  • It is shocking to find that Assassin's Creed 2 released all the way back in 2009 actually has some physics elements that are better than Assassin's Creed Mirage released in 2023. #assassinscreedmirage #assassinscreed #assassinscreed2

    In the first ones defense, it looks far more sturdy than AC2 platforms. The ones in AC2 are thin, both rope and board wise, but those ones in AC Mirage look reinforced with thicker rope.

      that's not how physics work tho

    • @IDRlFTERI
      @IDRlFTERI  8 місяців тому +2

      True, believe it or not I even did some calculations to figure how it would behave because of the way it's hanged, the one in AC 2 looks like it should actually move like that but in Mirage not so much. But the reality is (at least as far as I understand- I've studied advanced level physics in college tho) the one in Mirage should move but not as far as it does in AC2.
      If you look closely you can see that in AC2 the point where the ropes are tied together is about the height of Ezio but in Mirage it's about double the height of Basim.
      Now imagine if it's tied way closer to the platform, more than that of AC2. The platform would surely tilt way more and could possibly triple Ezio down. So when the angle between the platform and the ropes are lower it should tilt more but what if it's 90 degrees and hung with individual ropes and the ropes wouldn't stretch, then the platform wouldn't tilt at all. So Mirage is in-between these two scenarios closer to the 90 degrees one, so it would tilt but not as much it does in AC2, Attack Titan

      @@Pyrodorah That would still do fuck all. It's not a fixed object, it swings. And if you jump on it, it will swing and tilt a little.

    How the hell does a game released 14 years ago have dome of the beat parkour in the franchise than the newest games? I’m not hating on it since i’ve honestly been enjoying mirage, but unfortunately it is undeniable that the parkour, one of AC’s signature features has degraded highly

      @Stealthful_ 8 місяців тому

      @@Yoda3000 Japan wasn't necessarily a good place for parkour. There's a lot of open spaces, which is one of the reasons Ubisoft refused to make an AC game set in Japan quite some time ago. Now, things have changed, and since Codename Red will be the "next big RPG" Assassin's Creed game, it will most likely be like Valhalla in terms of open spaces.

    These small comparision is good to be noticed .. But does it really matter .... Did that small physics detail Affect any of the good gameplay and not so good story ...
    People shouldn't get upset on this and just enjoy this game

    • @IDRlFTERI
      @IDRlFTERI  8 місяців тому +1

      Of course not I did definitely notice it while playing both of the games but it didn't affect the enjoyability of the game, I'm enjoying Mirage way more than I thought I would. But it's also the fact that devs don't put much attention to detail as they have done before is kind of also sad. For example I remember well that in Origins Bayek's clothes get wet corresponding to the level he was deep in the water, it was not perfect but it was there. But in Mirage this happens only if Basim's full submerged or like after the swimming mechanics get triggered

      @@zenthous9568 the video's title suggests a 14-year gap between the two games and the thumbnail hints at a physics comparison. And when viewers watch the video, they'll discover that one of the physics elements has been downgraded over the years. It's important to note that I didn't mention anywhere that other aspects of the games are bad. In fact, just by looking at the video, you can see that the graphic quality has improved significantly, and the overall smoothness of animations has also seen a substantial enhancement.
      I see your point, but it's more about how some people jump to conclusions based on assumptions rather than how the video is presented. I've responded to everyone who made such assumptions by highlighting that Mirage is not a bad game at all. @@IDRlFTERI I just think that in nearly every case the title ‘these two games are 14 years apart’ always implies the older game being portrayed as better without fair representation through one feature. It doesn’t make sense to make a video about downgrading something irrelevant to the core gameplay like leaf physics or something, because it paints a picture that you think this game is superior. this may not be intentional but a lot of other people do similar videos which definitely do

      Realistic enough, though what you said about it not affecting gameplay is true. Games can't have 100% realistic physics, just like with graphics.
