- I review the latest Alesis Nitro Max! (Link 👉) drumhelper.com/recommends/ale...
The Alesis Nitro Mesh has been one of my top recommended beginner electronic drum kits for several years. It’s a great kit, but it may become a thing of the past with Alesis releasing their new Nitro Max version.
In this review, we look at all the features of the Alesis Nitro Max. I share my experience with it, and compare the features to what came before on the classic Nitro Mesh kit.

Informative 👏🏼
Perfect review! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!!
Great video!
I am getting closer and closer to getting one of these :)
Do it! Can't go wrong with this kit for the price.
@@GideonWaxmanHey Gideon thanks for posting your review on the max. I had the alesis mesh and am considering getting the max. In your opinion, does this kit offer more versatility with the 440 sounds on the module to play pretty much any song? Idk exactly how many sounds the mesh had
@@GideonWaxman UPDATE: Kit was ordered and should arrive today.
@@RonGivensRasta Awesome!
Very nice
How can I balance kit patch seperately..? Help me about this..
Epic! Such a great kit. While it doesn’t have the Roland sound quality, I definitely think it beats everything when it comes to value. I’d totally recommend this to a beginner over anything else. Even to someone who just wants something affordable.
Oh absolutely, in terms of value for money this is as good as it gets IMO
I use this for gigs, beats my Roland TD11KV by a mile.
@@IansDrumsandBass are you using the default sounds, editing a kit, or did you buy other kit packs?
Those snare ghosts actually Sound pretty decent
Yeah I was definitely impressed with the snare!
Why such a crappy rack tho 😖
@@woutervanwijk4369 It's a cheap kit and they need to keep costs now. Alesis just released their new flagship kit called Strata Prime and it's almost 10 times more expensive than the Nitro Max- the rack is significantly better as you can imagine!
Hi, can you help me with a question, is this Kick Pad compatible with the Tama Speed Cobra?
Yes easily for the single pedal but it's a bit more tricky with the double. But I made it work.
Seriously thinking of getting this im a drummer of 35yrs and looking for something good and great value to play thinking of the expansion kit .? Would you really recommend or should i go for like td7 by roland cheers
It's up there with the best value for money kits. But if you're a drummer of 35 years you might want something with better playability features. But if you just want something to practice on then this is perfect!
Can you tell me what type of double bass pedal you use in the video?
It's a Tama Speed Cobra double pedal. :)
I can't decide between nux dm 210 and alesis nitro max. nux has a better chassis, but do you think alesis or nux is better in terms of sound, feeling and sensitivity?
In terms of entry level electronic kits this is the best, hands down.
Do you think it can support a 3 zone cymbal pad?
I don't think so but I'm not 100% sure!
I think I dropped the key like 30 times putting this kit together
HAHA same
I love the new max kit sounds awesome but who ever designed the Rack needs to be fired !!! Why didn't you just use the drum key for all the screws instead of that cheap little hex key ????? and charged $429.99 WTH Alesis
I agree I think it would be so much better if it was compatible with a drum key!
Can you crash the ride ?
Good question - I think you can but only on a few of the kits!
no
got them two days ago, still too loud for my neigbors :-/
Frustrating! E-kits don't get quieter than this unfortunately.
@@GideonWaxman yeah, gonna have to replace that kick pedal
First thing I’d do is Immediately throw away those cymbals and use acoustic cymbals!!!! They look and sound HORRIBLE!!!!🙄
That totally defeats the point of electronic drums. They are meant to be quiet! Plus, this is an extremely affordable electronic kit, there's way more premium options with better feeling cymbals like the Alesis Strata Prime.
