My wife and I will be going there very soon from the US. But I hate being herded like cattle. That’s why we are renting a car and driving ourselves and taking our own sweet time.
I did one of those big, multi night bus tours a few years ago. It took you from LA to Yosemite and San Fran...never again! Now when I book tours, I try to book small ones, as they're more intimate and the tour guides can be a bit more lenient. I have a 4 day Isle of Sky tour from Edinburgh coming up next month, so this video has gotten me excited as it stops in the highlands too!
What amazes me more than the beauty of the Scottish Highlands are its beautiful native people. Despite growing up in the most primitive conditions i.e. blackhouses and bothies with a firepit for cooking they are so tall, fair with the most amazing facial features and complexions. They also act so regal, calm, happy and posh they make the royals seem common. Carol Kirkwook (5'8, buxom, happy etc) is a fine example. Where do they learn how to be so "zen" and polite?
I’d definitely agree with some of the comments here that so much of the hidden Scotland and highlands was missed! There’s so much hidden beauty and hidden gems to explore if you’re not bound by strict tour guides. But loved the video never the less. I have started uploading videos of our lives and adventures living in the Scottish Highlands if anyone is interested ❤️
I would have liked to heard the ice cream cone rejection. Now all together in your thickest Scottish accent: "Naught a drop o' whisky ice cream on this bonnie bus, laddies!"
What month was this? We used Highland Experience and we went Saturday to Monday, saw allot more. You stay 2 night at Bed Breakfast. And we were in mini bus no more than 15 people. It was the best. 😊 Came back 2019, drove all over Scotland. 🏴 LOVE SCOTLAND
You can get specal mini bus trips that go to less touresty places and more fun. We still burn peat at times its a very slow burn and lovely. The first time Nessie was mentioned in 56ad becaus he attacked on of St Columbas followers, so Nessie is very old and thats why he cant be arsed to say hi.
Thank you for the video. We wanted to book a highland tour which cost us 1000£ for 3 pax and we glad we will choose renting car. Will visit highland tomorrow 29 Jun 2024, pray for our trip ❤❤❤
Lovely video. Some great Scotland scenes in the new composition 'You Carried Me Home from the Billboard charting album 'Oceans' by USA pianist Jennifer Thomas, Superbly filmed by her husband Will.
I started watching and have to wait to finish with Dennis because it's already so good! Super excited to tune in guys. As always your editing (and intros) are🔥.
I read "rabies" and omg that sentence took on a whole different meaning 😂 Y'all had no one else on the tour because you were foaming at the mouth! Stick to the coos, not racoons bruh 🦝🦝🦝 haha glad you guys had a good time! We heard Rabbies is the best
I'm back...! to another great video, smiled the entire time - Thank you. Just took the fam to Disney World from Colorado pulling the trailer - it was amazing, but Holy Christ, ALL the people. I knew there'd be a lot, but man-alive. You could feel the funk dripping off everything. I don't know how you guys do it, constantly among all the people, scattered everywhere like herpes. Respect
Ale>sewage for sure. Whiskey IceCream, hell yea!!😋 for the money and given the time constraints, seems like the tours are a good way to go. As always, your recommendations are valuable to anyone planning to visit. Just make those train reservations early.🥲 great video!🤩
Would you absolutely recommend the bus tour for a solo traveller? I plan to spend my birthday in the highlands but I'm afraid it could feel like I'll be travelling in a bus the whole day. Was all the travelling worth it even if you only spent around 15 mins in Glencoe? Thanks!
Watching your video, as you drove past all the best spots. Down all the little roads, that you could’ve took on your own, was saddening. All the little nooks and crannies. That take you to wonderful places. you pass by every last one of them. The place you stop to see the train. Is for tourists. I would’ve had you up close and personal with that train. It’s a shame you guys spent all that money to come to Scotland and only seen it from a bus window. Never do that again. Make your own Scottish adventure. Don’t rely on tourist traps….🤷🏻♂️🏴
Can't go down every little road though. I only have 1 day to take a day trip out of Edinburgh this July and a guided bus tour would be very useful for me; else I won't get to see the Highlands at all.
Hey, I could use some help. I’m coming across the pond on 11/1. Hitting Ireland then Scotland. I don’t do tourist stuff. I’m the opposite. I seek out unique adventures with amazing people. I’ve been pretty blessed with this approach. I need to camp / stay in the highlands. Input? Thoughts? Contacts? I’m solon

The best way to explore up here in the Scottish highlands
Try not to knock anybody over like with Harry Dunn (RIP).

Fun fact: Loch Ness actually has more water than all of the lakes and rivers of England and Wales combined.
It’s super deep!

Thank you for your upload
Can you be kind enough to let me know where is the place at the pinned time? 0:52
We did tours with Rabbies and had a great time, just a few people, no crowds, lots of fun.

Haha they joke about their name on the tour!

Haha so many places are getting so crowded. We’re having to be more and more strategic and where we go and what time of year. Safe travels Jerry! 🤘🏽
The way you said Levio-sah. IYKYK
Which you think is better New Zealand South Island meadows or Scotland Highland meadows?
Next time book Mac backpackers smaller bus and much better! We did it last month and it was incredible

Was the second tour guide named Alistair by any chance?
Did you have issues with the miggies at the harry potter train? we were there last year in march and had thousands of bites waiting for the train.
Oh dang, no we didn’t experience that, it must depend on the time of year..lucky for us that doesn’t sound fun
WOW THIS IS EPIC 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Taylor!! Scotland blew us away! 🤘🏽
@@ONWorldTravel I’m sure keep crushing life ♥️♥️♥️
What’s the tour bus service that you guys recommend from Edinburgh to Highlands? ( especially to see harry potter train location )
We preferred Timberbush! But we’ve also heard Rabbie’s is really great too
Thank you!
Is it open for tour in November?
You have a nice personality!
