Void the engine warranty on the Caddy and it will go faster! Either way both of these cars are winners and you can have a LOT of fun in a "family car!"

According to most, the speed & handling that you're able to achieve in a Hellcat. Is suppose to be impossible. No other car manufacturer in history has done it, & probably won't try. We're talking about a 4500 lbs that is being compared to or against all others cars that are 500 lbs less or more. With only a 50hp difference. And people are still finding a reason to say that the Hellcat is slow or can be beaten. But can't seem to find a car to beat it by any other manufacturer it's size. C7 smoked, GT350R smoked, Cobra smoked, ZL1 smoked CtsV smoked. Only rival is a Z06 Auto, cause the manual will get smoked too.

To make a car that was going to be or could be daily driven & perform as it should on the street. The other manufacturers are building track cars that most owners will mostly be on the street. Because you got seasoned track car owners with cars that specifically setup for track purposes only. And they're not worried about gas mileage. So it's really a lose/lose situation. I've had both so I'll be 100 percent honest. the third gen CTS V which came out in 16 released the 640hp 6.2 l V8 with the Eaton supercharger. so yes it is supercharged. its the Zo6 Corvette engine put in the caddy. The Hellcat is a faster car.. PERIOD.. now if your looking to compare them as in ride quality as in a smoother quieter ride and more of a luxurious car then yes the CTSV wins in that department. the CTSV will handle a little better then the hellcat but it depends what your looking to get out of a car.. I am very impressed with the Challenger HELLCATs driveability and performance as in slalom. it handles better then most believe and takes turns very well for a big muscle car. I keep hearing that it's just good for a straight line well that is not true and for those who think the Hellcat is just good for a straight line run I ask you this,,!! ,( which other way do you expect your car of choice to go and to perform besides a straight line run??? are you planning on just taking high speed turns and race for Nascar with it?? The Hellcat is a faster car built for track and street. Cadillac CTS V is a luxury sports car with a Vette Zo6 motor. so if you wanted to take your stock 2016/2017 CTS V to the track and put some slicks on it and try tracking it then I will tell you that you will be replacing that rear end after a couple runs. The CTS-V top speed is 200 mph with the stock 640 hp. If you add a cold intake, Exhaust and Programmer you can get 739 hp and 0-60 in 2.7!! Top speed 208. I know because it’s my car! Love my CTS-V

When it comes to low speed stunt driving the Hellcat is top lion but if you want to harness the power of real American muscle and go around a corner at the same time - CTS-V send the Dodge back to the litter box. We have both cars and I find myself going towards the CTS-V everytime unless i want to wake the town up...then the Hellcat is cooler

The Hellcat is a drag strip car, not a sports sedan. It's slower than A Mustang GT on a track with over 200 less hp. The Hellcat is hardly the better car if handling matters to the buyer. The CTS-V will outpeform a Hellcat on a track by a wide margin, because it's a real sports sedan designed with handling in mind. The "better" car depends on what the buyer wants.
The gap from 4th to 5th in that 8L90e GM trans is significant. Watched many a Z06 or V hang until hitting 5th, then they fall on their faces. Some good discussions on Vette forums about it...hope incoming 10 speed as a tight spread across the entire gearset.
Stock Z06's, H/C Challengers and most other cars in that power range, seem to pull ~143-146 at this strip. The CTS-V got 146...on the high side of what i was expecting. I did NOT expect the Charger to pull a 152... was it stock?
Would rather pay more and have a better interior , since that is where u will spend 100% of your time. You can make anything faster but you can't change quality . I'll take something German. M5 OR EVEN a E63s .....hell even a RS7 performance
when people talk about cars, the first thing that comes to mind is, what kind of engine it has and how fast does it go. so turning; which the hellcats does well, is going to be the last thing in the real world. if anyone is going 85 miles an hour and turns on a street going too fast doesn't matter how good it turns, it's still going crash (driver 1st, car second), even the best car can wreck. so straight line performance at a red light or on the interstate meaning business and the hellcats got that (Hellcat gets the torch). I always have love for Cadillac. my first car and love was a Cadillac then the STS, then CTS 09 came out😍. now those big beautiful LX vehicles(aka charger, 300, challenger, hellcats) are my favorite since 2010.

First of all, street racing is stupid. That said, a guy that spends $80K on a track car can also afford to take it to a track. I've raced at tracks along with the prev gen V...seen this new one there too. My point is not to discredit the Hellcat because it's badass...but it's a drag strip performer, which is cool if that's all you like to do. For others, the V is designed for the track and that's where the Hellcat can't touch it.

When it comes to low speed stunt driving the Hellcat is top lion but if you want to harness the power of real American muscle and go around a corner at the same time - CTS-V send the Dodge back to the litter box. We have both cars and I find myself going towards the CTS-V everytime unless i want to wake the town up...then the Hellcat is cooler

The Hellcat is a drag strip car, not a sports sedan. It's slower than A Mustang GT on a track with over 200 less hp. The Hellcat is hardly the better car if handling matters to the buyer.
The CTS-V will outpeform a Hellcat on a track by a wide margin, because it's a real sports sedan designed with handling in mind. The "better" car depends on what the buyer wants.

The gap from 4th to 5th in that 8L90e GM trans is significant. Watched many a Z06 or V hang until hitting 5th, then they fall on their faces. Some good discussions on Vette forums about it...hope incoming 10 speed as a tight spread across the entire gearset.

Stock Z06's, H/C Challengers and most other cars in that power range, seem to pull ~143-146 at this strip. The CTS-V got 146...on the high side of what i was expecting. I did NOT expect the Charger to pull a 152... was it stock?

It is stock. Chargers are a bit more aerodynamic. Guys have done that before.
That particular Charger Hellcat seems a bit slow for a stock one. They are normally faster.
Would rather pay more and have a better interior , since that is where u will spend 100% of your time. You can make anything faster but you can't change quality . I'll take something German. M5 OR EVEN a E63s .....hell even a RS7 performance
when people talk about cars, the first thing that comes to mind is, what kind of engine it has and how fast does it go. so turning; which the hellcats does well, is going to be the last thing in the real world. if anyone is going 85 miles an hour and turns on a street going too fast doesn't matter how good it turns, it's still going crash (driver 1st, car second), even the best car can wreck. so straight line performance at a red light or on the interstate meaning business and the hellcats got that (Hellcat gets the torch). I always have love for Cadillac. my first car and love was a Cadillac then the STS, then CTS 09 came out😍. now those big beautiful LX vehicles(aka charger, 300, challenger, hellcats) are my favorite since 2010.

Not smoked at all, a few mph in a half isn't a big difference. Besides, that Hellcat is a one trick pony and a straight line is the only thing it's fast in. Take them to a track and see who's slow.

First of all, street racing is stupid. That said, a guy that spends $80K on a track car can also afford to take it to a track. I've raced at tracks along with the prev gen V...seen this new one there too.
My point is not to discredit the Hellcat because it's badass...but it's a drag strip performer, which is cool if that's all you like to do. For others, the V is designed for the track and that's where the Hellcat can't touch it.
