Any advice on a 520 petrol good or bad buy
How much was the Range Rover?
🤦🏻♂️I work & live in a small island of Zanzibar.. I speak English well, bro I don't understand most of the words you say🤣 you're simply streetwise rapping 🤣.
Quick tip from my experience: cars between 90-120k usually people offload because there are major bills coming. After 120k these bills have usually been taken care of, so check the service history such as major overhauls and belts/alternators/engine work/suspension. Major bits. Otherwise I’ve driven plenty of cars with 150k+ miles and drive perfect.
I’ve cleaned my car so nicely before I was just about to sell it ,I thought fuck this is actually a really nice car , I kept it 😂
jag251080 😂
i love buying them, i hate selling them... that's why i'm poor
🤣 iv had that feeling before
What I love about Calvin is he keeps himself to himself and doesn’t get involved with peoples car reviews and other crap , just him and his own journey 👍🏻
1st time I've seen this guys reviews, what a top bloke, he's entertaining without knowing, funny when his mind drifts. Strong honest review. Deserves his success. Thanks
Calvin, I am the same about dirty steering wheels. I'm also in the trade and on a leather one wash it with upholstery cleaner or fairy liquid and a rough sponge, dry with a towel. Then the secret is to (once it's clean) wipe it with thinners and it comes back to being soft and matte like when the car was new.
Any thinner in particular? This is a good tip!
are you talking about paint thinners on leather steering wheels?
Pretty sure thats what it is, i get it from my valeting supplies guy. Works on seats too, don't go mad or the pigment will come out, just a quick wipe will drag the last dirt out. Shiny steering wheel = dirty steering wheel, also if it's worn out don't do it, only do this to good leather.
@@specialboye4910 I don't know, think i'll stick to leather cleaner and conditioner.. thinners have a bad smell and may eat the leather
125K with Diesel is like 25 miles of the non-diesel versions of Range Rover with 1/3rd the car cost (2x the mpg and Diesel is good 60 or cents less per gallon than premium gas)
So good to see someone who has so much passion and interest in their trade. 👍👍 Keep on growing Calvin the world is your oyster! 🔥
Millage doesn't put me off I'd rather buy something with higher miles knowing that most of the major expensive parts have been changed along with a good history nothing bad about it...
Just stumbled across your channel today and this is the first video I’ve watched. I like it! Will binge on the rest of the videos, lol. BTW what is that jacket you got on???
You referenced is as a vougue. Its 2 models higher than that. The Autobiography is the top dog. Vougue is just a trim level. I believe it it goes vougue, vougue se then Autobiography
The UA-cam channel you were gonna say was Archie Hamilton racing
Roneet Karara 😂😂 ikr
Or LLF that guys a bore
@@om96 how
Calvin: " this cars done 2 billion miles"...
Me: is that high mileage?
Calvin: "No in my opinion, 2 billion it aint too bad"
lol
lol
That video with the p38 Range Rover with no suspension cracks me every time 👌🏼😂 another good video mate 👍🏼👍🏼
100,000 miles, I'm usually just getting started!
next one should be a svr brother they sound amazing
My 2006 BMW 330i SE Touring, 172K and the most comfortable car ever! Tyres and oil changes! Never let me down!
My t5 is on 185k. High mileage vehicles dont bother me if they've been looked after.
AJH they last for ever , seen one of them with 300k plus miles
I have a d5 with less miles than this range rover. My s40 sport lux Renault f9q 300k.
My Dream Car, I will never have one but riding along with you was as close as I will get. Even on the vid you could feel the luxury and I loved it. Cheers Calvin that was great.😊😊
Just discovered this channel (UA-cam algorithms reading my mind again) love Calvin's banter, subbed!!
Calvin ur Chanel is such a great watch, honest chit chat about shit us fellas enjoy chatting about... keep up the hard work fella
Those Range Rover Vouges have a issue with their paint peeling,I was working on one ane the Letters "Range Rover" were completly peeled of,the owner wanted to paint them in a Silver color and came out great,I think you shoud do the same.Nice video Calvin, keep it up Bro!👍
Higher Mileage on a car isn’t as off putting as a low mileage car that’s been owned by the wrong sort of owner! I’d rather have a higher mileage car in the spec i want than a low miler in poverty spec
I had a 225 Audi TT with 264 thousand miles on it, had it 3 years, used it every day as a commuter, with zero issues! superb car, sold it a year ago (for the same i paid for it) to a friend and it’s still going strong, recently sailed through an mot with only the rear brakes needing doing
I'd rather have low mileage anyday
@@arthuritchybollix5064 here's a dilema for you: low urban miles or high motorway miles ? I can tell you that miles are not all equal.
@@MrAdrianGrigore don't suppose you would really know which miles they were it had done
@@arthuritchybollix5064 you can tell, but you need more in-depth time with the car. Stone chips, steering and shifter wear, seat bolsters, seatbelt retractors, intake gunk on diesels, surface rust, etc. I've seen cars at 200k miles in better shape than some 80k city dwellers. It takes an eye to spot a good one. High mileage doesn't put me off. I never buy "one careful lady owner" cars, they are usually junk by 100k
@@MrAdrianGrigore Exactly true. My mother used to own an E46 318i, which was supposed to be one of BMW's most reliable cars. Bought it at 54,000 miles (London miles though), a two owner car, and within a week came an engine warning light. Then later the lifters (presumably) started ticking, though no mechanic could figure it out. Eventually the lifters wore out and the noise stopped. The car had a slight misfire and was supposedly running lean, but after 4 years of it running like that the cat got blocked up and eventually the car got slower and slower until it couldn't travel more than 40/50mph. Car ended up being broken for parts after 5ish years of ownership at 80,000 miles or thereabout.
Fun times, then she bought an E90 320d, and despite it having 140,000 miles when she bought it, it's made it to 217,000 miles with no more than a door lock actuator and an ABS sensor being replaced (no more than £100 of work in total). The car's first 100,000 miles had been exclusively motorway miles in the first three years of it's life when it was a lease car, presumably being impeccably maintained. Nowadays we know a proper mechanic, though honestly we haven't ever had to even go to him. Car has had no advisories for the past seven years baring a recent MOT where the garage didn't service the car properly.
Baby wipes dont do much, you need antibacterial wipes
Magic erasers & G101 cleans really well too.
Lol my thoughts exactly.
High mileage?? Hardly driven mate 😅. Keep the gem videos coming Calvin!!
Hate to say but love the look of range rovers and still look alot better than the other 4x4 out there... 2013 model still looks fresh and has presence
Another wicked video Calvin. The reason The bonnet catches on the passenger side is because of safety not opening the bonnet roadside.👍
dusty engine bay is a good sign. always concerned when i see a washed engine.
why?
jordan people try to hide leaks and other problems like that when they clean the engine bay (not always though)
Lol tf
Anyone else notice how the front plate wasn’t on straight or is that just me
Great show! Thank you.You are a natural salesman. Your enthusiasm is infectious, more please.
Tyres..... I'm probably a bit strange, but I always look at tyres when buying a car. Noticed the Range Rover is on Pirelli's and that makes me happy.
When you see a car on budget tyres (Landsails, Ling Longs, Rapids) it just says to me the previous owner ran it on the cheap.
Bonnet catch is on the left side so if you brake down your not hanging under the foot well with the door wide open in the carriageway
We've got company cars that have 250,000 plus miles on them, they've been regular serviced and looked after. The garage owner where we take them always says how good nick they are. High miles ain't a problem if it's been serviced regularly
Would you think a 1.6 TDI Passat with 162k is high miles? Looking at one but dunno what’s taking the piss on smaller Diesel engines
@@nathadarnell bit of service history and you've got no problem, them cars are bullet proof and will go forever
Take your point with the 1 owner being a selling point, always nice to have a low owner vehicle.
I used to work at a Nissan main dealer and the amount of 1 owner cars we used to buy where the first owner was a Mr. ERAC was mad hahaha
Good point.
It's just called "Range Rover" mate.
Vogue never was a model, it was a specification.
S C l2 E A M _ loads of people call them vogues. No idea why! Can’t think of another car where they confuse trim level with a model.
@@MKRM27 i was just thinking that.
make a video that u buy a car like that for example and bring it to perfect condition by good cleaning , detailing and maintainance
Much rather buy a +100k mile car that’s been cherished n looked after its whole life than a 50k car that’s had no care or maintenance it’s whole life... mileage is just a number. Keep smashing it calv!
Another nice video, Great camera shots and your very engaging when driving and talking, its like I am sitting in the passenger seat , Liked the comment about baby wipes and paint brush, Maybe you should bring out your own car cleaning brand/kit ? Keep it up , well done !
love your 'thinking out loud 'style of talking mate.
Depends how well its been serviced and if the gearbox is good
Another great video, funny, too, lovely cars to look at and waft about in, but I’m watching loads of 4x4 Action (Australian) videos at the moment and they don’t look past LandCruisers, just as capable off road, but with bullet proof reliability. Get one of these Calvin, please, I think you might not make enough coin off them, though. Keep up the good work, I really look forward to your videos.
Good to see honest car trader facts you need to buy low to achieve profit but the way you put it out there is cool honest always pays off 💯👍🏻🇬🇧
My brother has a 2002 325i BMW with 139 thousand miles on the clock ⏰ and just passed its MOT drives like a dream
I'm same with the hands m8, I touch anything I have to clean my hands . OCD it's not a bad thing
I own a 2020 Land Rover diesel. Just turned 104K miles. Beautiful well kept SUV and runs like no tomorrow! Bought it new and purchased an 144K bumper to bumper extra warranty for 3000.00. Best investment ever! It covered exhaust replacement, $8K. It covered stabilizer replacement, 3K. It covered oil leak between engine and transmission, 5K. All for only the $200 deductible. At 144k mileage, I'll dump it!
I’ve got an Astra Vxr on 160,000 with full service history and a diesel 1.3 corsa d on 153,00 with full service history, they have both been bulletproof
Calvin's " I bought a high mileage" Car Diary
I do the baby wipe thing too after watching that top gear episode with the old 3 series bmws when they found pretty much everything from snot to coke in the interiors!
Bonnet latch is on left side because if ur parked at the side of a busy road your safely away from the right side of the road where traffic is passing
My merc had 7 previous owners, had it 9 months and had to put some wipers on it.i thought it might of been a bit of a hot potato but it don’t miss a beat.
It’s simply known as a Range Rover, only the smaller ones have add ons like “Sport”, or “Velar”.
My SDV8 is nearly 2 years and 5 months old and is just short of 79,000 miles already, my the time it’s 7 years old it should have around 235,000 miles on it. As long as the next owner keeps investing in sensible maintenance, 125,000 miles should be completely irrelevant.
Calv your forgetting its a diesel v8 lol yes diesel mileage is irrelevant if looked after 125k on a diesel v8 is nothing 🤷♂️
Yeah, but the Pre 2015 range rover V8 diesel is know from issues
I had an old 3.6 Vogue. 275k 😂
My two mates has them 2016 and 2015 65000 and 76000 they have spent a fortune on them they are scrap when they go 3 to 5 years old
125k generally is nothing. However with a Land Rover product OMG!! I’m surprised it hasn’t fallen apart. The fact it starts is a bonus😂..
@@richardsmart120 really? A farmer got almost 540000 miles out of his old disco, and all he did was regular maintenance such as replacing oil and filters
I feel you on that one calvin nothing worse than a dirty steering wheel don't know who's touched it or where there hands have been its like getting on a bus n touching the railings germs galor nothing worse. Keep doing what your doing man got the upmost respect for you iv learnt alot from you.
Fair play to this Calvin geezer hes living his dream. Much respect would love to start my own car sales business any tips mate
I’m more scared to see low milage car with a good price than a high mileage car with good price!
Sa yan ye I went to go see a 6 series, good price with like 70k miles. Turns out it was imported from Ireland. Called the Ireland hpi guys they informed me the mileage was higher 2 years ago than the day I called. BastRd clocked it
Daniel Bentley
Till this day people still setback mileage on cars? That’s so messed up
Aiden Pichardo yea man, actually happens to hire cars also to avoid excess mileage penalties
I had one of these V8 Range Rover Autobiographies from new. It did 46,000 miles hassle free miles. Regret letting it go to be honest, but it was my first modern Land Rover and I was concerned about running it out of warranty. I'd definitely have another one, but not new as the depreciation was horrendous.
Autoglym leather cleaner is what you need 100000% better than baby wipes will restore matte factory finish on the wheel only £8 from Halfords
My BMW e90 has 193000 and still drives lovely high miles doesn’t bother me as long as it’s kept up together
My e92 decides to want new injectors every bloody 7 months
I’ve had two e class Merc’s that both did over 200,000, that’s high mileage. Looks great inside. Great vid
Not for a mercedes. My passat b6 tdi is on 240+..a'd say into the high 300s start of 400 is high not 200.
Superb Video.
revisiting this vid ...and it's bringing smiles. I'm old enough to remember Ford, Vauxhall and ...brace yourselves BL cars having one hundred thousand mile clap'o'meters in them.
Most people forget a 60,000 miler is often on it’s first set of components. They could be 6 years old and have 60k on them. A good full history 120,000 miler will often have new components. Perhaps one year old and 5k on them.
Just as a broad example that mileage isn’t everything...
Yesss Calvin. When you have I motor which has done a few miles. You can say and you probably know this. When a car has or reached 80.000 mile this is when they need money spending on them I know this and it's a fact. But you're range rover he's gone past that so all work has been done and all good for another 100.000... good luck mate.
Great video Calvin another great honest review with plenty of information......
It will empty your bank account in no time these things.
Why ? Own experience?
@@MattUKLTD Common knowlwdge on Range Rovers and my neighbour had one for his gardening company. So i saw all that went wrong and it was an awful lot. He finally bought a V-8 Toyoya Land Cruiser.
Glad im not the only one that has wipes in the car to clean the interior. I would feel much happier buying a high mileage car that's had one owner from new than a low mileage car that's had lots of owners. The latter always rings alarm bells for me
Been with your channel since dayyy keeps growing keep it up bro
My freelander1 td4 has 180k on the clock and runs sweet but i'll agree why are people obsessed with low mileage motors,if they've been looked after they'll keep on going.
That’s just called a Range Rover. Vogue is a spec level like Autobiography etc
Wrong the uk big version is called vogue. In the states they are exactly the same
Dust dirt mud are not the problem the only thinks that affects the car is the exterior damage
They way I look at it is. If it’s done over 100k it’s very drivable and it’s most probably reliable . When I had my 2008 cl 500 had low Miles and I had nothing but problems.
Saw you on the A4146 today, car is looking class 👌
another gem of a vid Calvin! that's a pretty sweet car! Ill still swop you for my vw passat!! ;-) keep em coming !!
The dirty steering wheel thing isn't a fear Calvin, it's your common sense telling you that it could be covered with all sorts!
Especially given everything that's going on at the moment.
Take care.
Vogue is the entry level trim for Range Rover, then you have Autobiography and Autobiography SV.
Not really a fan of Range rovers but that looks like a nice motor mate
Be interested to see the video of it being cleaned/polished etc. Love the vids keep it up 👍🏼
To be honest milage is just a number for me, I usually look at the owners, the service history and any extra maintenance, and condition that what matters, yeh milage is a factor of selling and buying cars, but that's what people think because If a car that is good reliable brand it moslt likely it would last long, such as a toyota car those last no matter but has petrol or diesel engines, even the Tdi pd engines are good I've seen few audis and VWs with over 200k miles.
3:08 ripped driver's seat. On the list of things that would drive me mad on a daily basis..5/6 couldn't get over that. I'm out!😂
I thought I was the only one with a fear of dirty steering wheels lol.
Leather roof for when he smokes his cigarettes they don’t stick 🤣🤣
But mate baby wipes are not antibacterial. I too carry a paintbrush in my car but dettol antibacterial wipes and a small spray travel spray bottle filled with iso
Calvin, loving the channel, and videos, I got a chrysler 300c SRT design, got diamond cut alloys, can you recommend any refurbish company to do my alloys for corossion damage? At a good price, nice one!
well the average is 12000 miles a year, so i always get confused by people avoiding these cars, yes if its 3 years old and done 100,000 like the ones in car supermarkets then avoid it like the plague, but older cars with average miles are no bad thing at all.
Nothing wrong with always cleaning your motor mate 👍👍👍
Calvin, another entertaining video mate. Thanks for the content. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏴
You look after a motor because you know the value of money and you don’t throw it away
Great Vid Calvin... Really lokking forward to a update on the M3 touring project mate... any vid would be intersesting, hows it all going? keep up the good work
I saw your vlog about a trip to Wales for a Court case.... sold a Megane couple of months back for a friend who was emigrating, I am not in the trade but self employed service sector with a large car park and barns. I received a County court summons based on the car having a flat battery! The guy is claiming £1925, the car only cost him £600! There should be some vetting system for people doing on-line CC applications. He didn't even fill out the claimant description or produce evidence and I have to go through the pain of either fecking mediation or trip to CC. Mediation is going to be a laugh, what compremise can I make, the guy is an arsehole and here is £20 towards a battery. Wife has always said "you should go into the motor trade" I would if it wasn't for the Customers. Its hard enough in the Catering Industry, always at the mercy of someone who wants to turn your day into a nightmare, I have only had two complaints in five years but they still haunt me... I knew the coffee was too strong... I practically dismantle the car when doing a viewing and drag the buyer out into the cold to test drive and prod so it pisses me off big time when someone complains and I take it as a critism of my character and honesty.
Always preferred the Vogue to the Sport.
Funny how all the cars you ‘’ buy ‘’ are on autotrader after you brought them and on the photos of this range rover there is ‘’your’’ bmw m135i silver that you bought but they are both still at the garage
great channel calvin ....high mileage never used to bother me especially on a diesel aslong as it's been looked after and serviced ...😉I'm the same as you on ocd cleaning of my motors ...your not the only one with the baby wipe fetish lol keep up the great work 👍
My daily is a V8 RR, done 117k miles so far in it. No worries, should double that.
First thing I'd be checking would be tyres especially high mileage examples
people who say this is high mileage are the sort of people who eat caviar and call their living room a "lounge" lol. Cars can last soooo much longer when taken care off. With regular maintenance, this car can definitely do 250k+. miles.
Lovely car., enjoyed the review.my old petrol mercs done just short of 300k.so I don't think the rr mileage is high at all.any car properly looked after should be OK for years.just my opinion.
Amy car has 165k miles and it's amazing so 130k isn't bad but for a landrover a guess it's a lot
Wicked video Calvin... Once again you have surpassed yourself x😎👌
Manufacturer: Land Rover. Model: Range Rover. Trim Level: Autobiography. Vogue & Vogue SE are lower trim levels. Range Rover Sport is the next model down. Lots of people get confused with it 😆
I’m still watching this video over and over again...!!!!
