If they were to want to say 'upgrade' a P Bass to have something like a series, parallel switch then I say it would be better for today's market. The P Bass has a very good distinct tone but it's still a one trick pony. The Jazz Bass can do more in terms of tonal variation, with its 2 pickups. I like both, the P and the J ... one is not better than the other BUT fact is the J with 2 pickups is more attractive to market, aesthetically and tonaly. 😊
Of course 80% of the demo is played so low in volume you can barely hear it! Where, where else can you find those features……pretty much every other bass out there!
