This is the badass jank I'm here for 😂 I love anything to do with Reanimator, Dredge or Golgari. Especially when Squirrels are involved! Well done bro!
I mean, it's a somewhat known quantity already but it's nice to see it perform on the bigger stages. Seems oddly convenient though that the two times I've shown it on the channel I'm combined 13-1 🤔
This is probably my favorite deck in Pauper right now! I love the vote of confidence bringing it to a challenge. Thanks for recording it so we can watch!
I had played 3 leagues with it and went 5-0, 3-2, 3-2. So it felt decent in the current meta to give it a shot. Plus others were also getting trophies with it every so often. Was expecting a 3-3, but way surpassed my expectations.
Yeah. Congratulations are definitely in order! I may have to buy the cards for it and start jamming some leagues on MTGO once I get the hang of the controls.
There are new cards from murders at karlov manor, tha are absolute upgrades for this deck. Rubblebelt Maverick and Snarling Gorehound. I tested it a little and the Gorehound surveil works great with all our little creatures, and the Acorn Harvests become surveil 2-s. Might consider trying it out, I think these cards will give a big boost for the deck.
So what cards would you replace? Doubt you’ll end up with more cards in graveyard after curving out till turn 4 with these new cards i/o existing shell
Hey @@Kirblinxy, I am sorry to comment about that, but you did mention another channel played the U Tron list, but I can't see it. Maybe it's still not uploaded, but if you know it, can you throw the name ? 😅
@v01dv01d If you search through the comments of the Red Tron video there is a person who said they were the pilot and commissioned it to someone else. Maybe give them a ping because I also have not seen the deck anywhere as of yet.
K, so in the turbofog match, I did have the growth spiral to put the bog down after milling you - which was my plan, my punt was that I cast stream and completely blanked that I didn't have a fog in my hand, so I had to play lorien to find one and then I didn't have enough mana to cast everything lol Also rewatching, I died to exact lethal after missing a bunch of desert shots on the squirrels, so I def deserved that loss x_x Congrats on the run!
Thanks! Nice to hear what happened from the other side I was so confused. You didn't really need a fog though because you had enough life and I assume you mill me out next turn. You had your challenge win a couple of weeks ago. Nice of you to let me have this one 😉
Congrats for the win. I love the deck, except for its main card and win condition: the giant. Can’t explain why, maybe it just feels weird to rely almost just on that card and on reanimating it over & over again. So, what variant of the deck would you make without him, if that’s even possible? The only cards I can think of are Crusher and Striped Riverwinder as targets, but I don’t think it would work or even worth the effort (3 for 1).
You would need something with a decent etb to replace the Troll. The reason it works is because you put all this effort into reanimating just for the effect. There is so much removal around these days that just having a big dorky creature isn't enough to win. Like Crusher + Dragon's Breath is probably the closest thing because it at least gives value because you should hopefully get 1 attack off before it dies.
Because if they block with the sacred cat then I don't have enough creatures and would have to flashback the Acorn Harvest playing into the Spell Pierce again.
@Kirblinxy yup, those were my thoughts aswell. I mean, you force them to have it as their last card, but u still win if you play conservately. thanks for the video, thoughts and reply!
Do you have any thoughts on Circle of the Land Druid in this style deck? It's been fascinating to watch this deck over time! Definitely building a copy for myself. Thanks for showing the matches! Excellent content 😎
So I've only played 3 leagues with this deck and this challenge. I have tried Circle of the Land Druid in one of those leagues instead of Mire Triton. It was... Okay. There were several instances where they killed my druid in response to the etb, which was a real feel bad. The extra power, life and deathtouch of Triton was much better. Could maybe replace the Prowler, but I just like trying to hit lands early which the Prowler helps and the Druid does not. Druid is probably better lategame. Need more testing on that front.
@@Kirblinxy Mire Triton feels like a keeper. That deathtouch does a lot of defensive work. I agree with the Wayfinder thoughts, if there was another "mulch" creature it'd slot in nicely. Druid doesn't quite do that tho.
That is indeed an option. But because they were already beating me down with a Cat I think just playing the Stinky's is the correct play, because skipping a turn just to dredge 5 doesn't advance the board state and just gets me further behind IMO.
I believe I mention at the end that I don't think they will be worth it. I don't know what to replace it with as I feel everything else in the deck does what it does but better, sure costing one mana is good, but I don't think it is comparable when you can pay one more and get a land out of the deal.
Do u wanna try Maverick from MKM? i think its better than Breechwood. U can mill 6 at turn 2, give u some card selection and u can choose the +1/+1 target
There have been some people testing it and it seems okay. I'm not entirely convinced at this point currently as it just doesn't feel as impactful as everything else in the deck currently.
What about playing a one of BW dual for the possible hardcast Ray of Revelation? Seems not too impactful on the manabase speed (especially if you cut 2 taplands as you suggest at the end of the video). If you cut a Rotten Reunion in the sb it is also possiboe to play the land in its place (even if it sounds a bit of a "wasted" spot).
The only problem is that only half your land cyclers will get that dual, and trimming up in the tap lands seems counter intuitive if we just add another back in. I don't think you need to be able to cast them from your hand.
@@Kirblinxy in reality I wanted to suggest to run both BW and WG, but it seemed to me a bit too impactful then. Probably it is just right to see them as a disenchant castable only from graveyard

Incredible run!
Hey thanks! Nice to see you are still around!
I finally finished the video, it was worth every second, thank you for making it
Really cool to see, thanks for sharing this Challenge run
Well done! What a great showing!
This list looks sleek, excited for the games!
List was very well tuned already. Hard to make changes to fit those Exhume in.
Heeyy, boas partidas. Mandou super bem, parabéns pelo resultado.
Congrats for the results and thanks for sharing the journey!
Thanks for the video ;)
I'm so glad I stumbled onto this channel. Love the video and can't wait to dive into more!
Glad to have you! Just want to ask you did stumble here? Trying to figure out if it is just UA-cam algorithm or word of mouth that gets views.
@@Kirblinxy I think it was suggested after I finished Andrea Menguccis most recent pauper video.
This is currently my favorite Pauper channel. Thank you for not playing Turbo Fog.
Bryant Cook's channel is dog poop and now kalikaiz is trying to be just like him.
Congrats champ!
I got this deck a while ago and got immediately got by maindeck relics :D congrats
That just be how it goes sometimes. Just need to keep in your back pocket until the gy hate goes away.
I just did a 2x3 with this deck 😅

FOUR HOURS ! 🤯
You expect us to watch four hours of your intense gameplay ?
...You know I will, right ? 😏
I’m not even gonna 2x speed this one, gotta work the algorithm lol
Watching for the 3rd time now. ;)
This isn't even my longest video, which surprised me as well. Definitely has the most matches in it though.

As the player who pioneered 4 gnaw in the Pauper Gatherling tournament, 4 gnaw was a meta call for specifically the kuldotha red metagame.
4 gnaw main specifically
Which was fair, and we are still somewhat in that meta currently, which is why I only shaved 1.
I wonder if you played more aggressive as in reanimated creatures sooner to start the beats would it have been just as successful?
Congrats for the win.

playing around spellpierce at 38:10 ? as in, why not attack with double scrapwork and mire before flashbacking giant

Being on the draw in Match 1 Game 2 you could just draw and move to discard, pitching an Imp. Just my two cents :-)
