A number of you have noticed my P365 cost breakdown mistake. My notes say that I was looking at paying $500 for the P365 + $215 for an optic cut and shipping, still totaling at $715. I'm not sure where the $684 base price came from haha! Thanks for noticing, and I'll pin this comment in hopes that the cost breakdown makes more sense :)
I got my Sig P365X with Romeo Zero on sale for $590 delivered from Battle Hawk Armory. I have both the regular P365 and the P365X as an upgrade. Still trying to get use to the red dot though. I find that when I aim, I have to look around for the red dot. I guess I'm used to looking for the front sight instead. I probably need more practice with the red dot. How do you like the red dot on your P365X compared to the standard P365?
I've been shooting in competition since I was ten. I was a gunsmith for quite a few years. I'm 63 years old. Ma'am, you have a good head on your shoulders for this. I have small hands for a man and I've learned more usable information on carry guns from you than anyone else to this point. Thankyou!
I installed my WC grip module a cpl days ago on my xl and although I was comfortable using the stock grip after using the new WC module I'm 10x more confident. I chose the xl because I have large hands (xxl in gloves) and it was just large enough to fit in my hand while still being a smaller carry pistol. Well the new module I feel was made for my hand. My grip has improved so my accuracy and follow up shots have too. Excellent job WC.
@@richstevens5727 That’s actually really cool to hear! I’ve been considering their grip module, but had seen some mixed reviews. So thanks for sharing that. I’ve been looking into ways to really get all I can out of this little gun, and I think that might be getting added to the list 👍🏻
@@tessahbooth thanks! I was actually considering selling the XL but figured if I customized it a bit more to my personal preferences i could make it work. I'm glad i did. It may or may not work for you or someone with smaller hands but it was the perfect upgrade for me. I've since installed the holosun 507k and waiting on my tlr-7 sub along with a Trex arms holster that's light compatible so I'd better love it now! 🤦♂️😂
@@tessahbooth Boresight solutions grip modules with the razorback hump are excellent if pricey. Not sure if the extra volume is needed for your hand size, but I found it to be a real game changer for me. Ended up with both an XL and standard one, and like you prefer the standard for deep carry with the Enigma, mainly because the flared magwell interferes with concealment and my draw.
This is a great time in history for compact carry pistols. Lots of choices and lots of excellent firearms in those choices. I have all three, and none of them disappoint. I understand the inherent difficulties of finding a carry handgun for a small frame. My daughter is petite, about your size. She carries the 365 and seems very happy with the choice as she has not mentioned any desire to replace it. She practices a lot. We have always preached learning one's manual of arms, and becoming competent and comfortable with one's carry weapon. It is serious business that should not be taken lightly. The care and consideration you have given your choice shows great character. You are a good example for anyone considering carrying concealed.
The great thing about the P365 is for some reason they are easy to handle(For most people) and the accuracy, seems to be positive-at least with the folks I have spoken to. New and long time shooters!!.
Just bought one for my wife, she absolutely loves the P365 X with Red Dot over her Hellcat. Being it was an anniversary gift, I also got her a Glock 19 MOS.
I’m about to sell my hellcat to get a sig! How does your wife like the way it shoots in comparison? Not a fan of the hellcat. Can’t decide between the X or the XL!
@@hayleyhuber3415 If you are trying to decide on the X or XL, first you have to ask yourself how are you going to carry it? If pocket or concealed carry, then I would go with the X. The X has the same grip as the XL, just a shorter barrel. Home defense, the XL.
The Sig P365x is an excellent CCW pistol. It’s small and has a lot of capacity for its size, features, and reliability, making it one of the best CCW pistols.
I own and carry 2 versions of the 365 ... The 365 and the 365xl with Sigs Romeo1 on it. The 365Xl when going out shopping in a crowed area where I know the Red Dot will be more precise and the 365 when just out and about. The only thing I wish is that the Magazines were inter changeable but thats not to be.
This channel is so helpful. I’m a pretty small guy 5’1 and was carrying a P320x that I felt was still to big for conceal carry. Ended up looking at the P365x W/the Romeo zero and my god is it like night and day for me when it comes to concealment and comfort. Thanks for the great content.
What ever made you buy the p320? It looks to me like an oversized clunky paperweight to me next to the P365! 😆 Think I'll go with the P365XL as my main carry and the P365X as #2 and Summer Duty. Might be time to retire my HK P7 except for maybe the rare Special Open Carry Occasions...
I bought a standard P365 after they solved the striker issue. Two 12 rnd mags gave me an X without the X frame. Bought the Wilson standard grip module and tungsten weights. Best of all worlds.
Always love how informative you are. Thanks for breaking down the pricing, it helps shoppers realize that guns shouldn't be just an impulse buy. Keep up that great work and see you on the next one
I carry the Sig P365X every day and find it to be the perfect CCW pistol for me. I have the Holosun 407k mounted and carry it in a Tenicor Velo4 appendix holster. I am 5'11" 160lbs, lean and fit and find this combination to be the best for my frame and the way I carry. I've added the Magguts kits to my magazines and feel the included baseplates really help to make it fit perfectly in my hand, plus the added +2 capacity is a no brainer to me. I've carried the original Shield, G43, Hellcat and all of these have been overshadowed and replaced by the P365X that just does everything better for me! Thanks for the great videos as always!
Unrelated to the P365X, (in my personal opinion) your channel is doing a GREAT service of inspiring more women to protect themselves. Love it! God Bless.
I haven't watched the video yet but I saw the title of the video and thought I give my reasons I bought the P365X over both the P365 and P365XL (cause I know everyone has been waiting for my opinion). It's pretty simple, the XL is to big and the longer barrel is unnecessary and doesn't make a big enough difference to make up for the gun being bigger. The P365 is almost perfect but my 2 fingers don't fit on the handle and makes it quite a difference when I I try to pull it out quickly and take aim. So the P365X warrants having a slightly bigger gun to conceal carry and I don't even notice the difference when carrying IWB. If I had smaller hands I would absolutely go with the P365. I love that Sig gave everyone options to have the right fit for themselves.
I agree with you, at the point of getting the XL, why not just get a bigger better gun with a 4-5 inch barrel. Mid size guns have no place for me. Its either CCW or fully combat size, I don't see where the grey area is better in any scenerio. I don't see where a mid-size gun fits. I have big hands, and have the P365, but the extended 12 round mags should fill that purpose. Sucks they are 46 dollars though.
@@brooktech7869 I have shot all 3 and for me (could be different for everyone) the difference between the regular size p365 and the p365X with the longer grip but same size barrel fit my hand much better and I shot much better with it but the difference between the P365X and the P365XL with the longer barrel I shot the exact same so I didn't want to get a big barrel if I didn't have to and I could notice the size difference when I carried it so for me the P365X was the right choice. They all are going to be harder to shoot than a full size or even mid size gun so practicing is extremely important. I also own the FN 509 TC and it was way to big for me to comfortably carry all day but I can shot it much better than the P365X but I wasn't ever carrying it and it doesn't matter how good I can shoot with it if I never have it with me. I carry the P365X everyday and shoot it good enough to feel completely confident if I ever had to pull it out and use it. It's a delicate balance between size, accuracy, and comfortability. Everyone should find out what works for them even if it takes awhile to figure out
I started with the P365, but soon installed the XL grip module. I also made a 1.75 oz tungsten weight and added it to my P365 grip module and added a 2.0 oz tungsten weight to my XL grip module. It really helps to eliminate that floppy feeling when the magazine is near empty. The trigger felt gritty, so I polished the trigger bar where it contacts the sear and it made the trigger pull very smoothly. I prefer the curved trigger as it has more room to fit a gloved finger.
@Dean Hamack The MCarbo trigger spring reduces the trigger pull force from 7 lbs to 4 lbs! The P365 is a concealed carry gun, NOT a race gun!!!! The last thing that you want to do with a conceal carry gun is to reduce the required trigger pull force. The stock 7 lb trigger pulls seems just about right to me for carrying.
Thank you for this excellent and thorough review. I'm currently shopping my first CCW, and after shooting a standard P365, I have confidently landed in the P365 family...but a little overwhelmed by all the different models. Your lady's review has been very helpful to me!
SIG really hit it out of the park with this line of guns. The modularity of it enables so many people to put together the combination that works best for them, accommodating variances in hand size, body types, and strength for control. My XL feels like the gun was designed specifically for me. I can't imagine ever replacing it for my carry gun with anything else. The bar has been set so high. The Magguts +2 kit for the XL mags enables 14 rounds in the 12 round mags with no noticeable dimensional change to the length of the mag. I have had them loaded for 5 months at a time and took them shooting with zero issues with target and carry ammo. I am looking forward to your next video about what is not perfect for you with yours. I am wondering if it is just a lack of familiarity right now?

Can I ask how tall and heavy you are?? Heavily considering a 365xl but I’m 5’8” and ~160 lbs, worried it might be slightly big and debating on just getting the 365x
@@andrew_colin - I am a towering 5 feet, 6 inches, 165 pounds, lol. I have no problem concealing the XL. I added a Dr. Scholl's gel heel pad to my holster with velcro in order to tilt the top of the holster in closer to my torso. I recommend getting a wing on your holster too. I carry appendix at 12 o'clock.
I went with the X over the XL as well and I 100% do not regret my decision. It is such an amazing little pistol, coming from the P320 Carry, its perfect for a conceal carry alternative for me as the P320 was a big on the large side for carrying in the summer.
I agree Eric, I just picked up my 365X. I too am a carrier of the P320. It has some modifications with a great holster, but its massive to carry all the time. Especially in the summer. The 365X is just right and I can carry it with everything I wear.
I used to carry a Glock 42 as well and switched to a Sig P365 or a P365X and absolutely love the modularity! Just bought my wife a P365 .380 this past weekend too!
I bought the P365X for concealed carry. I ended up getting the XL for carry, and I will now use the X for pocket carry with a Vedder pocket locker. Both are fantastic pistols.
My dad just got the P365X with the red dot on it and I had to buy it for him. Flash forward a month and he took the sight off anyway lmao. He at least gave me the sight so thats good.
Currently debating between the X and XL, so I really found this video helpful! I think personally, I'll be going with the XL. Interesting to hear your considerations and this video was very well made!
XL is where it's at, my CDW. also 507k has built in rear iron sights, fyi. XL is slim, capable and even though I have large hands (added Talon rubber grips), can still manage well. also, I'll take the better ballistics from the longer barrel anyday, it means alot if you do the comparison. good luck. edit - also Wilson Combat has a grip module for $65 worth every penny..
I have the X and it awesome. The only benefit of the XL is a slight velocity increase and sight radius but I've got a Romeo zero on it so that doesn't really matter. They both have the same grip length so printing will be the same but you won't have to deal with the gun digging into you as much with a shorter barrel.
I went with the xl tac pac which came with 1-12 and 2-15 mags..and put a holosun 407k on it.. great gun, goes everywhere with me. I live in a cost. carry state so sometimes carry OWB with a paddle holster or if i really want it hidden I have a IWB I'll swap out. But honestly you cant go wrong with any of the 365's depending on hand size and what not or how you want to carry. All of them shoot really well.
I favor the XL over the X. Same height, both are optics ready, but the XL has a longer barrel, which helps with recoil and fps and a barrel is easy to conceal. Don't want a different grip module, myself.
This is such a well done video thank you. None of the meathead guy BS I usually have to suffer through as they done on about nonsense and then add cool gun guy background music. You are straight forward and informative , best review I have ever seen on the 365
Well I run a S&W M&P 2.0 and the mags generally speaking aren't much cheaper. Honestly one of the only aspects where I feel as if "maybe I should have gotten something with cheaper mags", but I'm happy with what I have.
Don’t forget. A 12 round mag in the standard grip module is basically the same as the xl/x grip module. That’s why I prefer the standard grip module because you can run a 10rd flush, 10rd pinky extension, 12rd, or 15. So it’s really easy to adjust concealment depending on clothing / weather. If you have a regular grip module it’s well worth owning a 10 and a 12. Btw I bought an enigma and a phlster pro holster based in part on your videos. It conceals the 365 really really well. Above my expectations.
That’s kinda my thought process to the regular 365 gives me more options. I usually run a 12 round anway. Although I am going to buy an xl slide and put a standard size Wilson combat module on my 365 so it will be a frankinstine in some regards. But mostly I carry a p10 c anyway so my 365 is just another carry option. I need a small gun that I shoot well. Not a medium gun which is what I already have. Everyone needs to do what works best for them. Glade we have so many options.
You put a lot of thought into your purchase and video. Thanks for that and not just buying a pistol just to advertise or just because someone else said so.
With the X you also get the $50 flat trigger. I have the regular P365 and am looking at the SAS slide as it points super naturally for me. I did pick up the Streamlight TLR-7 sub and that is a nice little light on it!
Sig is a great choice. I have both the 320c and the 365XL. I am an overweight 5'8" male and carry the 365XL at 9 o'clock (lefty). No one has spotted it concealed and it shoots great. You will love your Sig. Great choice.
I think you made the right decision also. The fact that if you ever wanted to shoot irons you can put the plate back on and since you have the 365 grip you can carry a 10 round flush mag. Best of both worlds in your case/needs.
I very much appreciate your explanation of the 34 on an average sized male vs a 48 on someone your size. It's interesting. My wife is in the market right now, and this is so helpful.
I’m a Sheriff Dep. We use the 320. I am a Glock lover. I just bought your exact set up with a light. Love my full size Sig. can’t wait to use this 365X for off duty EDC. Concealed
Interesting to hear your decision process. I ended up going the opposite way and got a Shield Plus longslide with a red dot and carry it with the short mag. I'm of average male height but have a thin waist and a programmer belly. I don't have a lot of real estate to work with and my belly pushes the gun out. The short mag and the red dot are just short enough to fit along the flat side of my gut at 1:30 and the slide just touches on my thigh when I sit. The extended mag prints so unless I decide I want to open carry it's going to be a spare. I can fit 2.75 fingers on the short mag so there aren't any controllability issues when firing. The Plus has a longer grip front to back than the P365 and just felt better in my hands. At the time S&W only offered an optic cut with a bundled Crimson Trace red dot that's not compatible with Holosun's footprint so I ordered a plain slide model and set it out to be milled.
I have both Shield Plus and 365 XL. I shoot S&W Shield variants quite a bit more accurately than P365 XL and I get depressed every time I think about it because I'm a lousy shot with P365 XL. I don't know why but every time I shoot 365 XL, my shots are just all over the place, typically too low or left-bottom of my intended target. With the S&W variants I have, my accuracy is generally around 80% in my guestimation. I'm still trying to figure out what it is about the P365 XL or what I'm doing wrong. Might need to sign up for training cuz this is just ridiculous.
So glad to hear a detailed review and the notes on concealed carry on a female body in relation to gun size. Currently also considering the p365 lineup and trying to decide which one 😊
As usual, it's all about preference. I had a 365X and upgraded it to a 365XL because I felt the XL shot better for me, but my absolute fav is my Shield Plus. But you found what works for you and that's what's most important. It's different for everyone.
The Shield Plus is a little girthier in the grip. It's a little longer front to back and more oval shaped. The P365 felt small in my hands but the Plus felt almost like a 1911, just about perfect. I bought a longslide Plus and it balances awesomely.
@@tessahbooth size aside, why would you have chosen the XL? I’m currently SO torn between the X and the XL. I’m a mom and bending over/ moving around a lot. My husband is worried the extra slide length will be uncomfortable but most say it’s not!
@@hayleyhuber3415 I would have gone for the XL over the X for the same reason I wen't for a Glock 48 over the 43x a little over a year ago. Two main reasons: 1) Generally, the longer slide is going to be more pleasant to shoot. I found that was true for the 43x/48 series, and I've heard that it's also true for the P365X/XL series as well. 2) Because of a thing called the "keel principle". Generally, a longer slide is going to be more comfortable than a shorter one, and often it's more concealable. That said, the XL slide might be a bridge too far depending on your body proportions. I'd be happy to help you navigate through that thought process a bit more, but I'd need to know more about how you plan to carry, what kind of clothing you wear frequently, your concealment expectations/requirements and your overall body proportions. I'd be happy to hash through that here in the comments section, or you can just shoot me an email including the info above :) (armedandstyledactual@gmail.com)
I know it's been a few years since you've posted this video but.... I must brag I went down the p365/ Lego rabbit hole and assembled a P365-380 X. Used XL frame with my regular P365-380 guts and slide and a extended magazine minus the sleeve. Stay safe young lady.
Much like you I started with Glock 42 for ultra small concealed carry and then went to a P365 (prior to other releases). Later as aftermarket accessories became available, I morphed it into a P365X because it just feels excellent to shoot. I highly recommend the Wilson combat Grip Module as it was a Game Changer for me! I also think you’re going to warm up to the trigger after some additional training time. I’ve grown to love my Sig tons! Great vid - Liked & Subscribed ;)
Excellent presentation. You are knowledgeable and well-informed, more so than simply opinionated. Your back story provides documented experience and objective analysis. My EDC is the 365X and I can't say enough good things about it. You just acquired another subscriber. Again, very well done. Thanks.
I got a 365x at the end of January. Already have 1100+ rounds through it and it's been flawless in terms of reliability. Couldn't get a good grip on the standard 365 and it was too snappy, and the X just seemed like the best of both. I did also shoot the XL and I definitely shot it better. The trigger is just awesome, but the front night sight died after a few weeks. Sig sent me another right away. And yes, the mags are annoying expensive lol
In the back of your mind should be the observation that Sigg shipped the first of the 365 series with the firing pin they knew would break in fairly short order. I have a Sigg 320 so far it works reliably 100% but just look around UA-cam occasionally Sigg turns out a real piece of garbage and you never really sure which one you’re going to get. Speaking of the North American branch of Sigg I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard a bad word about the European produced Sigs. It would seem they are the Swiss reputation is earned. But American executives telling their engineers it’s OK to ship a gun that’s likely to have issues should be at the back of your mind.
@@JelloweenTV that's a bummer. Hopefully the replacement will last. Since mine was just the front sight, I'm going to try to do it myself. Seems simple enough
Solid information. I’m coming from a Glock 43 and just wanting something with a little more capacity and a safety. I think the Sig P365X is going to be my route. I was considering the P365, but for that flat trigger, that added dovetail, and the added capacity of the P365X, it seems like a no brainer.
@@calvinnelsonjr6465 Its a large green circle with a dot, I find it allows me to get on target fast with two eyes open a large field of view . I use tritium night sights on my other carry options, but I do use the Holosun on the Sig
Great breakdown! Glad you found what works best for you right now. I am a Glock fanboy, but by no means beholden to any brand or product. Considering getting a Sig or Walther as my next pistol for my EDC rotation, and you mentioned something I’ve heard of briefly when you mentioned the trip modules. Sig seems to have that market cornered with their pistols….
I went with the p365x too. Don’t need a longer barrel on my deep concealment pistol. Didn’t go with the smaller grip because I realized I just don’t shoot it well because the grip is just a tad too small
Great review! Was exactly the info I’ve searched various threads and videos for. Earned a sub for sure and I’m sure my wife would find your perspective informative.
With all these considerations, I bet the. 380 P365 would be pretty good. Optics ready, smaller grip module, and lighter even. I'm not sure if they have extended mags yet though. It can use 9mm mags if necessary, but I wouldn't carry them!
Never did like the short slide/long grip combos that are in vogue these days. Going back to your G48 video the "keel principle" is a huge factor. I have a few stubborn pounds that make them prone to flipping forward out of my waistband. If I were to carry a P365 I'd likely go the opposite route and carry an XL with a standard grip. A sort of P365L.
I think the XL slide, with a standard grip would be a SUPER concealable option for the vast majority of people, and the longer slide would probably help mitigate some of the recoil experienced with the standard length slide. I do really love how modular and customizable the P365 series is.
"Vogue" aside, I bought and carried an XL before they offered the X. My hands are too big to grip the standard 365 plus the pinch point on the extended mags didnt impress me at all. The XL was immediately the best CCW I had carried to date. (And Ive been carrying CCW for three decades on and off the job). It was exceptionally concealable, had great capacity for such a small gun, and was typically high quality Sig in performance. The only complaint I had was that extra barrel length. I carry appendix and it could REALLY dig while seated for extended periods. Especially in a vehicle. Then they came out with the X and Viola! The PERFECT CCW IMO. I dont find its any different to shoot than the XL. In fact, the X balances much better in my hand than the XL. Not that it was a major problem atall, but the XL always felt a little nose heavy to me.
Thank you for the review,I had an original 365 but sold it ,my next purchase will be Sig p365X manual safety and putting a Wilson Combat grip on it .Glad to here that you like your 365X
I looked at the hellcat and hellcat pro, also the sig p365 , xl and x and felt the x was perfect feel in hand compared to all others, I Like the grip module but the smaller barrel size, the xl was nice just wasn’t a fan of the longer slide and barrel
After fitting her on several different pistols, we ended up buying the P365X-Macro for my wife. It fits both her hands and my bear paws (if the need arises). So many women in my classes with larger hands end up buying the P365 and find it too small due to the shorter grip length. Mag extensions help, but that X grip module is perfect. Great breakdown!
Don’t get jealous.. lol.. the Sig has out gun the Glock by now. Not gonna talk bad about the Glock since I have a 43x as well and it’s a great gun but the Sig is we’re is at now.
If you have time to practice with it before you carry, check out the Magguts +2 for P365x and XL. 14+1 in basically the same exact size as p365x. I haven't had any issues with them and it really helps me feel closer to my glock 19 while still staying at 41% concealment index
I love my standard P365 and it has become my everyday all day carry gun. It just meets all of my needs short of being able to conceal carry a rifle. I just wish Sig would make a 365 in 9mm that was optics ready but still allowed you to retain the rear sight in conjunction with an optic, which they appear to have done with their new .380 version. The difference between the Glock and Sig triggers seem to be a preference thing and getting time on with whichever you choose to go with. Just found your channel. I will check out some of your other content and will likely subscribe.
After renting the p365 and the standard Hellcat (both too small of a grip for me) at the range, I was trying to get my hands on the p365x and the Hellcat Pro. Both of these were hard to find. I finally found both of them in the same store at the same time and ended up with the Hellcat Pro. The grip just fit my hand better, but the p365x was a very close second. I carry it with the Enigma Express in a Hawg Holster. It’s the perfect setup for me. Thank you for all of your videos. You have helped me tremendously in my carry choices.
Probably after this video sig comes out with a 365 (380) optic ready . I would prefer 9mm but for a carry shoot once in a while . I might pick the 380 . To many choices lol .
I went from a Ruger LCR to the Sig P365 for several reasons, one being the magazine capacity. Another is ease of maintenance due to the takedown lever as opposed to the LCR's pin that I had to punch out. One big benefit of the LCR is its used sell price. It holds value very well. I agree with most of what Tessah said. I bought the P365 for simplicity vs. the X and XL. I really don't need optics to defend myself against someone charging at me. In fact, I think a .22 will defend me as no one I know will attack anyone with a gun is pointed at them. Even though they might be deranged, bullet holes with hollow points will stop just about anyone. 9mm hollow point is just additional insurance. I like the feel of the P365 in my hand and the trigger pull is phenomenal. The only thing I don't like about the P365 series is their magazines are harder than hell to load. I recommend buying a speed loader for any double packed magazine.
i went with the xl because most holsters i found are for the xl, and the x just fits in them. and if i'm going to be concealing that much holster anyways, there might as well be that much barrel in it
Really good video. Thanks for taking the time to put it up for me and everyone else. It's always nice to find videos and information that help us solve problems. Thx Tess
My 365x is my summer EDC, though I'm trying to fit my G19 or CZ P-07 into it. Obviously the size is the reason as it is easier to conceal, my issue is am not entirely comfortable with how SIG setup the internal safeties vs my Glock. The P-07 being DA/SA is a non issue on this matter and feel more comfortable having used the M11 a decades ago. One thing I learned in the military is shit happens, and I AIWB.
You should watch the video an engineer did dissecting the P365, it was pretty interesting to learn about how the gun actually functions and the design decisions Sig made for safety and redundancy. What are you worried about happening with the Sig that wouldn't/couldn't end up happening with the Glock? These firearms don't exactly "go off" on their own, I'm just curious where your anxiety around that comes from. If I can find the video I'll link it here

@@ShinaniGunz I have not seen a really bad review on them at all.....the only negative comment was one that said they felt the beavertail was too high throwing off a straight line to the trigger for them. It's in "the mail" just watching my tracking 😉 Thinking with the extra weight kit in the grip that will really balance it out well. Just had my VP9SK out comparing sizes......I really like the P365 in that respect even more.
@@cjbecker1683 if you haven’t already look up the MagGuts +2 magazine kit, I have one in my P365XL and it works flawlessly. Easy to load, no feed issues, doesn’t really extend the length of the magazine and it gives you 14+1 and that can’t be beat in such a small package.
@@ShinaniGunz I've been checking those out too......I was given a Cabela's gift card & the only non-overpriced pistol was the P365 so I researched this gun out for like 3 months before I bought it. My local guy had an X in stock but obviously my Cabela's gift card doesn't work there 😉 I have a Sig P938 SAS which is a great little gun but the P365 really impresses me. Mainly I'm a PPQ & VP series guy......now I have to buy more P365 mags 😒 Had Cabela's had the P30SK I want that's the gun I would have bought but I see zero complaints on the P365 it just feels great in the hand with a 12 round magazine.
I carry a P365 as my EDC (especially in summer, sometimes carry my P320 with Romeo1 Pro in winter with shoulder holster) .. I like my P365 just barebones (except for Hogue grip). Just stock iron sights and extended mag .. it is a fantastic EDC, I shoot it as well as my P320. My daughter liked mine so much I bought her one for her birthday. She loves it as well.
@@tessahbooth yeah it was super fun to shoot and my local gun shop is bringing me some cool guns to review and this was the 1st one. Really enjoy your channel, keep rockin it🤘
Outstanding Video! Most folks, even Sig folks do not know the subtle differences between those three guns. Sig should hire you to make a must see before purchasing clip. Lots of folks have had buyers remorse when they discovered the full range of options.
I like this lady facial expression as she discuss her choice and yes the 365 in any model is a great choice. FWIW I been to Big Tex Ordinace numerous times. They are like one of the best gun stores in SE Texas IMHO They have plenty of ammo and options for us TX gun owners.
Thank you, Great video. I own the same and several others. My struggle is I think I want a Wilson Combat on my Sig P365X. I love them on the standard P365. Please keep up with the great content.
Thank you for the video. I appreciate the clear presentation of your thought-out process & comparisons. I started carrying a Glock 43X, but then switched to a Sig P365X. They are extremely similar in size, but I like the Sig trigger & sights much better, and I appreciate having the manual safety. I love the Sig P365X on my frame. I generally carry AIWB, and I started carrying IWB at 3 o'clock. Occasionally, I do pocket carry (with DeSantis Superfly pocket holster) if wearing a winter coat (in Chicago). Like you, I also tried a standard P365 (non-X) grip module, and it was definitely more concealable (less printing at the end of the grip), but I was not comfortable with being able to get only 2 fingers on the grip. This affected my control for shooting such a snappy pistol (as all pistols of that size are, IMHO), and my ability to quickly get a secure grip when drawing from concealed carry. That non-X grip module might have been better if I had smaller hands. For reference, I'm a man with medium hands, 5'6', 200lbs (portly), with some arthritis in the hands. I also have the MagGuts upgrades for both the Sig P365 & P365X magazines. They replace the follower, spring & base plate, and you get 2 extra rounds. I love how modular is Sig's P365-line. I tried a few grip modules for grip, comfort, and aesthetics, and finally settled on the Wilson Combat grip (for both P365 & P365X). My wife hates the WC grip because the aggressive texture is harsh on her hands. It's fine for defensive use, but her hands are sore after 4 mags at the range. I looked at the all-metal grip modules (e.g. Icarus, and others), but I didn't try them due to the cost. I generally carry concealed with the Wilson Combat P365X grip module and MagGuts-enhanced Sig "X" mags (total 14+1), but it's nice to have the option of using the non-X grip module & mags if needed for enhanced concealment. Switching the grip modules now take less than a minute. For my (men's) pockets, the P365 (non-X) configuration definitely qualifies as a "pocket" pistol.
I switch between my custom p320 compact and my p365X that I built and it’s a fantastic EDC. I used to have a Hellcat in my EDC rotation but have since cut that out of the mix and just kept the p365 and P320 compact. Awesome EDC
Excellent info here. Thank you!✌🏻👊🏻 I’m male, 5.5 and 130 lbs with small/medium hands so this is very helpful. I’m getting rid of my G-43 and trying to choose the right 365 for me. Thanks again….👊🏻
Glad to help! This video compares them all side by side: ua-cam.com/video/zaO1ZtR6lnc/v-deo.html The last time card in that video could be especially helpful for you. There are actually very few circumstances where I would recommend the P365X over the XL. Really, the only time I’d recommend the P365X over the XL is if someone wanted an optics ready standard P365. Otherwise, go with the P365 or the XL 👍🏻
Considering my size and how I casually dress, I consider myself a smaller framed guy at 5'9". Have carried a 43 for a number of years and the biggest consideration i have while looking for higher round cap, is realistic size comparison. Awesome info. Thanks
You convinced me to use the Sig P365X 🙂But how much I enjoyed watching you talking about the SIG P365X I would love to see you shooting with Benelli M4 or Beretta 1301 🙂Greetings from Poland
My EDC is a Sig 226. The 365 didn't fit in my hand the way I wanted. I paid $60 for an extended factory mag... You're correct that they're proud of their stuff.
I had a 1st gen P365 several years ago but when they first came out they manufactured them with too narrow of a feed ramp. Got about 9 out of 50 failures to feed with certain brands of ammo. That was enough for me, I immediately sold it. Started carrying a sig p320 X compact after that and loved it! But I couldn’t ever find a comfortable way to appendix carry with about 6 different holsters. After about 2hours it would start to get very uncomfortable. That was causing me to leave my firearm at home more often because I didn’t want to be uncomfortable that day. I was fully planning on going back to the 365(xl this time) since they worked out all the kinks but I changed my mind. I just picked up a Shadow Systems CR920 Elite, I had a chance to shoot one before I got mine and absolutely love it! I’m just as accurate with the CR920 as I am any full size pistol. Beaver tail sticks out more and sits higher than the Glock 42/43/43x/48, so the recoil is much more manageable and and feels more stable. They took all the great things about Glock and improved them. They reengineered the smaller Glock mag so you get 13+1 in a gun with an almost identical footprint/width of a G43. Have you had a chance to shoot one yet? I’m loving it, easier to conceal, more comfortable to carry, and 13+1. If you can get your hands on one you should do a review on it!
Gotta love a SIG. I enjoy your opinions on your videos and very seriously considering the sig x macro 380 for my wife, and of course me breaking it in. Might I suggest that when you are describing certain things about holsters carrying features or pistol parts that you picture those items for those who may be new or not completely understand the features of such. Thank you and keep making good videos.
Just switched to a P365X as my EDC. During winter months I CC my M&P 2.0 but in the summer months I usually carry my Glock 43. I'm going with the P365X now. It's an awesome sidearm to have on me.
I chose the 365XL and I'm damn glad I did. I love going out and shooting it. I'm not bagging on your choice, you have to do what's right for you, having choices is a good thing.
I have a similar problem. I have a hard time buying pants that fit. I am 5-8" and weigh 112-115 lbs. I print easy. I was really happy to try and love the P365. I bought the P365 before there were options. I bought a 12 round mag, so that works well. I am glad you were able to find a tool that works for you, and feel that "Not everyone in the world" knows you have one on you-(Most of the time it is in our heads)-and no one knows. It is a great feeling.
Of course I went the other way. I found myself carrying the 365 with 12 rounders always. (grown man) I built and named mine the P365X before Sig was selling that package. I had my slide milled and mounted a HS507k, before Sig was selling the premilled slides for the shorter format. I was just 1 step ahead of Sig through all of this. I ultimately did the MCARBO trigger and springs as well as the Magguts +2 mag kit. I am SOOOOO happy with this set up. Just awesome. The 365 is amazing right out of the box. Mine is even more amazing-ER now. Love the 365.
We all know that 1 is none and 2 is one. So my LGS had this crazy deal. P365 with 3 12 rounders and a (crap) holster for $500. OK, now I have two. Love them.
Nice video! You said you shout the X better than the standard. To me that means you should carry the X.
@@ShawnGS300 that’s the price I am seeing for optics ready versions here in Texas to.
Inflation or supply n demand was my guess lol
I’ll buy your Glock 48
I've been shooting in competition since I was ten. I was a gunsmith for quite a few years. I'm 63 years old. Ma'am, you have a good head on your shoulders for this. I have small hands for a man and I've learned more usable information on carry guns from you than anyone else to this point. Thankyou!

Now it's time for a grip module.
Got lucky buying mine on release so I didn’t have to wait for a backorder, and it is a massive improvement over the stock grip!
*cries in California*
Just bought one for my wife, she absolutely loves the P365 X with Red Dot over her Hellcat. Being it was an anniversary gift, I also got her a Glock 19 MOS.
Those are some solid choices!
I’m about to sell my hellcat to get a sig! How does your wife like the way it shoots in comparison? Not a fan of the hellcat. Can’t decide between the X or the XL!
@@hayleyhuber3415 She loves the X but she loved the Hellcat when she first got it and shoots it well. She now loves the X more, but kept them both.
Have yall tried the hell cat pro?
@@hayleyhuber3415 If you are trying to decide on the X or XL, first you have to ask yourself how are you going to carry it? If pocket or concealed carry, then I would go with the X. The X has the same grip as the XL, just a shorter barrel. Home defense, the XL.
The Sig P365x is an excellent CCW pistol. It’s small and has a lot of capacity for its size, features, and reliability, making it one of the best CCW pistols.
10000% Agreed.
I carry mine every day, I originally had the SAS but the mags just kept catching on my palms during reloads
Just bad with people with large hands it's hard to shoot that little thing
@@retrowave9536 Grip tape works wonders
This channel is so helpful. I’m a pretty small guy 5’1 and was carrying a P320x that I felt was still to big for conceal carry. Ended up looking at the P365x W/the Romeo zero and my god is it like night and day for me when it comes to concealment and comfort. Thanks for the great content.
Brah, I’m about 5’3” but I got the standard P365 Grip with a Spectre comp slide and holosun 507k.
It’s fucking amazing
What ever made you buy the p320?
It looks to me like an oversized clunky paperweight to me next to the P365! 😆
Think I'll go with the P365XL as my main carry and the P365X as #2 and Summer Duty.
You bought two sig magazines rich boi!
Always love how informative you are. Thanks for breaking down the pricing, it helps shoppers realize that guns shouldn't be just an impulse buy. Keep up that great work and see you on the next one
P365X was my first and current EDC. As a new gun owner, thanks for justifying my purchase! Added a Romeo Zero, love it.
My store had all three variants and the X was a nice middle ground, couldn’t be more happier.
Love it! God Bless.
Loving the new text overlay, it really gives your channel the unique pop it may have been missing!
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

If you add a black outline and or shadow around it, it'll be readable without any strain no matter the background.
Everyone should find out what works for them even if it takes awhile to figure out
Hit the nail on the head with mag prices!!!
My sig P226 tac-ops chambers in .40, luckily came with 4 mags because in 2010 they were $80 a pop.
7lbs is too much for me. 4lbs is perfect. 1lb is race.
@@aniya8759 , I hope that you are using a manual trigger safety with such a light trigger pull.
I live in CT, I wonder if I could buy magguts for mine because we are communists and are only allowed 10rd mags

@@christopherfrazier8710 I have the P320 M18. Size wise is it the same as the carry? Is the grip in the 365x close to the 320?
@@six6footnot even close. It’s almost half the size.

As someone in market for their first handgun this is very informative, thanks for the info and cost breakdown.
@@stevev1758 I like the slim feel of the original grip. How much does this increase the width?
I love my XL
This is what I carry and I have been waiting for this video! Good job
I favor the XL over the X. Same height, both are optics ready, but the XL has a longer barrel, which helps with recoil and fps and a barrel is easy to conceal. Don't want a different grip module, myself.
Yea i dont know why any one would get the x over the xl. Simply better ballistics and has the same concealability.
Extremely informative! Thank you for sharing the information and conclusions gathered from all the work you put in!
Not everybody wants to break their grip during mag changes especially when speed matters.
Thx. A well thought out review, and informative.
Totally agree. Honestly if size hadn’t been a factor then I would have definitely gone for the XL over the X!
Thanks.
hate to pick and compair, so I bought all of them, x, xl and 320 max
excellent video. Have also migrated to the SIG P365X as an EDC. Went through pretty much the same process as you did.
@Frank Bonazza III I was looking at these. They seem to be sold out just about everywhere I've looked.
My night sights stopped working too. Gotta get it shipped out so they can replace it for me
@@JelloweenTV Tritium loses it's charge over time? How old is the gun?
@@JelloweenTV that's a bummer. Hopefully the replacement will last. Since mine was just the front sight, I'm going to try to do it myself. Seems simple enough
Solid information. I’m coming from a Glock 43 and just wanting something with a little more capacity and a safety. I think the Sig P365X is going to be my route. I was considering the P365, but for that flat trigger, that added dovetail, and the added capacity of the P365X, it seems like a no brainer.
P365x with a Holosun has moved up to the lead off spot on my conceal rotation, moving my FN 509c to second place. The Sig prints a little less.
If somebody is attacking you at 5 feet what’s a red dot for???
@@calvinnelsonjr6465 Its a large green circle with a dot, I find it allows me to get on target fast with two eyes open a large field of view .
I use tritium night sights on my other carry options, but I do use the Holosun on the Sig
I just came across this video. Very informal. I have a short attention span, but your quick talking and Hotness! Helped.
Thank you for your insight. I have my decision procedure, but I welcome others perspectives, and there are bound to be points I didn't think of.
I went with the p365x too. Don’t need a longer barrel on my deep concealment pistol. Didn’t go with the smaller grip because I realized I just don’t shoot it well because the grip is just a tad too small
"dont need a longer barrel cause its for deep concealment"..... proceeds to get bigger printing grip :D
An excellent data and logic driven approach. Brilliant!
I just bought a friend’s 365 and I picked up the 365xl grip module. It conceals super easy. I can’t wait to take it to the range.
Standard P365 is $499 all day long even at the big box like Cabela's & the X was $599 when in stock.
Thank you for the review,I had an original 365 but sold it ,my next purchase will be Sig p365X manual safety and putting a Wilson Combat grip on it .Glad to here that you like your 365X
I looked at the hellcat and hellcat pro, also the sig p365 , xl and x and felt the x was perfect feel in hand compared to all others, I
Like the grip module but the smaller barrel size, the xl was nice just wasn’t a fan of the longer slide and barrel
I am curious to know if you tried a 43x mos. I carry 48 mos most of the time. But when I want something smaller,
I carry 43x. It works for me.
Don’t get jealous.. lol.. the Sig has out gun the Glock by now. Not gonna talk bad about the Glock since I have a 43x as well and it’s a great gun but the Sig is we’re is at now.
@@Javservice GLOCK still sells more guns than Sig. I have both GLOCK's and Sig like them both.
YES! Some one who talks money 💰 and practicality. Nicely done
If you have time to practice with it before you carry, check out the Magguts +2 for P365x and XL. 14+1 in basically the same exact size as p365x. I haven't had any issues with them and it really helps me feel closer to my glock 19 while still staying at 41% concealment index
same! Magguts for the win. 14+1 is amazing.
I actually moved from carrying the Glock 42 to the P365. I then bought X modules and optics ready slides and now exclusively run 1 of my 2 P365Xs.
The make the sig p365 x with optic
The 380 is really interesting to me!
@@tessahbooth I enjoy your videos, I am waiting for you to figure out that the right answer is a Staccato C2
@@tmgjurassic3738 You miiiight be waiting a while, that’s a pretty huge gun for someone my size to be carrying 😄
@@tessahbooth I forget because I am the size of a gorilla, maybe the C? When you shoot one you will hate the Sig.

The P365x is how Sig should have designed the firearm from the beginning. I had the original P365 and bought the XL grip module the moment they started selling them separately. @@cjbecker1683 you’re going to enjoy the Wilson Combat grip module.
Another Sig convert. Good job. The 365 is fantastic in any iteration. Hear the .380 is super smooth too
I just reviewed the New SIG P322. Great pistol and great to train new shooters. 365 is a great all around gun! Great choice.

They are like one of the best gun stores in SE Texas IMHO
They have plenty of ammo and options for us TX gun owners.
Excellent video on someone new to considering get sig sauer p365 series!
You are awesome! Very informed and well spoken, keep it up!!
I switch between my custom p320 compact and my p365X that I built and it’s a fantastic EDC. I used to have a Hellcat in my EDC rotation but have since cut that out of the mix and just kept the p365 and P320 compact. Awesome EDC
Excellent info here. Thank you!✌🏻👊🏻

The last time card in that video could be especially helpful for you.
Thanks

Thanks fir video .. it has helped with my research for better options for the women in my life.
Thanks! You should check out my more recent videos on the p365 series. I think you’ll find those to be much more helpful 😊
Love them.
Good choice the Sig P365 X. I bought one a few months ago. I love it. Great pistol for CCW and it shoots great. One of my favs for CCW.
