Oh shoot. I have seen your winnings on top decked when I look at lists all the time. UA-cam finally recommended a video of yours. Likes and comments for you
I don't get top results too often. But you should nearly always see my name hanging around the top 32 of every Saturday challenge. Nice to see the UA-cam algorithm doing it's job 👍
What do you think about Faerie Macabre as gy hate in the sideboard? It seems the most effective answer to Ghostly Flicker/Ephemerate loops that seem to be very hard to beat otherwise with Fog. All other gy hate spells are easily counterable and if they don't get the loops going I think Turbo Fog has the upper hand.
This is the best option and the one that RitualSinkhole uses. I just haven't played against any deck that needed GY hate for a while so I shifted to more hate towards glitters.
You know...I've been playing Arcane Denial in my Commander deck for something like 6 months and it never once occurred to me to counter my own stuff for the card draw!
I feel like that is the mode you use 80% of the time in this deck. It always feels not great when you counter an opponents spell, but countering your own weather the storm? That's value!
@@Kirblinxy My deck isn't set up for countering my own spells like your pauper deck here...but just knowing this is a thing with Arcane Denial is awesome to keep in the back of my mind. It's just another option to consider! Who knows if it'd have ever occurred to me if I hadn't watched this video!
The deck cannot beat Crusher, but barely anyone plays it. The only way to beat it is to counter it. You could change the red splash to black and run some Cast Down if it appears a lot in your meta.
Yeah, playing this league at 5am with no sleep feels like a normal 9 to 17 workday. Just a question: why in match 1 against affinity glitters you decide to take out the breath weapon for bringing murmuring mystics in? those 1/5 are control/midrange nightmares but too slow for aggro decks, since breath weapon is just the opposite. Hey! don't get me wrong, they carry you that match, but i don't understand the thought process
So glitters is interesting because while it does have a pile of x/2's they don't really do that much damage (unless they hit a lot of frogmites early). The main damage dealers are Enforcer and Glitters, and Breath Weapon doesn't deal with those. So the logic is that Weather can deal with all the small beats, fog deals with the big ones. Once you hit a Mystic all your draw spells convert to pseudo fogs because the birds block any of these big hitters (except for gingerbrute obviously). It can help turn the more concerning board states in your favour than breath weapon, which is what happened in the video.
@shyumby I actually think of it more as a card draw spell in this deck. Was always funny on my first video that people said that they never thought to do that.
You are right, I have tested this deck a lot and playing accumulated knowledge instead. There is the possibility of facing a deck with that same card, and provides both players with more steal. Your opponent drawing excessively should not be a problem for turbo fog, since it helps in a certain way to eliminate cards from the opponent's deck. The difference between the two cards is small but exists.
Whenever I used to run AK and played the mirror I always seemed to be the one who was worse off with it. So while yes, it is probably better in some instances of the mirror I don't want any part of it 😅
The meta is so much better without the abhorrent Spellstutter. Bridges should have also been banned a long time ago. The Pauper Panel is totally useless leaving the meta at ridiculously high power level now, while they hose the only competitive aggro deck remaining. Anyway, great job reviving Turbo Fog!
Turbo Fog league - video length over three hours - checks out
53:49 Men without hats moment. "We can fog if we want to. We can leave your friends behind."
Turbo fog!!! YEAAAAHHHH ! Well done mate! Keep them coming :)
Excited to see more fog :)

@@Kirblinxy you rock. I am trying to get my friends to spam your channel with w00ts and whatnot
@benlittle5543 I wouldn't worry too much about the commenting. Sharing by word of mouth is nice though.
Best magic Christmas present! Let's goo turbo fog
finally finished it. really good showing.
2 easy matchups, 2 Sideboard based matchups and 1 bad matchup. A good spread to showcase.
has made me want to upgrade my own paper turbo fog deck.@@Kirblinxy
one of my favorite things about turbo fog is that even when i speed up the gameplay it goes just as fast as most other gameplay. 😂
As long as I am ahead on time than the opponent that is all that matters.

came here to say that. FM gets overlooked these days

how does this deck beat the mono g tron, or any deck with a fast ulamog's crusher?

Play vs turbo fog = zzzzz
Why would anyone play this kind of deck, just play solitaire instead...
