I saw a full sized Ram a week ago that had a GFC on it. It had a passenger side awning and a rooftop rack system for surfboards/kayaks. I had looked at Topo, 4WD Campers, "Sorry, we don't make a version for your particular model". I have an 04 Toyota SR5 4X4 Tundra Extended cab. My local Toyota Dealership Head Maint guy has been pressuring me to sell it to him. Low miles, in mechanically excellent condition. It needs some paint and new trim. GFC said "No Problem"!! It's unfeasible to have to sell a perfectly good truck and buy a new truck in order to get a good camper.
We agree, there's no need to upgrade if you have an old reliable. First Gen Tundras are a great platform, give us a shout if you have any questions for us!
Wait, so we CAN mount things to the side panels?! Oh boy, do I have some lighter weight projects then... Great idea with the MaxTrax too btw, might be on my short list.
