Now this is what I’m talking about… we gotta stop being lazy .. and be creative in other ways like building our own booth not spending $5k-10k on an overpriced manufactured furniture, when that could be spent on the DJ business… I know It takes time. It took me a month and a half to build my custom facade but definitely worth it and it stands out from the rest.. Great work Jason… Thanks for the tip and Ideas.. I’m now super inspired to build mine.. And I’m not afraid of it being heavy.. That just means I need to lift weights and go to the gym anyway.. lol..I actually have ideas on how to make it lighter … but that’s not the point.. The point is to get started and keep moving FOWARD …Good stuff bro!!! This made my day and taught many fine lessons we can all glean from!!! 🍻
Thank you for the comment. Hopefully the message gets it’s way over to DJs all over the world, and we all push this industry up together. Let’s go!
i feel the same way. we gotta stop buying booths that cost THOUSANDS when we can make one ourselves for way less.
Best video yet Jason! Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've been watching you for several years, loved this video. I too agree with you on having a great presentation, professional appearance, both in equipment and personal appearance. I will be sharing with you a very unique booth which I created and will share with you in a few weeks. My new booth solves alot of the problems that you talked about as far as set up and break down times. Keep up the great work!
Hey steve - thanks so much for supporting the channel and content! I look forward to seeing what you have come up with!
Your crate downloads are awesome!! Thank you so much for sharing the build of this booth, I think this is one of the most useful videos on the channel!!
Thank you Michael.
absolutely amazing!!!!! Well done!
Thank you so much!
this is awsome
Thanks for breaking this down! It’s a fantastic booth for someone like me in a compact SUV.
Glad it was helpful! And yes it can literally fit in any suv
This is amazing. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
Thanks Jani I love this Booth, I will definitely try it myself
Please do!
Thank You for making this happen! ❤
Awesome, be sure to share a photo when its done!
Looks very nice. Thank U Bro!
TNX
Great video, thank you JJ
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow! Really cool.
Thanks tim!
Sweet!!
Good info! Thanks!
Thank you for stopping by
I was looking forward to this video. Thanks bro. I have an old odyssey stand that folds like your stand which i can repurpose, just have to remove the black rug.
This is a total game changer!! 🤜🤛
THANKS
Dude that is dope and I need to place an order 😂
Great video! I just recently made my own podium booth that is very similar to the one in this video. It really makes a difference in the presentation and it it actually easier to set up and break down now that I use a podium booth.
Yes it does!
Love ya man! Thank you so much this! You are really appreciated. I've got a bridal show coming up and I want to set this up. I use a four space rack, an external mixer and a Rane One. I think it could definitely be configured for holding the gear, which is what I'll likely do. I'm off the week for July 4th and this will be on my radar for sure.
Awesome and keep me posted on the build!
This was very helpful. Cheers.
Glad it helped
Jani I love this. Totally not what I want for my main build, but I am gonna make one of these for those events I can not get my main in. With options for the bottom is amazing idea. Rustic, modern, plain, and even wrapped! UPSell!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great points made! There is no reason to settle with equipment on a standard 6 ft with linen... Cords everywhere... There are so many options are out there for mobile DJs to level up their game. You definitely inspired me to build out my black extruded aluminum mirrored booth and though it was a ton of work and learning curve, I've loved every minute of the journey, and now get all the pride in the world showing it off and explaining it to interested parties at my events.
Thank you for commenting. I have not used a 6 ft table in probably 15 years at this point.
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
I’d buy this. Love the simplicity of it
Really like that design. I’m going to try something similar but may be not as wide.
Wow🤩...I love how cool this booth looks. It appears to be much more complex than it really is. I'm no carpenter, but I have some "handiness" skills. I built a Stereo T a couple of years ago and get compliments on it all the time, but being in the Mile High City, I get a lot rustic style weddings and the Stereo T doesn't fit that vibe. I think this gave me the inspiration to build a new booth to fit the style of those weddings. Thanks Jason for sharing this build!! I continue to get great ideas by watching your channel!!👏🙌
Hell yeh! Super solid.
Any tips from Jason feels like a MASTER CLASS💪🔥❤️...THANK YOU... Please may I have the dimensions for this dj booth
Bravo 🙌
Thanks!
@jasonjani I want to thank you so much for these videos. I have designed my own custom portable booth/table looking to invest in a Mobile dj booth on wheels your advice has allowed me to step up my game. Thank you and god bless!! Cheers from SF Bay Area
That is awesome
Great Video Jason! Would you be open to showing what booths you prefer and why?
This was a great video and as always great advice
I agree with you with the simplicity of the build. I follow your videos and love your work. I will love to know the dimensions of both pieces. As a mobile DJ I always want to improve myself and my looks. I use a facade for my set up and it okay but it's time to move up.
nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
I like the no screws idea. I might add it to my plexiglass dj booth
Cool, share a pic or video upload of your booth
Jason, you should make a video on what materials you use to make this. this is dope AF!
It’s pretty simple 3/8” plywood
Love this Jason!. set see you when I are around a similar height. I was wondering what are the dimensions that you used to have it made? This would be awesome for my outdoor rustic events.!
I've also been thinking about a LED wall booth, but instead of LED panels I'd attach a black screen to the front of the booth and set a small 4k short-throw projector on the ground, projecting whatever I want onto the front of the booth. Curious if you have any thoughts on this approach.
I did that a very long time ago all depends on the look you are going for
Your imagination is the limit, just dare to be different, because of your mobile media dj booth idea, i am the only dj in the detroit area with the flatscreen booth i have 2 of them and people love it and it set me apart from every other dj .
Hell yeh, but it is not just the stuff! Its your why and your how that truly is the thing that sets you apart!
100% going to be building a booth like this next week!
AWESOME
Wish I was that handy. Will pay for the build plans if you ever decide to sell. Great job Jason Jani.
Thank you
Thanks for this video. Very refreshing to hear about DIY options in light of so many over-priced options coming from the large vendors. Booth and general setup look is so important. I do wonder, however, with the console being so deep in the compartment and almost completely out of guest view, is there some performance element that's possibly lost? I have to think some guests want to see the DJ's hands on the knobs and faders, twisting and pulling away, vs. a DJ's hand movement onto a hidden device. Also, anything that hides a high laptop on a stand is a win in my book. I personally can't stand the look of laptops high in the air - a very dated approach in my opinion but sometimes a necessary evil. What would be super dope with your furniture is if the bottom piece had removable rustic wood slat material so that you could put a different type of finish on it to fit venues, rather than building another bottom. Great video, and thanks again for sharing!
Loving the look and the functionality. I like how deep it is so you can "hide" an equipment box. I may need to go this other route. My current non-rolling booth is nice, but struggles being as functional.
If you ever decide to share the build specs, I know I would be interested.
It’s good for a number of weddings and applications
It’s crazy how simple that is
All of the booths are super simple!
Can you do more pro tip videos on setting up and breaking down faster for our events?
yes sure! thanks
NICE! I have a command center booth from Bunn DJ Gear. It breaks down in 2 parts and I can fit it in my SUV. Sets up in 10 minutes or less.
Very nice!
You mentioned accessibility to higher floors, freight elevator etc. I recently did a wedding on the 2nd floor of a restaurant and there was no elevator! only a wheelchair lift that was about 4' x 4' and slow as hell! My booth did not fit and I had to dress up a banquet table with white ribbon and balloons from a nearby Walgreens which actually looked acceptable. This looks great!
I freakin love this build J! I have watched this video several times and I feel like I need to build one for myself. Maybe I missed it, but did you mention the dimensions of this build?
I didnt mention it bc you should build something that fits your needs not mine, if that makes sense.
Ive been debating building my own toad style booth. If I pair it with something like this it would put us on a whole new level.
Just out of curiosity how wide is the inside of that tray? Seems pretty universal
I honestly don’t know i measured out all the different set ups of gear to make sure everything fit
is there a deal to buy all the crates pdf or csvs
NOT YET, BUT COMING SOON. I HAVE A BUNCH OF THINGS TO UPLOAD STILL
Can you post the dimensions and directions etc.... to building this booth
Now you’ll have to go through how you built it !
It was years ago.
Measurements would be great 😅
Just to toss it out there. I’m thinking of building an all in one ceremony unit which holds all of the gear including speakers (Bose s1’s) so I can just roll it in and roll it back out……big casters since it’s going across grass most times.
I have one! I will make a video for that this coming week. Same with a Afterparty system as well!
Could you give me the specs on that particular equipment please?
My equipment?
@@Jason_Jani no I'm sorry I meant the facade
what are the dimensions of the Booth?
It was made as described for the gear I use.
What’s in that 6u rack
Mics - touch mix and a power conditioner
If there's any amps in those rolling racks, they're not going to be able to breathe. Your going to have to place the racks sideways so that there is ventilation.
I only use powered speakers for 15 years or so
A LOOK TO THE BOOTH STARTS AT 3:55
Sure it’s nice but it requires more space to load and unload and it’s wood I would rather build out of aluminum and powder coat the whole thing Light and the paint will never come off
Holy smokes that's a lot of talking.
Then dont watch it.
