jam-packed with stuff to learn. perfect pace, incredible attention to detail. loved it mate. however, if i had a penny for every time u said 'sci-fi detail', id have a billion dollars now.
Your procedural materials and baking textures tutorials are a life saver, especially for someone who hates texturing from a bottom of his heart! I just make and bake them and then draw the details over the textures separately...
@@RyanKingArt no problem at all. I'm really excited to make my own rover and follow along. I use blender professionally but I've never needed to bake a texture ( I just make geometry) but I'm looking forward to adding that tool to my belt
I really enjoyed this video. I like how you don't overcomplicate things. I often overthink things when simplicity is usually the best and fastest option.
@@StyxVisuals I might be able to give you some feedback. did you post it online somewhere? youtube usually will hide a comment if it has a link in it, but if you posted it somewhere online, I could look it up.

Hi Ryan, thanks for your all your videos, some are very interesting other interesting and very difficult... The hard part for us is learning the different ways to do the same thing... I see one video and when I seat and challenge my blender I found out that I don't get much further after starting... and that's because I don't know how to do the next move...😕
Keep on practicing and you will improve your skills!! I've been using Blender consistently for 6 years, so it does take a lot of time and practice. Also, I definitely recommend doing step by step tutorials, like the ones I have on my channel, I think they are very helpful for beginners. Also learning the fundamentals of 3d, like lighting, UV editing, modeling, materials, compositing, ect, are very useful as well. I have a lot of beginner fundamental tutorials on my channel as well.
@@RyanKingArt Yes, thank you... The important thing to do is practice a lot... Please continue what you're doing because it is a pretty good job... 😎👍🏻
I only worked on it in little bits here and there, and so I think it maybe took about 3 weeks. If It was the only project I was working on at the time, I could have completed it much faster though.
Very helpful and informative. I have a doubt, in sketchfab how can you add the glass material, is it an opacity mask baked in blender or is there glass material in sketchfab?
man I can't learn jack sh1T about procedural materials no matter how hard I try ,could you make a substance painter tutorial or quixel-mixer tutorial cuz that would be great.

Very helpful and informative. I have a doubt, in sketchfab how can you add the glass material, is it an opacity mask baked in blender or is there glass material in sketchfab?
Sketchfab basically has a glass shader that you can add to the object. and then I also added a texture to it to make the glass look dirty.
@@RyanKingArt Thank you for your reply. I haven't checked sketchfab that's why I just clarified.
So to be clear, that sky addon also comes with presets? Like with that mars sky preset?
Yes, it does. You can check out my full addon review video with the link in the description to learn more.
👍👍👍
Thanks!
wowo that is amazing nwn
thank you!
One question, at the start, instead of inset and delete de faces, could you use wireframe modifier
yes I suppose you could, but I wanted the sides around the windows to be flat.
👍
thank you very much

Blender is the only 3d program I use. sorry.
What the shortcut to make them vertices made their own object?
select the parts of the mesh that you want to separate into its own object in edit mode, and them press *P* then click on, by selection.
please make a tutorial on jet engine flame
thanks for the tutorial idea.
How did you do the extrusion with the cube and make it look like that? at 4:00 .
Oh that was because I had the bevel modifier on the cube, and the bevel amount was too high.
How did you made that fog? I've seen tutorial for that fog from Ducky 3D, but I want to know how you did that.
I cover that in this video.
I go over that at: 21:20
@@RyanKingArt Oh, thank you. I skipped material part, because I thought that fog should be in environment part.
