast out typically have to create their own. I had a bit of drama in Ship 4 as well, and it's not the end of the world. Some people will talk trash on you, but so long as you aren't being dossed, block them and move on. It's just a game and because there's a desire to be competitive, whether that be in lookbook, arks records, popularity, or speedrunning, there will ALWAYS be someone out to get you... That all said, my prediction is this. Blue Protocol's launch will either kick NGS into high gear, or kill it. As another Free to play anime MMO that makes their money off of gacha cosmetics, they should be in direct competition. NGS will cater to the more "Mature" audience, while BP will be more for those who want a decent story and stuff to grind for a bit with more consistent content.
The censorship won't kill the game. I think it might cut off about half of the potential playerbase, but the game was free to begin with. The vast majority of players wouldn't be spending money, and player numbers only does so much. @@cartoonvideos5
I just return to the game after three months hiatus and catching up is a really bad experience the LC augs are a must at this point but the problem is nobody plays LC anymore especially when a full team is required to beat it or at least not waste your time and even maxing out level doesn't get you the power level for any end game content...I think the whole power level thing is screw beyond repair at this point
You and me both buddy. I could never access any of the content on release. I sat down and spec'd out a rifle for my build to increase my dps but the augs weren't the "right" augs and my BP went down even though I got like 3% more dps!
you might be on a ship that isn't very populated. i'd recommend just starting up a new character on ship 1 or 2. i can get leciel runs in at any time of the day, any day of the week on ship 2. if you've got a lot of character, but not account, bound cosmetic stuff then it might be worth paying to switch over, which is unfortunate, but either way i think ship 1 or 2 will boost your playability by quite a lot. i've also heard complaints about public ERP that seem to stem from ship 4. never seen that on ship 2.
@@crestfallenhussar895 BP isn't everything, the game can calculate it a little bit weird. people who hyper focus on BP are weirdos, as long as you have enough BP to do content then you're fine.
@@beardalaxy I don't have enough BP to do content that was always the issue. I just always fell short and then I'd try to grind up a strong piece of gear using the augs I saved and it still wasn't enough. Didn't help I was getting BP screwed for ages being ranger because until recently it just had like 15 less BP as a class. Game just isn't fun anymore and I'm done grinding to try to get to another level of grind.
I feel everyone has a different view of the game. I myself enjoy the game but i mostly play solo unless someone asks me to join them other then that i do my stuff in game then get off the game. You have your own right to feel like you do. But to me game isnt dying its just the game is thinning out from the people that are looking for certain things in the game that the game aint going to give them right now. Remember we dont make the game but it is up to us to find enjoyment out of it. If you dont then i guess it is time to move on like you said.
Ya know, it's sorta strange. I was just browsing a video from an NGS creator, looking at what's coming up for the Headline, and I see this title in the side-bar. Out of curiosity, I click it. Trained to not have knee-jerk reactions from titles (cause this is bloody youtube in 2023, and it's still broken), I give it a fair listen. And ya know what. Yeah, you're right. I am caught in a net. I don't feel like logging on, but I want that N-Meseta. And those seasonal shop items. So I can buy phashion. And show it off to NO ONE, cause I'm fricken wary of interacting in PSO2 (more generally fear of socializing online, but the cliquishness doesn't help). Game is dead rants can be iffy, sometimes with just a bunch of opinionated tosh from someone who was mad cause their class isn't hittng as hard as another, or something else. But this vid? Hit the nail on the head. I'm not having fun. I do run on FOMO. I have had genuine fun with some content, but that's too few and far between. I do just log in out of pure compulsion. It's a shame when logging in to a game for literally 15 minutes a day feels like a burdonsome chore. And I can't complain, because no one makes me do this. I do this of my own volition. I'm even aware I'm being manipulated psychologically, so I don't really have an excuse. Even at the time of watching this video, I was debating logging in, the naguish (yes, "naguish" or "nagging anguish") of missing a day gnawing at me as I try to save up for an item at 8mil meseta. And I have to admit.. I definitely CAN stop playing. But no, I *refuse* to stop playing because I am floating on copium... for better or for worse. Slave mentality? I'd be a liar if I didn't say that's what it is. I speak only for myself, not others, but maybe stopping the game would be best for me. Maybe repetition for the sake of repetition is madness. But I won't stop, because of sunk cost falacies, and misplaced hope, and snares, and fomo nets, and.... "Net evil." Yeah. Maybe it is... Thanks for the video. Ouch. You stepped on my toe, Kayde. But thanks nevertheless.
Your welcome. Thanks for having an open mind and the ability to listen. Even if you’re the only person this helped it was worth it. It’ll be hard to let go but keep working on it bit by bit.
NGS has a low chance of surviving if they also fail next year. Cuz this year theres nothing much except to story. So players did hiatus for a while until a major patch comes again or if we atleast leave the halpha planet lol. Sadly the game has potential but handled poorly
As a content creator, and lover of the PSO series. I really don’t see myself flourishing in this game, there’s enough creators fitting the bill and they deserve it. With that being said, if content doesn’t get more interesting I feel like if they want to grow it’s not going to be with PSO, I’ve harshly accepted that once creative space came out. I’ll play every blue moon but, I’m on the hunt to stream something new, challenging and worth my time and money.
I've played so many CN games I could see all the things you said within the first week of playing. It's a real shame that these games make money because now every region is doing this.
Throughout my entire time in NGS and PSO 2 and PSU the community is all the same, always, I never have been able to find a group to mesh well with, it kind of feels like being at a job for real, like you're friendly with people, but don't get too comfortable, you know? I genuinely love Phantasy Star and games in general I want to non stop talk about games with people who love to get deep and nerdy into it, but it always also feels like the people who I can talk to about things are like brick walls. No I don't want to talk about (insert RL shit here / Small talk) all the time, I would like to talk about the GAMES WE ARE PLAYING. I will say Phantasy Star as a whole has one of the worst elitist concentrations, I have ever experienced. Thankfully, by the time I got to PSO 2 I needed no hand holding, but witnessing people being afraid to ask about simple things is truly saddening. The best ''friends'' I've had were all basically just partner cards I'd hit up for some runs, with few words spoken aside from the mission we were doing, and saying what's up lmao. It's grown on me, like a party full of silent protags. Finding a cool group/Alliance that has 0 drama or weird/toxic relationahips with other groups would be nice. Just people wanting to play games.
It's pretty understandable that the mob mentality and community issues are part of causing the downfall yes. Still I think it's just SEGA not investing or even care about this title as much as their popular IPs, I believe that had caused it's downfall, back then Base PSO2 despite having failed overseas servers(because of stupid P2W decisions) had always persisted as one of the most popular Live Service Online Games alongside FFXIV and could stand with them even. Now it can't even have collabs with the core Fate franchise or even afford to license Collab with much well known Anime/Game IPs on NGS, instead relying on Netflix reboots or underdog new games like Melty Blood etc. They even forecasted a reduction of profitability on their Investor Presentation in the next Quarter, expecting the game to go even lower without explaining or planning to drastically improve the game further. It's so jarring to see how the Yakuza/Persona/Sonic IP being so successful while they ignore Phantasy Star as a whole and somehow forgot it was an effort from Sonic Team back then. I just hope the best happens really and that they are truly cooking in the background to resolve the game by next year really, or else maybe just create offline Single Player experiences back again since PSNova was the last one.
Ohh sneaky aren't you Sega made adjustment to their profit projection because they canceled trash like Hyena and other unannounced project that was made by their western studios, you know what Hyena is? A live service action shooting game featuring Drag Queen made by Sega western studios and their main jp fans ain't gonna having it. Project was scrapped burned and cancelled, they learn enough from Square Enix flop with Forspoken go woke go broke, ain't having that. Melty blood is a collab recently like last year, you want another type moon collab? That might have to wait, the thing with PSO NGS what you have in global version has been modified from their Japanese version like in NGS they said type 1 type 2, while in JP version it is masculine/male body and feminine/female body, you also have different limit in character creation in JP version you can make character below 150cm, in Global server the lowest limit of your character height is 150cm, the translation also differ from what JP voice line said.
Lol, PSO2 could never stand alongside FFXIV, don't start deluding yourself. NGS isn't really a game to them, it's just a machine to keep making money with the gacha, this is why they care so little about the game itself.
I got sick of pretty much everything to do with this game. haven't touched it in months. You covered some dark topics but I'm not surprised, its easy to get caught in a habit of playing a monotonous game and not realize how draining it is
@@KaydeTheFang The problem with your timeline is Gwiz already leaked that they were well into their 2024 production, leciel exploration was in development since right before kvaris dropped and the CM team saw their 2024 plan prior to ver2 releasing, so if an EoS was to occur it wouldnt be til post july 2024 if that.
I sense that he is having problem with his ship and decide to quit and using this as reason. I dunno what's going on with ship 4 but in ship 1-2 the game is alive friend list is pretty much populated and alliance still see activities. If the game is dying and Sega see that there will be merge of ship or there will be change in development lead, this is taken from historical development of base pso2, during development the devs flop so bad it's riled up the player and guess what? I completely agree with you I had stuff happen to me in game over a dumb name and had a lot of people harass me over it I left this game in August and I’m glad I left it I feel a lot better than I did
I don't know you, but you just state you tried to be a tyrant in ship 4 and it backfired etc. I am sorry the people you met you feel like they stabbed you in the back and or drama etc. but I've met a ton of great people that I enjoy logging in and bantering with. A lot of games do dailies and not much else but it seems like you may be applying a bitter hatred of your experience with players to the overall game somewhat also. I fully agree in that the game is a treadmill and needs more content though.
People will always be people. People are shitty that's why I prefer my dogs. Bullying is something you encounter in every game. There is always gonna be those few trolls that ruin it. That is inescapable. If this is the case may as well get rid every game in general as well as social media and bring it back to the way it was back then when you could just play solo or local with close friends. The greed of the player base is what sparks the greed and Sloth of the developers of any game. Not just pso2ngs. Oh and of course pride and ego. This a generation of gamers that wanna be mister big shot youtuber for fame. Big shot influencer. Will do anything for that clout. Say anything for that fame. Gone are the days when we can sit and enjoy a game or movie or music or food without everything being canceled so people lose their jobs their livelihood. Their sanity. Their lives. Instead of help we make matters worse. I hope you don't play games like star trek online or any competitive or survival games it can get just as bad or worse. Stay blessed.
Long story short, this isn't an MMORPG anymore and NGS was never made to be one, it's a social game like IMVU or Second Life, only it has a crappy story and an incredibly simple combat system. And it became very clear when their almighty 2.0 update was nothing more than housing. This game exists solely for desperate weirdos to buy as many outfits as possible from FOMO Gachas.
Idk, I'm on ship 1 and game seems fine to me. Most are just minding their own businesses whether it's LTQs, LE, UQ or just chilling. So yeah, people are mostly chilling in the game. It's okay if you feel like the way you do but not everyone will agree. Remember, this is a free mmorpg/jmmorpg and most of mmorpg/jmmorpg includes a whole freaking lot of grinding whether it's combat zones(mob farming), quests or mats gathering. Most important thing is to have fun playing the game. If you're not enjoying it or you feel like it's a chore to log in and do dailies, then it's best to take a break. Go do other things, play other games. If you don't take a break, you will burn out. Don't get me wrong, I also feel tired sometimes to grind and/or farm meseta and mats but I don't push myself to do it. I just play other games, mainly Dota2 with a friend so it's a change of pace. Currently, I feel tired grinding in NGS as I just finished my Raiden Shogun and Kafka cosplay so I'm just chilling in the game helping people from my alliance on quests or just showing off the cosplay in the city. TL;DR Have fun in the game, take a break if it's not fun anymore.
I'm on ship 1 and it's pretty busy. I often don't wait for the 24 man limited time quest. Right now I'm good. I'm not into fashion or deeply into the social aspects of the game. My character is vey solid gearwise and I'm in an Alliance. I'll play the game until I don't enjoy it. I agree that people can make the environment toxic; it doesn't affect me because I don't get involved at all but I see the arguments sometimes. People are idiots...
Honestly ive just been playing path of titans. Game is still in preview and 10x more entertaining. Another thing, you are so right about the loud people being rats and just evil individuals. More notably the more popular discords where they hang out and actively degrade one another.
I don't think pso2 will be going anywhere. It'll continue slowly and silently. The people done with it will be done and eventually move on. Some other online games move on with much less and are still around. I still would like to play this game with people. Pso2 base specifically. I feel enjoyment can still be had there if I could find people to play it with and just enjoy the old things. Could get a laugh at e-trials seeing someone snatched up by fungi out of nowhere. Or a player messing around too much finished off by a gel wulff spawning ontop of them. I really should work on finding people. ^^ For the future, I think pso2 will be that game people will visit when they have a craving or just miss their character. Or perhaps miss the game itself. That's what brings me back. There isn't another game I know of that allows me to fight like pso2 does.
You know I feel its weird nobody ever mentions how long it actually took base pso2 to actually get as content packed as it is because alot of people never played base pso2 from. the start, joined late or just only played the global version but like. it took like 10 years and alot of its real good content only started happening after episode 1.... I feel like the problem isn't that it pales in comparison to base. its more like it pales in comparison to the completed base which was 10 years of content...... which was a new region and class every year or two years. the free roam makes it feel smaller but the ngs maps are about the same size as base pso2 maps that just seemed fresher because they were usually randomized dungeon instances... or even re-colors... the dolls are weak ass enemy designs tho. we got like 4 classes in 1 year. and 4 regions as well. which again are about the same size just feels smaller because its not cut into instances like base pso2. we have the same number of enemies and bosses basically you'd find in episode 1. probably is they're all fucking dolls. IN REALITY the problem is that ngs is actually bare bones like base pso2 kinda was at episode 1. and its 2023 and everyone expects it to be ff14 or the completed base pso2. but ignore that this was how base pso2 was but we just literally had nothing to compare it to to trash on it. OH WAIT WE DID. Alot. and I mean alot of Pso-1 players I knew called base pso2 too different and even said it wasn't pso to them. yet its really popular now.... like jeez atleast give ngs some time. toomkthem 3 years to get high octane in base pso2. it hasn't even been a much passed 2 years yet with ngs...
Yes base game started to kick gear in year 3 after all planet has been fleshed out they started to fill it with all sort of things, this exactly why we revisit this region like Aelio and next month Retem, exactly like how base pso2 was developed. The content is starting to get harder lately with appearance of Solus and next they will release another boss equal to it, it does seem to proceed incrementally that way.
Yea right. It took SEGA a decade to make base pso2 good. Yet, become 0 IQ again when making NGS as if the decade of experiences of making base pso2 didn't exist.
All I have to say is love the fashion drip. But as a player that plays Lineage 2. Our game is very dead but I still enjoy the game no matter how negative others r. Yea I fully understand how u feel. But being negative about it will only sink u in a darker hole. If you guys ever played Mabinogi thats a "dead game " but the player base is amazing just like the game u playing. Yea u will meet people that will give u a bad experience but thats life bro
6:23 this, and in the universe of "phantasy star" 3d era Pso2Ngs its the "perfect idea" we have all the players interacts each other, we have solo missions, we have party missions, this game have good history and we can replay it. Maybe Sega never make another pso mmo like ngs vibe because is to risk to put a money on. For me ngs its perfect for the fan base we are old and dont have much time to grind the game, and ngs have a lot grind but is more fast paced
I've been playing PSO2 since the global beta launch all the way till now. Yeah there have been some short comings with NGS compared to base game, but one thing I've learned was to find MY own enjoyment out of it. I hate the garbage drop rates, and with recycled to little "new" content chaps my ass from time to time but when I get burned out, I take my break from NGS. I'm not sure if this just pure bad management, or Sega's own way of putting this franchise to bed but I'm making the most out of what I have, whether its combat or dressing up my toons. Now the community is a coin toss. I've always been a solo player so I've always been an on looker towards the cliques on here and from my experience there is little to no difference to social circles anywhere else. There are just as many good meat sacks out there as there are bad and it sucks to be vulnerable to the wrong one but you live and learn and hopefully you'll have a better nose for sniffing out shitty people. Any new players I run into I offer any advice (if asked) and sometimes buy cosmetics and gear if I have the spare meseta. Will I make a friend, maybe but regardless I keep it pushing. I've ran into my fair share of degens who were a bit overzealous of what they wanted to do with my characters but no harm no foul, and if there was someone who I did not care for I blacklisted them, and continue my day. I love the freedom of the customize you can have to this game, but I understand if that is not enough for some. My point is that just like any other game, it can be whatever you want it to turn out to be, but don't let it be your end all.
I played took me about 1 years to let go of NGS. I feel bad for the people that are trapped. No new content, repetitive, enemy’s look the same, community is toxic, and a lot of grown adults men trying to flirt with each other. I will put it this way there is so much games out there to enjoy. This game need to die yes
I quit NGS in dec of 2021 and haven't reinstalled game since. NGS killed the IP, PSO2 was one of my fav games of all time how could they fail so hard? They should sell PSO2 offline edition with all skins included like they did with PSP Infinity 2 plus with optional coop mode (through steam servers) or p2p.
I love the game but I could not withstand this content draught, SEGA has been doing this for a while. I just pause for like 4-5 months minimum every time until there is a worthwhile patch to play through. I don't know why they wouldnt just do things right sometimes...
I agree on the aspect of there being a lack of content and Sega is too lazy to keep engaging content but have proven they got the potential. And for the drama, yes tons of people that play this game always have something wrong with them but the majority of drama you're in is your fault. Pick better people to hang around and you won't see so many problems
I quit PS02 because of time gating, thier new pay 2 win mechanics, stupid drop rates, no real content, no real effort into story, same photon arts from since the start!!!
Dude i think you just need to not put so much of urself into a game or on the internet in general, and just do more shit away from it and "touch grass" i guess is the asshole way of saying it. play the game for what it is. its the internet, drama on it doesn't have to mean shit if you aren't terminally hooked to it. i play the game and have fun. i don't think everyone playing it is a social outcast because they are playing a "weeb" game either. normal people like anime too man lol its really not that deep or niche. I think the problem you and the people involved in the dramas that happen are a result of being terminally online in general. and because this is a game where you can make a hot anime honker donker mommy, the terminally online flock to it. I agree the games dying, i agree its probably not a game you should main anymore. but when it comes to drama backstabbing rats and suicide attempts, that's on the people involved. not the game. I experience none of this. but the way i play may be different i guess.
I don't even play ngs. If they allowed you to only install base game as standalone i would do that. Ngs killed the hell out of the fun and addicting gameplay loop. They oversimplified it too much. It's just boring because being good at the game isn't a question of your actual skill anymore. It's a question of how good your gear is because every class has a very large margin for error. Way too large if you ask me. There's literally no challenge. Just content padding because in order to do anything you have to be of not only the same level, but also the same battle power. Base pso2 i could do EQs with my friends at level 50! That's halfway to max level in base. The only thing they've added to the game that's unique and special is the custom room maker, but as far as i know. Most of us didn't sign up to become home renovators. This is such a let down and a real shot in the heart. I may have been a global baby, but i started when global was in beta and stayed with it until ngs' release and i knew that everything was going to shit when i saw the first ngs reveal. It looked rushed, It looked undercooked, it looked unfinished and there was nothing within it that inspired any amount of confidence at all. The whole thing just looked like what was basically a tech demo for something else. Like a sort of benchmark game rather than base pso2 being presented as the craziest thing that i had to be playing as soon as possible. All the crazy cool shit i experienced will never be forgotten, but damn do i hate that i have to watch one of my favorite games be dragged down to hell by a shitty tumor it wasn't able to get rid of
i'll leave when there's an mmo that has at least as good combat where all playable content is free (note: dragon nest has worse combat. poe has worse combat. bdo has worse combat and isn't free.)
this is how i feel man. the combat is so smooth. any other MMO i've tried just feels really clunky and jank in comparison. i mean, they might be acquired tastes and target different styles of players. NGS movement is so smooth and very flashy. it's definitely got the best monetization system i've ever seen, too. heck, even the fact that you can wear whatever outfits you want despite your race/class or even gender is insane when you compare it to every other MMO out there that is very restrictive on that stuff. what do you mean i can't wear an outfit because i didn't pick the right class? what do you mean i'm locked to certain races because i picked this certain class instead of a different one? then a lot of these games don't have player shops either. i think the next best monetization i've seen is like, runescape. but even then, runescape still locks you out of content if you don't have a membership, which isn't something NGS does. that was part of what really attracted me to the game as well.
I think the game could still make a comeback. Pso2 launched in an equally bad, arguably worse state, but 7 years after launch it became the game everybody loved so much you couldn't say anything bad about it. The question is whether it will take 7 years, whether it will happen at all, and will the game will survive til then? It all seems to point to no if they continue down this route.
Game is far from dying. Steam is not a good way to gage a player base. Its on Windows store, EPIC store , Xbox store, Ps store, Nintendo cloud. NOW IF the game is doing bad Sega has no problem closing down the global servers and keep the JP servers running. They have done it before. but so far your video is debunk because the earnings report show that its very profitable for sega. You are also not behind if you dont play the game. They do seasonals events to help catch people up. This video comes across more as a " I am personally quitting the game and you should too." On a side note I did not even know people played on ship 4 lol
I feel like the release of ToF on PlayStation definitely has hurt New Genesis. I haven't played this game in a long time due to how god awful the gearing system is. The biggest mistake Sega made was prioritizing greed over a good gameplay experience. As well as the Syberbolt banning for allegations of hacking (lets be honest, he was banned because the global team is scared shitless of criticism that makes them look bad). I've been playing the First Descendant open beta and that game shows more promise than New Genesis ever has. I can guarantee you also that Sega realized just how badly they fucked up with Xbox exclusivity that they released it on PlayStation in a desperate attempt to save New Genesis
Fuckin hell bro, you leave NGS for a game that actually put equipment behind Gacha game? Like genshin impact and the like, you accuse us being bot but it seems you are the bot.
"I feel like the release of ToF on PlayStation definitely has hurt New Genesis." Actually not that much PSO2NGS for the PS4 and PS5 only managed to reach the top 10 most downloaded free to play games for the month it released. It never managed to reach that top 10 again in all major market NA/EU/CAD/JP. PSO2NGS has been failing long before TOF dropped. People see a brand new game, they install it (honeymoon phase period) and if the game is not good or fun for them they quit (post-honeymoon phase) and that's exactly what they did. Majority of them quit because the game is not good. IDK if TOF can sustain considering all the bugs but the graphs are public record so we will see after 1-2 months after the honeymoon phase period.
Because once you installed it it doesn't count for next month of ranks. 1/3 of my active friend list is PS4 user. You guys trying to justify mental gymnastics that the game is dying, no it is not. From track record if someone is mess up that bad like you guys claim, there will be head to chop, PSO2 track record always resulting to this if the developer team or one in charge do terribly in developing PSO2 franchise. The fact we didn't heard any change so far pointing that the team meeting expectation.
@@gkagara Actually it counts launch (launching the game) + updates for it to count for the live-service games hence why we have games like Apex Legends, Fortnite, COD, Destiny 2, Genshin managing to remain at the top list for years and that's not just through player acquisition. The "majority of people" are not actually going to be redownloading the game from 0. edit: elaborate
Naw they not gonna kill the game it makes them money honestly i think they know ff14 dawn trail is around the corner they might be more worried about that honestly
The game is dead. Its been dead. It had a lot of potential. The drops that should exist, dont. Bosses should drop legendary items like armor, weapons, cosmetic items, and not just stat number boosters. Half the fun of MMOs is beating a big boss and getting a legendary super rare weapon or armor and it making your character look super sick. The paywalls set by players is asinine, the content is lackluster, and anymore its just a cosplay simulator. The lack of content makes this a waste of time.
No offense but you're going to encounter a lot of dumb high school drama in every game this isnt anything new Still if the game aint it for you then yea you should move on but saying it needs to die already when theres ppl that enjoy the game is a no lol For me, i knew what i signed up for Because this is the same crap they pulled with JP base pso2 on the updates (which i understand it doesnt fly in this day/age) and ppl talked crap about that back then as well. I play both base game and ngs to keep me busy with it so i get plenty out of it and the game has always been grindy. Im mostly just waiting til the game really hits its endgame for ngs (final version/episode/update) and see how it ends. I do agree with your legit criticism especially that you want the game to be good but there are some things i disagree in your vid.
pso2 i played over 12000 hours (2000-3000hrs fun at chatting in lobby) at JP and NA and i loved it so much but ngs doo the most things wrong, the game gets only more and more boring its nothing too do get new story for less then 1hour all 2-6months.... its useless to play it more and more... its only more goldcow and recolored and remake old trash again and again, i play some indie games made from 1-5 guys and the games get more content and faster content then sega! its a point i think sega doing anything really wrong xD give players a new update for grind over 1500hours and get not what the gamers want sorry but the game is trash i grind for all weapons over 4500hours and never get one of it so how can i say its trash? play a game and make no progress is useless :D the game gives me from update to update more things too hate the game the last 25 years i never hate a game so much as ngs bcz. sega thinks goldcow is better then make a good game or all others, at other moos i was all time only in 1 or max. 2 guilds over years at ngs i have all 1-4weeks a new alliance and its only boring too play a mmo solo :D
As a JP player that played base game since 2012 migrate to global because moving overseas. I am gonna call this now, the game is not dead, it will continue for foreseeable future. The player count will bounce back next month when there is update and will steadily dwindle again until next update dropped. Using steam chart to say only 3-2k people online at a time is definitely wrong the game have many different port like PS4 and Xbox. Not to mention separate JP server, with the console player there. If SEGA sense the game is dying they will replace someone and take drastic action like the base game there is debacle in mid development of base game it's severe enough SEGA actually replace the one in charge of the game. The bottom line is SEGA will not let PSO go it is their golden egg. I'll Subcribe to you only to trash talk you later in 6 month because of this nonsense.
After done watching your video I say you have problem with your surrounding not actually with the game, the slow month finally get you because the situation in your ship. As alliance leader for you to go AWOL is big no no, you are the center and heart of alliance if you're gone people will leave and and not be online, I don't know whatever is going on in ship 4 but from your rant I take it is pretty dire, ship 4 is extremely tight knit they even have their own community manager, huge difference with ship 1 we don't have anyone here, in ship 4 going against the community and you will see yourself get marginalized, it is not only you btw many people express this concern as well so the most reliable way to address this is to move ship. You can't get into trouble and then leave and not online especially as alliance leader instead you need to talk with your member and think about way of solving this and if you can't solve your problem with ship 4 my suggestions is to jump ship, you retain everything when You jump ship but the process is not instant and will only be done in next maintenance. Come over to ship 1 or maybe 2 where the ship is less uniform Iike ship 4, even keroppy agree there is something terrifying about ship 4 and if you're not conforming in ship 4 you will be marginalized.
People have a different idea of what a dead game is. A dead game to some is one that is receiving no more updates going forward, to others, it's a dwindling player base in a game that shows no signs of improvement, I am in this category when it comes to something that I would call a dead game. NGS is a dead game because it has no real hope of ever growing, it will remain the way it is now, slowly losing it's remaining players until Sega decides to call it a day. Yes, the player numbers will grow again with October's update, but the update is going to be so bad (the roadmap shows how bad it will be) that it will shrink back to the lower numbers it is at right now. Also, when you say it's going to grow, by how much exactly? 500 players? because that is usually how much it grows after each "major" update. So it's not really bouncing back at all. Seriously, what is so great about October's update? Another Duel Quest, nobody cares. New ranks for combat zones, nobody cares, players are sick of combat zones. A new UQ, could be good, but like all NGS UQ's it will get boring after a few runs. Nobody is logging in to play a quest that will pop up every few hours. Another collab, the collabs are garbage. Collabs in NGS is just Sega saying "give me money" but they don't give anything fun for the player to do. Limited Quest, nobody cares. The limited quests are so boring, why would anybody care? Story, which will be another 10 minutes (at best) of nothing. Probably just Aina changing her outfit so they can sell it to us later. Also, using the Steam chart is not wrong because it's the best way to gauge player interest. It's already been proven that Microsoft and Playstation numbers are nothing special. If there is 2k online on Steam, there is less than 1k on Playstation and even less on Xbox. The game's population is terrible, there is no point sugar coating it. We have 4 servers for the entire world minus Japan and few other countries. Games like this usually have regional servers, but NGS is so small that it doesn't need them. I must also remind you that these numbers you see is spread out over 2 games. Yes, base player numbers are very low at this point, but a couple hundred of the 3-4k players that are online at peak times are actually playing base game. If the games were separated, you would see Steam's numbers drop even more.

this is concurrent players as well, so 2,000 concurrent players on steam alone is honestly not that bad when you consider that many people only play for like an hour at a time. but then you factor like 5 different consoles into it as well as epic and xbox, and it seems like there's still a pretty healthy amount of players here. i think that these people complaining they can't find games and stuff might not be on very popular ships, like 3 or 4. i can always find games and i play in the middle of the night because i'm awake at odd hours. ship 2.
Wtf did I just listen to? This makes absolutely 0 sense, it's not the game that promotes whatever bs you're saying is happening, it's some players, I have had my fair share of drama within the game but nothing to the point of committing suicide or bs like that, it's not the game, it's SOME players, and once you ignore them you'll see how they'll just shrivel up and disappear into nothingness, don't spread misinformation please, this game is the best game out there, and this is coming from someone who played a lot of mmorpgs and dealt with countless players of different types, instead of being harsh on the game and only showing its cons, try to shed some light on the pros too, I feel sorry for anyone who'd listen to whatever you're saying here and taking your words for it, the game is absolutely amazing and it's nothing like what you're making it to be, and if there's anyone out there reading this comment, please try the game yourselves and you'll see just how unique it is, I won't say it doesn't have downs, it has a bunch but then again every game does, so try it out, and then judge it, don't listen to whatever people say when they only mention the downs, add some more downs to it that they pulled out of their butts and not mentioning a single good thing about it, making the game look like evil incarnate, this is some bullshit.
Yes you can clearly hear it from his rant that he have some problem within his ship and refuse to resolve it and this causing him to feel marginalized and somewhat hated, instead addressing the problem he ran dan away and ultimately just lashing out at the game.
Don't worry, i played the game and i agree to what you are saying. This jerk is just another one of those out there trying to spread negativity, nothing original really. From my experience, players don't say shit about the game in-game, just on social media like Twitter and UA-cam, so it's easy for me to ignore it all along since Twitter is trash and most of the time i just use youtube to listen to music.

That shit seems more interesting than the entirety of NGS's lore lol but it also seems like it was quite the draining experience so I wouldnt expect you to want to talk about it much more than you already did which is understandable.
NGS wasn't even better than base pso2 at release and it still isn't today, NGS did what defiance 2050 did were a lot of changes were made that negatively impacted the game that no one asked for and instead of trying to resolve the problems with the game they got rid of the original to make the sequel look less trashy
I thought the same but with the release of the new iPhone specs, re4 remake, it seems that this game will do better as a mobil game. I stopped giving them money and many have. that's why the shop has ridiculously priced "phasion." My 10 year old daughter still enjoys it and calls it space barbie.
idk about you guys, but i don't consider a game with 2,000 concurrent players a dead game. if i can still queue into leciel or a UQ at 4AM on a wednesday, i'm pretty sure the game is alive enough for me to enjoy it with others. i know of plenty of ACTUALLY dead games, games that you can't play anymore, games that are complete ghost towns that only exist to try and scrape money from the most dedicated players, games that are on literal life support by 1 dev who updates the shop rotation every week. NGS is nowhere close to it. if you don't want to play then don't play, but it's far from dead.
Yeah, I am completely done with video games in general if this is the trend. World of Warcraft = Dead, Final Fantasy 14 = Dead, Minecraft = Dead, Pacman? = Dead. All video games are Dead. I've noticed, because I have not seen many of my friends. The Hell is the point of gaming anyway? Not the type to waste my time and money flocking to what is and trending like most people tend to do. Any game where politics is a bannable offence attracted me because it was a true form of escapism. Dead or not, still going to continue to play, until the servers permanently shut down, my Xbox Series X controller will not be sent to a landfill until then. I apologize for your unfortunate experience on ship 4.

its true the game has lack of content for creators , but creators and toxic players what's killing the game. more so then Sega themselves... click bathing for rage veiws and personal rants..smh I do agree with one thing, if your not having fun then just play something else till perhaps the devs start bringing more to it.. or mix it up and play other games.. maybe log in during scratch day or large updates wen servers peek to say hi to old friends you don't talk to in discord.. if you still like some of the social aspect of the game your outlook is so negative it kinda crazy "slave labor" you totally need to quit anything in your life that would make you feel like that :/ pushing your negative perspective on people is one thing, but telling new players and people who are still enjoying it to quit still is wrong you mine as well stand in beginners block protesting the game "this game sucks the people suck dont play the game!" that mentality is what's going to drive good people away from the game b4 they play through it them selfs or people who need a break not return to it when things do get better like you said pso is filled with shut in otakus, of corse there's going to be sad people there was depressed people in the game wen pso2 global had high population.... its called moderation, anyone living inside a video game is going to be depressed not matter the content, also bullying is a banable offense, why not record and report players? trust me I'm not belittling depressions its a serious matter, but blaming pso for it is misplaced anger, them talking to bad people and using a video games community as there main social outlet is just a small part of a bigger issue for them people are crule online its not isolated to ngs, they would get the same treatment in most social media and chat rooms is ngs community the best? as a whole during low pop no..but there's games with worse comunities but there are some groups of really good people around you can come across that still play and enjoy the game people that understand we`re all here to have a good time ~ship 3 Best ship~ im not saying you don't have a right to be upset ether.. I have friends who need to rant and leave too, I even believe 100% the game can be better and I'm currently on a pso break but using your platform to hammer fist a game.. wen your just burnt out of it and got caught in dumb drama isn't helping anyone your not helping people who struggle with depression by making this those people need a professional not another video game or media outlet good family or friends who care and will listen is also important
i got into PSO many years ago or the phantasy star series rather, i was very excited with PSO2 NGS and they just cared about the gambling rather than allowing me to have something meaningful to do with friends. the mission system wasnt fun or intuitive the crafting was fun or intuitive the fashion was cool, but then the only people who would talk are a bunch of socially autistic anime horn dogs and drama addicted basement dwellers. i was invited to an alliance guild or whatever and it was endless bickering and gossip. i made it to endgame and played only a few months ago, but no more. i just wish i could experience phantasy star universe for the first time again. rest in peace ship 4, some of yall were okay.

The community may be dealing some degree of harm to a few people here and there (and yes, 10s and potentially even upward to a hundred people would be considered a few in this case.)
The fact is, that social circles are just that.
BP is DoA for western 😂
The censorship won't kill the game. I think it might cut off about half of the potential playerbase, but the game was free to begin with. The vast majority of players wouldn't be spending money, and player numbers only does so much. @@cartoonvideos5

@@beardalaxy I'm on ship 1 😅
Absolutely same shiet.
Yea there are too many cliques and I have issues socializing.
NGS has a low chance of surviving if they also fail next year. Cuz this year theres nothing much except to story.
So players did hiatus for a while until a major patch comes again or if we atleast leave the halpha planet lol. Sadly the game has potential
but handled poorly
As a content creator, and lover of the PSO series. I really don’t see myself flourishing in this game, there’s enough creators fitting the bill and they deserve it. With that being said, if content doesn’t get more interesting I feel like if they want to grow it’s not going to be with PSO, I’ve harshly accepted that once creative space came out. I’ll play every blue moon but, I’m on the hunt to stream something new, challenging and worth my time and money.
This aged like milk.
I've played so many CN games I could see all the things you said within the first week of playing. It's a real shame that these games make money because now every region is doing this.
I'm just doing my dailies now then log off. I heard some rumors that a 10* weapon is coming. I still enjoy the game so I'm going to keep on playing.
Uninstalled last month. So glad to be free of a game that doesn’t respect my time.
You covered some dark topics but I'm not surprised, its easy to get caught in a habit of playing a monotonous game and not realize how draining it is
Yeah it does get a bit dark, sorry about that.

TL;DR
Have fun in the game, take a break if it's not fun anymore.
They shouldn't have rushed the base game. The old events and concerts were amazing
Honestly ive just been playing path of titans. Game is still in preview and 10x more entertaining. Another thing, you are so right about the loud people being rats and just evil individuals. More notably the more popular discords where they hang out and actively degrade one another.
I hope the next Phantasy Star is the best game it could be
I don't think pso2 will be going anywhere.
For the future, I think pso2 will be that game people will visit when they have a craving or just miss their character.
I haven't played in a while. I saw the recent headline and didn't see anything good. Idk when it will be better.
I disagree with alot, but i can agree if you got mental health issues this game isnt good one, it's been and even more so now days the wild west
They should sell PSO2 offline edition with all skins included like they did with PSP Infinity 2 plus with optional coop mode (through steam servers) or p2p.
i just want a pso remake
I love the game but I could not withstand this content draught, SEGA has been doing this for a while. I just pause for like 4-5 months minimum every time until there is a worthwhile patch to play through. I don't know why they wouldnt just do things right sometimes...
this didnt age well
And UA-cam just recommended this to me. I guess to make the community verify if his prediction was right or wrong lol
nip 0iq whales are still keeping game alive as long as they are still playing they won't shut off this garbage game
The problem is on the jp side the game keeps its popularity, and the jp playerbase is all that matters to sega!
What bothers me is the boss and monsters can practically 1 hit kill me. I shouldn't have to upgrade nothing

Lol xbox? Sweaty idiots who don't play epg games yeah makes sense lmao
"I feel like the release of ToF on PlayStation definitely has hurt New Genesis."
Actually not that much PSO2NGS for the PS4 and PS5 only managed to reach the top 10 most downloaded free to play games for the month it released.

Heya Kayde!!
Hello, who might this be?
I never liked NG and am still kinda bitter at the effect both it and the western release had on the playerbase
Stop playing the game if you feel like a victim or you need to end your own life. Step away for good. It's not that serious.
Naw they not gonna kill the game it makes them money honestly i think they know ff14 dawn trail is around the corner they might be more worried about that honestly
nip 0iq whales are still keeping game alive as long as they are still playing they won't shut off this garbage game
No offense but you're going to encounter a lot of dumb high school drama in every game this isnt anything new Still if the game aint it for you then yea you should move on but saying it needs to die already when theres ppl that enjoy the game is a no lol
For me, i knew what i signed up for Because this is the same crap they pulled with JP base pso2 on the updates (which i understand it doesnt fly in this day/age) and ppl talked crap about that back then as well. I play both base game and ngs to keep me busy with it so i get plenty out of it and the game has always been grindy.
Im mostly just waiting til the game really hits its endgame for ngs (final version/episode/update) and see how it ends. I do agree with your legit criticism especially that you want the game to be good but there are some things i disagree in your vid.
pso2 i played over 12000 hours (2000-3000hrs fun at chatting in lobby) at JP and NA and i loved it so much but ngs doo the most things wrong,
the game gets only more and more boring its nothing too do get new story for less then 1hour all 2-6months....
its useless to play it more and more... its only more goldcow and recolored and remake old trash again and again,
i play some indie games made from 1-5 guys and the games get more content and faster content then sega! its a point i think sega doing anything really wrong xD
give players a new update for grind over 1500hours and get not what the gamers want sorry but the game is trash i grind for all weapons over 4500hours and never get one of it so how can i say its trash?
play a game and make no progress is useless :D
the game gives me from update to update more things too hate the game the last 25 years i never hate a game so much as ngs bcz. sega thinks goldcow is better then make a good game or all others, at other moos i was all time only in 1 or max. 2 guilds over years at ngs i have all 1-4weeks a new alliance and its only boring too play a mmo solo :D
Its so Joever bros......
@@hermityt1 dead game is a dead game a game that nobody play, it is not that hard to determine dead game, and no you may not get new PA but there is alternative to current PA don't take us a a fool, next month will be release of new IQ last month is release of dark fall solus wtf you on about game not receiving new update.
Just because the update not your liking you throw tantrum like a baby? Grow up ...
@@hermityt1 wanna bet it won't be dead next year? Countless times people like you has been proved wrong content eventually will get boring any content that is and what's your point about collaboration? The game use that since the base game, this game is made to cater Japanese audience they want anime the game get anime, you is not the target audience btw.
Please have fun moving on to other games like trashy predatory diablo or whatever you like, the game despite everything still give you freebies the monetization still fair like what??
Prove me I am wrong?
@@gkagara I don't need to bet anything because the game is already dead in the context I already put forward. Will the game grow from here? no. So from that point of view, the game is already dead. Like I said, there are multiple ways people describe a dead game.
I mean there are a lot of console players and also players from epic games that you didnt seem to count in your data just a reminder btw.
this is concurrent players as well, so 2,000 concurrent players on steam alone is honestly not that bad when you consider that many people only play for like an hour at a time. but then you factor like 5 different consoles into it as well as epic and xbox, and it seems like there's still a pretty healthy amount of players here.
i think that these people complaining they can't find games and stuff might not be on very popular ships, like 3 or 4. i can always find games and i play in the middle of the night because i'm awake at odd hours. ship 2.
Listen if ur not liking pso2 you dont have to be here. If the game aint for u go find another community.
They act like male cast players dont exist so they cant even whale for fashion
Not everyone is toxic but definitely encountered them.....hey man do u need a hug? I got u 👍
Don’t conveniently forget about Red, Lucifer.
@@medranodiego8641 to be fair he is in ship 4 and ship 4 is that kind of ship it have community manager and own discord or so I heard and going against this body means getting marginalized.
Probably not something other ship has to experience but seriously ship 4 is hit or miss if you able to conform then you will be okay if not everything will get harder.
From his rant this is what I am getting though... He probably run into trouble and then either let it fester or simply doesn't know how to handle it and it out him in difficult position.
Red had a completely different thing going on, which I'm not in liberty to talk about, you can ask him yourself if you want more details, whatever happened to him had absolutely nothing to do with the game itself, so don't mix things up conveniently @@KaydeTheFang
I think Im in love with you. Some of your takes may not be the best but damn but wow you are great like seriously. Tbh Im kinda interested to know what happened with your alliance and all of the stuff you went through with people and wouldnt even be against hopping in a discord call and talking it out cause man I bet you have some stories to tell. That shit seems more interesting than the entirety of NGS's lore lol but it also seems like it was quite the draining experience so I wouldnt expect you to want to talk about it much more than you already did which is understandable.
Man shot his shot 😮💨
quit kissing is ass
NGS wasn't even better than base pso2 at release and it still isn't today, NGS did what defiance 2050 did were a lot of changes were made that negatively impacted the game that no one asked for and instead of trying to resolve the problems with the game they got rid of the original to make the sequel look less trashy
I thought the same but with the release of the new iPhone specs, re4 remake, it seems that this game will do better as a mobil game. I stopped giving them money and many have. that's why the shop has ridiculously priced "phasion." My 10 year old daughter still enjoys it and calls it space barbie.
Fashion LuL As long as there is fashion they will keep going LuL
Beefing in a non open world PVP game is goofy lol.
idk about you guys, but i don't consider a game with 2,000 concurrent players a dead game. if i can still queue into leciel or a UQ at 4AM on a wednesday, i'm pretty sure the game is alive enough for me to enjoy it with others.
i know of plenty of ACTUALLY dead games, games that you can't play anymore, games that are complete ghost towns that only exist to try and scrape money from the most dedicated players, games that are on literal life support by 1 dev who updates the shop rotation every week.
I've only done so because I've had nothing in common with the community there, as well as the staff in that game being comprised of a bunch of drunken frat boy misogynists, but it is mostly the toxic politics.
Any game where politics is a bannable offence attracted me because it was a true form of escapism.
Dead or not, still going to continue to play, until the servers permanently shut down, my Xbox Series X controller will not be sent to a landfill until then. I apologize for your unfortunate experience on ship 4.

Hotel = Trivago
Dead? Lmao
Log in doing dailies not rewarding??? 😂 you were trying to tell people not to log in . I get my rewards for free only took me 15 mins everyday
Watch till u say about otger toxic players seems you project your bad experience to everyone when the problem is yourself
its true the game has lack of content for creators , but creators and toxic players what's killing the game. more so then Sega themselves...
click bathing for rage veiws and personal rants..smh
I do agree with one thing, if your not having fun then just play something else till perhaps the devs start bringing more to it.. or mix it up and play other games.. maybe log in during scratch day or large updates wen servers peek to say hi to old friends you don't talk to in discord.. if you still like some of the social aspect of the game
your outlook is so negative it kinda crazy "slave labor" you totally need to quit anything in your life that would make you feel like that :/
pushing your negative perspective on people is one thing, but telling new players and people who are still enjoying it to quit still is wrong
you mine as well stand in beginners block protesting the game "this game sucks the people suck dont play the game!"
that mentality is what's going to drive good people away from the game b4 they play through it them selfs or people who need a break not return to it when things do get better
like you said pso is filled with shut in otakus, of corse there's going to be sad people
there was depressed people in the game wen pso2 global had high population....
its called moderation, anyone living inside a video game is going to be depressed not matter the content, also bullying is a banable offense, why not record and report players?
trust me I'm not belittling depressions its a serious matter, but blaming pso for it is misplaced anger, them talking to bad people and using a video games community as there main social outlet is just a small part of a bigger issue for them
people are crule online its not isolated to ngs, they would get the same treatment in most social media and chat rooms
is ngs community the best? as a whole during low pop no..but there's games with worse comunities
but there are some groups of really good people around you can come across that still play and enjoy the game
people that understand we`re all here to have a good time
~ship 3 Best ship~
im not saying you don't have a right to be upset ether.. I have friends who need to rant and leave too, I even believe 100% the game can be better and I'm currently on a pso break
but using your platform to hammer fist a game.. wen your just burnt out of it and got caught in dumb drama isn't helping anyone
your not helping people who struggle with depression by making this
those people need a professional not another video game or media outlet
good family or friends who care and will listen is also important
Agreed
Problem is not the game just touch some grass and come back later, get a job, find purpose.
Director from ep4-5 same person in jp
i got into PSO many years ago or the phantasy star series rather,
i was very excited with PSO2 NGS and they just cared about the gambling rather than allowing me to have something meaningful to do with friends.
the mission system wasnt fun or intuitive
the crafting was fun or intuitive
the fashion was cool, but then the only people who would talk are a bunch of socially autistic anime horn dogs and drama addicted basement dwellers.
i was invited to an alliance guild or whatever and it was endless bickering and gossip.
i made it to endgame and played only a few months ago, but no more. i just wish i could experience phantasy star universe for the first time again.
rest in peace ship 4, some of yall were okay.
