This takes me back to '96 when this song was still on the radio. I remember listening to this song a lot in the car with my mom. She just passed away. I wish we could go back.
Over twenty years later and this still sounds fresh as fuuuuuuuuu$&k. Oh to be 21 again! Us old people are sitting here wondering what the hell happened to good hip hop. 🤭🤔
Actually these guys were responsible for bringing auto-tune back. It's in half of this album. You can clearly hear it in the chorus and when they say no diggity. The difference is they had actual singing ability and used it for flavor and not to hide the fact they cant sing or flow.
Yes autotune is right I do know. It just wasn't called that then. It was an effect patch which copied the sound of an actual physical talk box used by Roger Troutman aka Roger and Zapp. Zapp being Roger's voice through the talk box. It still did the same thing. It took the incoming sound and allowed the user to change the key it is in.
Winamp was great! I also downloaded this from NAPSTER. I’m from the cassette and LP generation, so that was an exciting time. It was so fun to test it! Now I use UA-cam Music and it’s even better. 💃

Dr. Dre is arguably the greatest rapper/producer of all time. His new album in 2022 is pretty damn good. His style is crazy now. Never heard Dre like I have in his new album the Contract. The dude has created beats for thousands of hits and he is still dropping good music. Definitely the most intelligent rap artist. He sits back and watches where things go in the industry and then he strikes with real rap making all those mumble rappers bow down. The man has observed for years. Real OG!

Attracting honeys like a magnet
Giving 'em eargasms with my mellow accent
Still moving this flavor
With the homies blackstreet and teddy

Strictly biz, she don't play around
Cover much ground, got game by the pound
Getting paid is her forte

This track doesn’t age. As someone who always preferred rock & metal, this track has stood the test of time better than most of what I was listening to at the time
A good song is a good song no matter what style it is.
It's good but you where obviously not listening to the same rock heavy metal and other rock types I was old school Metallica and Chicago not even close
Exactly my thought.. I may be a 40 y/o metal chick but this song is my only R&B fav 😊
Agreed 100.0% mate!
My parents are huge rock n roll, metal, and country lovers. But they were teenagers and in their 20s when KC, EWF, Kool and the gang, prince, MJ, and Bobby brown all came out. So they love that stuff and it translated to me.
Blackstreet blew my mind when this came out, such talent. This is my favorite era of hip-hop.
This will never get old, I remember listening to this kind of music when I was still a kid. Love those times

But not only is this track a masterpiece, but this video is INSANE! So well designed and shot. Everything on this whole project is a masterpiece.
Totally agree 👍🏻
Really tho i remember even as a 10 yr old in 96 i noticed how amazing everything was from the cinematography to the women to the choreography..it really is a flawless video that goes perfectly with an already flawless track.. most definitely one of my all time favorite videos
Sugar, Sugar....
Yes! 😊
1996: No Diggity was released
2024: No Diddy came out
Yeah
You know what
I like the players
No diggity, no doubt, yeah
Play on player, play on player
Yo Dre, drop the verse
It's going down, fade to Blackstreet
The homies got at me, collab' creations, bump like acne
No doubt, I put it down, never slouch
As long as my credit can vouch
A dog couldn't catch me ass out
Tell me who can stop when Dre makin' moves
Attracting honeys like a magnet
Giving 'em eargasms with my mellow accent
Still moving this flavor
With the homies Blackstreet and Teddy
The original rump shakers
Shorty get down, good Lord
Baby, got 'em open all over town
Strictly biz, she don't play around
Cover much grounds, got game by the pound
Getting paid is her forte
Each and every day, true player way
I can't get her out of my mind (Wow)
I think about the girl all the time (Wow wow)
East side to the west side
Pushin' phat rides, it's no surprise
She got tricks in the stash, stacking up the cash
Fast when it comes to the gas
By no means average
She's on when she's got to have it
Baby, you're a perfect ten, I wanna get in
Can I get down so I can win?
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up, girl
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, get up
She's got class and style
Street knowledge by the pound
Baby never act wild, very low key on the profile
Catchin' feelings is a no
Let me tell you how it goes
Herb's the word, spin's the verb
Lovers it curves so freak, what you heard?
Rollin' with the phatness
You don't even know what the half is
You gotta pay to play
Just for shorty, bang-bang, to look your way
I like the way you work it
Trump tight all day, every day
You're blowing my mind, maybe in time
Baby, I can get you in my ride
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, oh yeah
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, bag it up, babe
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up, get up
Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo (Hey yo, that girl looks good)
Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo (Play on, play on, player)
Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo (You're my kind of girl)
Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo (Hey yo)
'Cause that's my peeps, and we rolls deep
Flyin' first class from New York City to Blackstreet
What you know about me? Not a m-f- thing
Cartier wooden frames sported by my shorty
As for me, icy gleaming pinky diamond ring
We be's the baddest clique up on the scene
Ain't you getting bored with these fake ass broads?
I shows and proves, no doubt, how predictably so
Please excuse, if I come across rude, that's just me
And that's how the playette's got to be
Stay kickin' game with a capital G
Ask the peoples on my block, I'm as real as can be
Word is bond, faking moves never been my thing
So, Teddy, pass the word to your n- Chauncy
I be sending the call, let's say around 3:30
Queen Pen and Blackstreet, it's no diggity
No diggity, no doubt baby
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up (Girl, you got it going on)
I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up
(Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo) I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up
(Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo) I like the way you work it
No diggity, I got to bag it up
Yeah, come on
Maggie in full effect
Lisa in full effect (Right)
Biggie in full effect (Uh huh)
Tamika in full effect (Yeah)
Blaze in full effect (Right)
Ain't nothin' goin' on but the rent (No doubt)
Yeah, play on, playette
(Play on, playette)
Play on (play on) play on (Play on)
'Cause I like it (Right)
No diggity, no doubt, yeah
(Blackstreet productions)
We out, we out (Right)
We out, we out

I know right. I can't stand most of the new style rap these days. I'm a total 90s girl for rap.
I just come back to it time to time. Not sure what it is... ofcourse it is an amazing song. When you compare this song to the current crap, it is just miles ahead. Maybe why I keep coming back to it.

I’m still a child, but when I tell you, my family and I live everyday like the 2000’s. I mean it. We all listen to Gospel, R&B and HipHop. And this, this is a masterpiece right here.
This song gives me nostalgia! I was in elementary school when it came out. It’s still 🔥🔥🔥

Real OG!
