    This song really speaks about the struggle young women face and the drama some women go through the provide for their children. Really makes me think about my mom and all the things she went through to get us where we at today.

      This is what excuses and a total lack of accountability sounds like. Just pure weakness. Women make dumb choices and then complain about the consequences. When you're a slave to your emotions and don't have the sense to Wed before you're bred, this is the kind of shit you should expect.     I heard this song all of my life, in the car, at home, anywhere. I never realised the meaning, the words. I sang this song every time I heard it, but the other day I paid attention to the lyrics. Listened to it carefully, and as soon as I knew the meaning, I got goosebumps. This is pure music.

    The lead singer Rob was on intervention and had such an inspiring story. He has come from rock bottom and has fixed his life for his daughter and his family. He is an inspiration and I hope he keeps it up. Way to to Rob... Do it for Lyric!

    Time has flown by and hip hop has changed since this song came out. I wish this group made a come back and made more hits. This was a one hit wonder joint back in the day freshman year high school 2001.

    Back when Rap/hip hop/ R&B had a message... A real message. Now a days you got these privileged people spitting nonsense thinking they conquered a mountain, I prefer the music where we all speak as a equal because the ones that struggle make there life and to me thats more meaningful and basically called living, but thats just me.

    I wish that these guys would get back together.......i remember all my brothers and sisters and me, all 6 of us, used to sit down together and listen to this song every chance we got.... this song was something we all could listen to without arguing... in a way i can say it kept us together i guess cuz we had a pretty bumpy chilhood there for a large amount of time... i miss these guys...     I think the reason the song is so upbeat is to help balance out the subject matter, as well as offer a positive outlook and optimism for people that deal with this type of stuff. Saying "Hey, yeah this sucks right now but keep your head up"

    Ey city high, I really appreciate this song cuz it makes me think about the kids that gotta take care of their family cuz the parents cant cut it. This is really giving me a direction I wanna work towards helping and I been lost myself but I think it's time to go back to school and devote some money to helping the real strugglers who grew up not knowing nothing else.     When I was younger i use to listen this song vybzing singing along. Since becoming a mum after having to sleep with men to put food on the table and clothes on our back, this song kept me going mentally. Ladies honestly I understand do what you gotta especially if like my kids they end up with sperm doners (no right being called a father)
