After a sudden change of plans due to a disappointing ghosting incident and a dash of frustration over a scam, we stumbled upon the quaint charm of Kedai Makanan Heng Lee. Nestled in the heart of Bukit Mertajam old town, this old-fashioned restaurant boasts a legacy of serving delectable Teochew dishes that tantalize the taste buds.

We couldn't resist indulging in the signature Teochew-style steamed fish, its tender flesh bathed in a savory broth infused with delicate herbs and spices. The clams cooked with fermented beans provided a delightful contrast of textures and flavors, while the steamed triple eggs offered a creamy indulgence that left us craving for more.

Thank you... I actually started this channel to record my family's adventures. Then it slowly evolved into eating and holidays too!
So sorry to hear you get scam, brother take care,be careful in future, hope you can overcome ,🙏,thanks for sharing.
Thank you thank you... yes, small price for a good lesson bro. No more next time, hopefully, and hope all those out there will learn from my mistake!
I understand how distressing this situation must be for you. it's okay to feel upset or angry. You're not alone. Small Tuition lesson to pay .. lol
We were advised to Never pay using suspicious URL platforms to disclose bank or credit card Accts details .
I like the Teochew food you shared. Teochew cuisine is renowned for its emphasis on freshness, simplicity, and delicate flavors. Dishes often feature a harmonious balance of the different tastes .
Great video ❤
Hahaha usually I am the one telling my mom not to get scammed, but sepandai-pandai tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga (no matrer how good the squirrel is at jumping, it must fall to the ground eventually)... LOL.
Yes... Teochew food is delicious and not too "heavy". 😀
Before covid l use to go penang, after covid l hardly travel ,why aging cannit walk too much 😂,l really enjoy the food there so much.
Ohhhh that's a shame. I guess anywhere we stay, there are awesome local dishes to enjoy! I hope there is something similar to Penang food where you live!
Thank you for sharing your story. Yes, I bought fake Jabra headsets from FB. Ever since, no more buying via FB.
Yup I find buying over Facebook is the most risky. A lot of fake stuff too.
Sorry to hear about the scam! Most importantly, you are safe and sound
Yes, always count our blessings!
Sorry to hear about you being scammed. I still think that online shopping is generally safe if you stick to reputable platforms like Lazada, Shopee or Amazon with refund policies and I only look for vendors who have good reviews and high sales in the order hundreds or thousands … things are cheap for a reason and are mostly fake so watch out … for individual sale items I will normally pay on sight/ after checking … better luck next time bro …
Hehehe you are absolutely right. I was looking for a used ball for my daughter... never expected scammers even post fake bowling balls. Hahaha... not just the usual Iphones and gadgets. 😂
Sorry, comment on the wrong video , I was talking about the marathon runner in China with 3 African .
🤣🤣🤣 LOL hahaha appreciate you watching my videos anyway bro!!!
Penang too hot. Need Aircon place to eat in.😅
Ya loh, it has been so hot for awhile but it has started to rain recently so it has cooled down a little bit, thank goodness!
Report to pdrm scam hotline and share with them the account number you have transfer. They will block the account.
Oh thanks for the info...let me check this out.
Sorry to hear about you being scam....it's happening a lot these days to everyone young and old. At least you didn't lose your life saving and by next year you might not even remember or it won't bother you anymore. It could have been worst. At least you still have money to eat out........😃
Yeah very true. About a month ago I overheard an old auntie complaining to the bank officer that she had been cheated around RM6,000 from a phone scam. Generally I avoid taking calls from strangers and dealing over the phone. Sigh. And the authorities are quite reluctant to do much about these thieves.
@@pishedbloke Yes I do get a lot of emails and phone calls too, It's good to educate our children and the people to remind them and us of these people are waiting to take advantage of you.
A local cuisine cooked by teochews, traditional teochew cuisine is slightly bland and pay more importance on the freshness of the ingredients.
Yes that is very accurate! That is why I don't need to add extra rice when eating Teochew food, it is less salty and rich so it can be eaten by itself!
Share the scammers particulars so others might be forewarned. Take care😊
I think it is a fake profile. Yeah I usually will share the contact on Facebook. But in case anybody is curious his whatsapp link is: Justin Wu

@@pishedbloke - Welcome.😁
Oh dear! Scary to buy stuff online.
Ya lah, higher risk
Personally ive only sold through fb marketplace and i never scam anyone hahaha
Yeah I have bought and sold previously too... never thought I would be scammed over a bowling ball! LOL
Hahaha!!! Mr "Kena Scam" Welcome to reality! Internet today are different when it started or even 5 years ago! Myself also kena fr China n even USA market! Good old honesty are gone! Will be good if u can give the costs then nearby people will decide to try. ❤ food lah🎉🎉❤❤£#@(¥$€♡☆!❤
Yes bro, can't trust these online sellers anymore, better to go through selling platforms like Ebay or Lazada, at least we have buyer protection. Yes I try to give the prices of our food... at the end of the video usually.
Rm120 is so cheap for 6 dishes.😮
Yes really value for money. I think it is hard to find such a meal at this price on the island
Wont be the last scam. Good luck
ya loh... still got those phone scammers, mostly target older people. Sigh. Damn sian
Bro today I got ate here
Ikan bawal putih rm 55
Kobis tuna rm 18
Udang sambal 22
Rice 3 with 1 water rm 6
Total 100
Is it cheap ?
OK lah, the pomfret is expensive nowadays, around RM60-80 per m=kg at the market depending on size. Actually order the stingray is also very good and cheaper a bit.
@@pishedbloke ok next time I will order stingray
Wahh u ordered 6 dishes... you have 3 kids and 2 adults only leh 😅🤣
Ya we ordered all small portions, but inthe end it was just nice, all finished. I didn't add rice. That's the good thing about Teochew dishes, they are not overpowering, so you can eat it without rice. My kids actually ate quite a lot!
I kena also from FB bought car shades. It was RM78. The seller ask me to transfer which I wasn’t comfy so I said I pay COD. He say kenot. So agreed to bank into his acct thru the cash machine. So bank can only be in round number so I bk in RM80. Sp pro he said will send baring and RM2 balance. Now about 5 months d. Every time I watsapp him he will act surprised and will check and send 3 times I watsapp in 3 months. Till now hampak pun takde.
wah imagine if 10 people kena... he untung RM800 for nothing. Sigh. Unfortunately our laws are very weak against these scams
Complain to police & report the Bank account no.!
