Dependable yet cheap Wireless Keyboard & Mouse - Logitech MK345
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 чер 2019
- The Logitech MK345 is a fairly simple answer for someone who wants a wireless keyboard and mouse set.
There are some minor issues with it, but it more than compensates for those with its attractive price point.

There was no Typing demo, with sound of the keyboard. Please try to include that.
I think so too
i have razer blackwidow ultimate, rk855 and mk345, if you are getting a keyboard only for typing alot of words, ALWAYS ALWAYS GO FOR LOGITECH KEYBOARDS , ive tried k120, mk345, these two are really recommended, because mechanical keys are taller and closer to each other so highly to have typos. i dont recommend the bluetooth keyboards with round keys like k480 which ive also tried. ive not tried logitech gaming or highend office keyboard. mk345 has no backlight. mk345 mouse is not suitable for people with big hands, its smaller than a standard office mouse.
Love the clear and concise approach! Super handy!
Great review format, but a lot of information that is pertinent to making a choice for a keyboard (and mouse) are left out. Maybe I'm becoming a keyboard snob during my search for the perfect keyboard, but I have to rely on my keen eye to discern some details like the lack of anti-ghosting (they're using stickers to save cost) keys. My other choice was a G613 but despite furiously searching and squinting, the only reason I discovered it has stickers as well, is that it was a passing comment during a very long and boring review on another channel. I think the letters are of high importance on a keyboard, as well as the tactile feedback and sound. Many reviews leave this information out and even use subjective (useless in a keyboard review) determinations to justify their score rather than objective (useful for everyone) data.
Could you explain why it's not meant for gaming? Is there noticable lag? I do plan to game on it casually, but I'll primarily be using it for gaming only. Hence my dilemma.
It is not meant for gaming because it was meant for office. The lag is not so severe to be noticeable. If it was it would hinder my typing speed which it doesn't. There is no hard statement that this must not be used for gaming, you can, but there would be issues with multiple key press limit, or uneven actuation force. The kind of keyboards that addresses these issues costs much more.
@@CyberCatTechnologies Would it be much of an upgrade over a gaming laptop keyboard? Was hoping it'd be decent enough for a bit of casual gaming
how do you replace the battery with the keyboard? cant seem to remove the slot
2:43 there goes my question answered.. i'm planning to build a very budget oriented wireless setup for casual gaming, but the logitech g613 & g603 was too expensive 😂
What did you settle for in the end?
@JGD I ended up with a Tecware Phantom L and Logitech G304. Happy with both purchases
@@efgerfgergferg6749 How many switches have you replaced.. so far
@@sethgyan I havent replaced any so far, still working well
@@efgerfgergferg6749 And it's been close to a year? Will take some effort and expense to get them to where I am. I can't make any mistakes you see, and more risk if I'm making a budget purchase.
That intro break beat 🔥
is it good for gaming? please respond
I have spilt 2 coffee's and a wine into it, rinse it out, still working fine ;-)
Thats cool...
I have a question here. I am a novice PC. Can I buy Logiteck MK395 and open the box and just hook it up and it 's ready to go. Do I have to setup like a HP printer? Thanks.
These are plug and play. You do not need to install any software if you don't want to.
I use the MK345 for gaming tho since I don’t had a gaming keyboard sadly
Is it good
For gaming
Idk tho i havent use it for a long time but i think is a lil bit good so yea
I just got it the keyboard is great but I don’t use the mouse it’s too small for my hand so I stick with m190 already have for a long time
Not entirely a bargain - I bought this to replace my MK270 with worn keys... in less than a year, the keys had worn smooth (and Thai alphabet wearing off is a real issue when it's not your native language). It drops the media keys of the MK270r - which didn't have skip keys for music, this one does but they are functions placed on F keys... so you either use function keys, or functions (can be swapped) or you have to press a modifier due to the lack of extra media keys.
Overall it felt better - but then the 'a' key stopped working... the MK270r still works... the MX keys is far too expensive, so methinks it's time to jump over to a Royal Kludge 84 key mechanical because that's cheaper and potentially can last far far longer.
So timely. I just bought this model 3 days ago
and playing F1 😄
Lol... that is funny.. I could game with this keyboard all day too... Minesweeper here I come...
Does the typing sounds noisy? If you compared to K120 or any logitech low-profile keyboard
I do not understand the non-unifying receiver concept here. Could you please care to explain in a bit more laymen terms
Logitech has their own proprietary communication protocol called the unifying protocol. Thus the receiver, the little usb dongle, is not hard coded to one thing as such, they may be factory paired, but we can very easily change them around using the Logitech software. This gives us an added layer of versatility. For example, if we wanted to use the mouse with a different computer, we could pair it there with a different unifying receiver. Or you may have a different Logitech mouse, as was the case with me, I could not pair two differ models via the same receiver, had to use two. But at the same time, the shame was that the mouse was a total waste, sitting in storage, I could have given it to my son.
Having said this - if you are buying the set, for use as a pair, you want both the keyboard and the mouse to be used by the same computer then all that I have mentioned above, does not matter at all, and that point is totally mute in that case.
Hope this was helpful.
To make the point clear,
so, do you mean that i can't use a wireless bluetooth kyeboard and mouse combo with bluetooth adapter available in the market like, 'TP-Link USB Bluetooth Adapter for PC 4.0 Bluetooth Dongle Receiver ', or 'ASUS USB-BT400 USB Adapter w/ Bluetooth Dongle Receiver, Laptop & PC Support' or even Logitech C-U0007 Unifying Receiver for Mouse and Keyboard Works with Any Logitech Product That Display The Unifying Logo?
You are correct. This keyboard and mouse combo will only work with the receiver provided. And a side note - you called it Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, this does not use Bluetooth nor the Logitech's unifying communication protocol. Its a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, that uses its own non-standard communication method, what ever that may be.
@@CyberCatTechnologies oh, thats why they don't work with standard USB Bluetooth Adapter. so if the supplied dongle is lost, then these gadgets will Be of no use?
This is my concern too. Loose the receiver, the set is lost. Unless you can get Logitech to send you another receiver or something. The MK345 is made to a budget, they did not want it to compete with their own higher priced items. A unifying receiver would have been perfect, but they reserve that technology for more expensive items.
I am finding the BlueTooth connection with the keyboard quite unstable and frustrating. My PC sits on the floor, directly below my wooden desk. Has anyone else had similar issues? SHow I get a USB extension cable do I can put the receiver on the top of my desk??
I did not personally face the same issue. However, you mention Bluetooth, slightly confusing, because this keyboard doesn't use Bluetooth.
Just a thought try changing to a good pair of batteries, see if that helps.
Try Logitech MK850 for your next upgrade , it suitable for you (Multi-Device & Unifying/Bluetooth) ~ lol
great review.. thank you so much!!
I love your accent
What do u think in terms of the typing sound? Noisy or quiet? And between this and the classic K120, which is better? Thanks for the vid
This is a fairly quiet keyboard as I remember it. Although K120 is a different class of keyboard altogether.
I am having occassinal lap in typing with this keyboard. Have you experienced simiar issues
If you want to press the mute on F9, you have to press FN? Or you can do without FN?
I don't know if you still need the answer, but yes. All the special functions of the F keys are activated with the Fn key (which is the opposite of most laptops that you might be used to). Thankfully, the Fn is really large on this one, so it's pretty comfortable and not as frustrating as on most keyboards.
SOUND TEST ?
Is there a capslock scroll lock numlock indicator in this??
What is the wieght of the mouse?
Is this a mechanical keyboard or a membrane keyboard? I already have this keyboard but I don't know the difference between membrane and mechanical very well.
Its a membrane keyboard. Mechanical keyboard used to be the default back in the 70s and 80s which had a distinct spring click to the typing sound. They were made to last, decades if needed, and they did. Most keyboards that you see around are membrane keyboards. These days, mechanical keyboards are more used for gaming and such.
Do you know the polling rate?
come on, plug it in, showcase as well the caps/num indicators, such a big studio but no sound review as well??
So the mouse doesn't support logitech option?
Thanks for the review of Logitech MK345. I just got one of the Keyboard combos at work and probably recommend it, my other Users, a well. By the way, I live in Sydney, if If you still have the Guitar to give away. :) I would be interested
Excellent🎉
Will this work with Macbook Air
Does it drag click
logitech keyboards battery is more reliable than apple keyboard. i own both of them. keyboard and mouse, go for Logitech.
Do you use it on MAC?
@@johnrobson550 yes i am. battery in my logitech still running for the last 2 years. apple keyboard just sux. battery runs out quite fast. it only good for aesthatic.
Funcions en MAC?
Can we use this for medium gaming
What do you mean by medium gaming?
Have u observed a lag while typing?
Nop
I think you should try Logitech unifying software.
Already tried at the time of review...
What was it you were expecting..
@@CyberCatTechnologies I tried connecting older keyboard with unifying receiver with unifying software. It worked.
@@kishoreabraham lol.. older is not a model number. What keyboard was it that worked with unifying receiver?
@@CyberCatTechnologies it's k240. It came with non unifying receiver. When I lost the receiver I thought it's the end of that keyboard.
I have mx master 2s. I gave it a try with unifying software, it was paired.
Later I found the original receiver, it didn't pair it back to that. I checked with Logitech. They have a discontinued app that deals with those connections (for old receivers).
Don't remember the app name, but it connected the old receiver with old keyboard (k240)
@@kishoreabraham Interesting. K240 is not exactly the same as MK345. It is possible Logitech may have originally intended to sell it with Unifying receiver, but changed the plan due to some marketing reason. Dont know. But MK345 is not compatible (at lease at time of testing) with unifying receiver. I tried the same in my newer video too...
On the MK345 I don't like the palm rest is there alternative without it?
is it best for programming with low prise
?
Please refrain from spamming.. the answer is yes.
it's anti ghosting keyboard ?
No..
@@CyberCatTechnologies thank you
I ordered one for work but soon realise keys are way to hard and mouse hard af
Is that backlit?
No
is it membrane?
Yes
I'm Japanese
Is it Men Bren keyboard?
Tell me who Men Bren is, or what it is?
@@CyberCatTechnologies I hope he mean membrance. Now I am really curious what Men Bren is
@@CyberCatTechnologies
Bruh, he was referring to membrane. He wanted to know if the keyboard has mechanical keys or membrane one's
@@heyy8992 I thought Men Bren was a thing, perhaps a joke of double meaning, I just did not get the reference.
Yes
The keyboard and mouse is laggy beyond belief. Just smashed it to pieces and I think it works a lot better than it did before. DO NOT BUY!!!! @logitech stand in the corner!
I like your guitar lol
Thanks
@@CyberCatTechnologies ive heard youre giving it away haha
Yes, that is true.
NOPE, I will not buy this KB
it has plastic feet that ALWAYS break
I want a KB that has a BASE KB support
not plastic feet
I accidentally spill coke on it, so now some keys cannot be typed. The liquids could corrode whatever underneath the keys.
I doubt there is anything other than plastic underneath. But the drink dries, the sugar may start jamming the keys.
