    We have used the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

    Great video. I used to have a ceremony set up similar to this one but it wasn't battery power. However for the last three years I have been using a Bose S1 speaker and sennheiser AVX microphones. It is super portable. I traveled to Cancun with my ceremony set up on a backpack.

    4:16 A few years back, I got fed up with trying to reach into the back of my amp/mic racks to try and connect external stuff. What I did to fix that, was to buy some panel mount XLR's, Speakon connectors, and a pre-punched 1U 8 hole rack plate from Ali Express (eBay should also have them). I then mounted the connectors to the plate and labeled them. I even added a USB port connector so I could charge my cellphone and tablet if needed. The only pain was cutting, stripping, soldering and then heat shrinking all the extended wires sections to the back of the new connectors. That took me a few hours to do, but it was well worth it. Setups and strikes are so much easier/quicker now.

    I use the Jackery 240, which is what I think you’re recommending as the lower model to get and I agree. One advantage I see with your battery is there are multiple ac outlets. Mine just has one, but of course that’s not an issue if you’re always using a power strip with one or two open outlets if you need them.
    I basically use the 240 for just a wireless mic, sometimes a small fan to keep me cool, and sometimes a laptop charger. I’ve never drained the battery below 60% by the time the ceremony is over, and rarely go under 85%.

    The bluetti eb3a is a beast, usually 209 bucks on Amazon can do 600 watts of power and 258wh battery. I have 3 of them now. I ran speakers off of them for well over an hour when power went out at a gig.

    19:42 - Pro Tip(lol): I leave my XLRs plugged into the mics. I use 2 small/short bungies and hook them to the screw holes. To those bungies, I have two Velcro ties that I use to bundle the XLRs (15') when in transport or not in use.

    Hey Ricky, if you use the Shure combiner you can combine the combiner. So I think Shure says you can combine 5 combiner into one combiner. In a big setup you can use 25 receivers. If you use the Shure axient series with there quad receiver (Shure AD4Q) you theoretically could use 100 Wireless mics. I don't know were you could possible need and use 100 Wireless mics at the same time but its possible and if you have unlimited money, don't quote me on that, you could use combiner from professionalwireless and combine even more wireless systems xD
    Sorry for my bad englisch :D hope you like the information :D

    I power 3 receivers with one 28,000mah battery bank that’s smaller than one receiver. I use usb to 12v adapters. I have a small acoustic band so I’ve used it like that about 8 hours in one day and still had half battery left.

      Welcome back! I use what I think is a very simple and clean battery powered ceremony system. I have a small one shelf metal booth with white cloth panels. I use a Denon Prime GO as my controller for complete control, Denon says it has a 4 hour battery life. And in a pinch I have it ready as my backup unit. I use a Denon Prime 4 for my main setup. Next I use a simple Shure dual mic system, which I run on a Colorado sound and light battery pack. For sound, I use a JBL Eon Pro, It has a shorter batt life than my Maui GO 5, but it has better outputs. It's a very clean looking system, super portable and easy to setup! I don't user a mixer or one of those huge rack mounted antenna setup's. I talked to Shure about those big rigs, thinking I was doing something wrong and they assured me for what most mobile DJs do the standard dual mic is more than enough. I've only had one drop out issue and it was my fault for not scanning for channels while setting up! Just good old operator error ! Good luck :)

    Rick, question. So I see there are two lapel mics and two handhelds, with two receiver units. Maybe I missed it, are the 2 lapels working off one unit and the 2 handhelds off the other? Then lastly, do they sell them in pairs or did you just order another handheld and body ack? Thanks man!

    • @DJRickWeb
      @DJRickWeb  Рік тому

      No only two mics can work at once. So we can do two lapels for ceremony than switch to two handhelds at ceremony. And i bought extra handhelds to allow for this

      Those mics are wifi based and like someone else mentioned would not trust outdoors or in general won't use. The wifi band is so congested compared to the radio waves between 400 and 500 hz which are what my mics use. Ben stowe made a super in depth video on this. I think it is in the dj vault

    Hey bro… quick question… what type of Jackery or other power station do I need to power 2 Rane Twelves mk2, a Pioneer S11, my MacBook Pro and a little Bluetooth speaker, power all of this…to be able to practice in the garage that I don’t have any power outlets or power at all…so what do you think I need to power those things?… and no I don’t wanna buy a power generator because of gas or propane and releasing carbon dioxide and being enclose in the same room with me, I don’t wanna run it all the way to the outside either because people anybody can pass by and steal it while I’m practicing closed doors. 😆…let me know … thank you 🙏

      The big boy jackery should work. It's like the 500 model. A better thing you can do to figure out what to get. Buy a watt o meter. It measures the power draw of stuff plugged into it.
      See what your system pulls. Then buy a battery that has enough watts to power it / for how long you want. Also consider if you have any other battery things tools etc what you can get. Like me personally I have an ego lawn mower, blower etc. They make a battery generator that uses the same batteries.

    • @DJRickWeb

    • @wallybanks2656
      @wallybanks2656 2 роки тому

      I use the Furman... more for piece of mind making sure I have good, clean power to my mics/mixer/ipad. This is especially important if using an outside outlet when doing outdoor ceremonies and the power from an older outlet/source might not be the best.

      Typically big amps are best to go strait to hard power since power conditioners limit power to 15amps unless you buy a big boy ones

    I'm just playing devil's advocate here: The portable battery doesnt have the clean form factor that you get from a rackmount battery. So with that in mind, when would you ever need to use that tiny Jackery battery for another element of your show? If you lose power to your laptop, youve also lost power to your FOH speakers...which are NOT going to be battery powered at a corporate gig or wedding reception. If you.lose power to one...you lose power to ALL of your necessary elements for a show. So why make your setup look much more "amateur" with an orange battery pack under a table or on the floor nearby.
    Personally, if the highest level of fee and setting myself apart from the competition as more professional is part of the equation, I'm leaving tue ugly battery units at home and spending the money on a rackmount.

    • @DJRickWeb
      @DJRickWeb  2 роки тому

      It's under a covered table no one sees it. And the highest end companies in this industry all use them.
