Point and Click Adventure Games. We all remember them. We still play them since many have been released. Today, I thought I'd share our best point and click adventures of all time.
Some of these are classic adventure games of the 90's. Companies likes Sierra, LucasArts / LucasFilm and Revolution software were the pioneers to develop point and click games like Monkey Island and King's Quest and Broken Sword. Daedilic Entertainment, Wadjet Eye Games, and Tell Tale (along with Double Fine) have helped resurrect the industry. Episodic gaming and re-releasing of the old classics has brought a new wave of fans and hopefully we can help guide you on your adventure to Adventure...Gaming.

Hey Joshua, greetings from Buenos Aires. I just want to say that i'm so glad that The Case of The Serrated Scalpel made it into the list. It's my favourite game of all time, along with Maniac Mansion. I think is a gem so underrated that it is a shame, cause it got it all: beautifull pixel art (the lighting and shadows are gorgeous), and has a great story: murder, suicide, kidnapping....It is just great. Keep on the good work!

Quest for Glory back in the day I had played Quest For Glory I the remake and Quest for Glory III but never finished them. I still need to play QFG 4
Wow, maybe the best ranking list I've seen on adventure games! You know your stuff. I'd still add Syberia 1 and 2, Primordia, and Sanitarium.
Oh, and Toonstruck is easily top 3 for me. Basically perfect game

I was reminded of a few titles that I have yet to play, another great list!
KQ VI my favorite of the King's Quest series I still need to play this game for my channel. When I do expect me to belt out Girl in the Tower so look forward to that. Yes I will be singing along will that be good or bad well you decide.
Love this list. Only game I would have added is Thimbleweed Park.

The ending is really bad. Because of that it is only the 3rd best adventure for me.
Primordia and Ceville would have been on my top 20 list.
Anyways, not much to complain about this compilation... it's well done.
SQ IV I played and beat back in the day I still need to play it for my channel.

Awesome stuff! Rubacava will always keep a spot in my heart as the coziest video game city. How about making a list with a bit more modern stuff? Some of my favorites "recent" favorites are: Scratches, Machinarium, Primordia, Gemini Rue, Kathy Rain.. Plenty of good stuff to make lists with :)
Can't forget the blackwell saga, Broken Age, Deponia series as well. Also 7th Guest man, game was so good.
Some very underrated titles: Beneath A Steel Sky, Dragonsphere, The Legend Of Kyrandia, The Dig (far better than Full Throttle IMO). Simon The Sorcerer 1 and Lure Of The Temptress were very good, as well. Always thought Broken Sword series were a bit overrated & Monkey Island 3 & 4 were huge letdowns after the first 2 games. Telltale Sam & Max and Monkey Island games were great too. Strangeland, which is a recent point & click, turned out to be one of the best I've ever played.
I loved the Dig and Bass made my top 25 all time. I didn’t care for Lure and I could take or leave the Kyrandia games. Strangeland is one I recently played and it was indeed fantastic. Escape from Monkey Island was icky but I truly loved Curse. I’ll have to play Dragonsphere 😀

The Secret of Monkey Island I played for my channel this is another case where the commentary however is not that great so I may redo it in the future.
I need to dive into the Broken Sword series. I finally dived into Syberia and finished playing the first one.

I feel like you've never played Loom before. Loom was top tier adventure game. The music was gorgeous, story was fantastic.
I’ve played it a half dozen times and yes, it’s a wonderful game
Sam and Max Hit The Road I already did for my channel but the commentary on it was crap another one I will need to redo in the future.
This was nice. I haven't played adventuregames in years and many of these game hold very dear memories to me. I have to say though I was shocked to my core to see the longest journey in nr.18 which to me allways contends for first place with one of the gabriel knight games that were on this list.
But great list nonetheless 😊 it was also nice to see Riven on it which is a different kind of game then the others but so incredible I think it should be on it anyway.

Great list! - and kudos for putting Monkey Island 2 before the others in the series. Some I never played here, like Sherlock Holmes and Black Mirror. I have to check them out.

indy fate is one of my all time p.c games, top notch...
Monkey Island 2 is my favorite of the Monkey Island games since it now has voice acting. Curse of Monkey Island before the special edition of Monkey Island 2 was my favorite. I did an LP of this game but the commentary was quite frankly crap so I will be redoing it in the future.

My top of the tops is _"Broken Sword (saga),"_ but where on this list is "Prisoner in the Ice"?
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis I played back in the day and I got as far as Atlantis but never completed it.
It's a great ending and worth playing, though Atlantis can be monotonous. You should play it again and take a different path this time.
Lol, it's one of the very few I actually managed to finish. That and The Dig. Two Lucas Arts gems imho.
Monkey island, followed by Fate of Atlantis would be my favorites, followed by a mix of space quests and king quests.
Hard to go wrong with those

I'm sure that even if you asked any of the creators of places 1 through 8 (including Ron Gilbert), they'd tell you "well, The Secret of Monkey Island is a lot better than our game, but it's not really a competition."
Nice list. I am wondering if "Alone in the dark" did not made it to the list or is it not considered an adventure game?
I just didn’t enjoy it enough to finish. It was too different for a young me.

Day of the Tentacle I absolutely love this game I already did an LP of it but again the commentary was quite frankly crap so another one I will be redoing later on.

Hey - great list and thanks for introducing me to a load I have never played. Did you like Loom back in the day? I really enjoyed that when I played it. What about older text based adventure games like Seabase Delta or does that not count? Are you all excited about Return to Monkey Island (I am happy with the art style by the way)?

If I remember right, this list doesn’t include any text adventures and primarily focuses on point and click. If I’m to be honest, I’ve never played a text only game with any level of excitement.
In regards to the monkey island graphics, I’m on the fence. I certainly don’t hate it. The recent clip that DD released looked pretty good. I did a video on the graphics debate where I spoke in more detail. You may be interested in checking it out 😊

Full Throttle I played on my channel the commentary wasn't that great though so I may revisit it in the future. I do have tons of games that I need to play for the first time so don't expect it anytime soon.

The Beast Within I really need to play when I get back home I still need to finish Shovel Knight so most likely after that.
I've finished 14 1/2 of these, but I need still play Broken Sword 5 (as well as 3, 4, 2.5 and the remasters of 1 & 2), Tex Murphy (any of them (for shame)!), Black Mirror (all 3 (I'll skip the remake)), Sherlock Holmes (and it's sequel Rose Tattoo...and all the Frogware games), Day of the Tentacle (first gotta beat Maniac Mansion!) and the later half of Grim Fandango (it has such esteem, I'm really prolonging the experience :D ). Wait, that seemed like more the 5 and a half!? :P

The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes I played back in the day I would really love to play it again this time for my channel.
It's a unique game that is like to see someone play.
Curse of Monkey Island you say is number 6 but according to the video is number 5. I love this game and have played it on my channel already but it is another one where the commentary wasn't that great so I may redo it in the future.

I "only" played 22 titles, so the last positions on the list are not exactly games I would necessarily recommend.

11:10 Gabriel's accent is especially overdone and annoying to those who know, when you consider the fact that they don't speak with a "drawl" in New Orleans. The local White dialect in New Orleans is called Yat and it sounds very unusual and different but it's nothing like whatever Gabriel is doing. People compare the White New Orleans accent to a Brooklyn, NYC accent. It has some similarities for certain. Look up a video on here called "where ya at a variety of New Orleans accents" to hear what I'm referring to.

I played The Black Mirror the game has good atmosphere Samuel is kind of an annoying protagonist but I still enjoyed the game.
