I love the kind of stuff Cici was playing there. I cannot believe how good value these basses are. As a guitar player, I have one shockingly poor quality bass from way back time back. I'm tempted to upgrade it to one of these £500 Sires.
That would be great. I can take a little bit of a guess based on the tones and what I can see zooming in on the back of the board. Ehx Mel9, CCK Space Station, and Morley volume pedal doing most of the hard work. But there were others clearly from when she ends the solo and hits several switches off including some type of buffer mute up front. Would be great if anyone else could recognize anything there.
At the moment I’ve got the Sutton Instruments Del Fuego bass fuzz/boost, 90s Morley wah, Mel 9, CKK space station pro, Dr. StrangeFuzz by Hubcap John, Polara by Digitech, Ditto looper! :)
Lovely playing guys, really gelling together and great to see some Sire gear featured, love my Sire basses. Also, if you want to learn about Cici's pedalboard, go visit her channel!
I agree ... the Sire standard headstock is the sore point really ... i also think the qc is dipping as i experienced plenty of troubles with a co p8 .. had to return it ... i own a v10 n a v7 i defretted ... this is the first time i had grief with a Sire product ... i currently own 3 basses n 2 guitars ... i like the look of the pink u7
I like bending on maple fretboards far better than on ebony/rosewood (for guitars, not basses). I seldom see that mentioned as a difference, but I love to bend on that smooth lacquer.
That F10 is *nice* I'm a massive fan of Eugene Abdukhanov (Jinjer). If I could muster the focus & set aside time for months of practise to go 5-string for the first time & learn some of Eugene's parts, that F10 is quite reminiscent of his favourite instrument.... & for a fraction of the price of a custom instrument from Stas Pokotylo (worked at Fodera for years). :)
The U7 looks and sounds like a great take on the Aerodyne, but those plasticy-looking pot knobs are quite meh on an otherwise fine bass 😅 One could replace them quite easily, though, I guess.
Correct. The treble turned down does a convincing imitation, but no passive tone. I do enjoy not having the low quality stacked pots to contend with. The trim pot in the cavity turned all the way down makes the passive volume equal to the active, making the switch more useful.
@@jonsidell3338 thx for that. I guess they haven't made it easy to swap out the volume pot for a stacked treble control? Can always drill another hole I guess if needed...
dosnt the scale lentgh get longer when you use stringthrou compared to bridge? coas then it would make sence for a 5 string to use stringthrough dont like the look on the U7, imo it would look bettre with a fade color or a pickguard on it
@@romeou4965 its just my opinion, i dont mind a bass without a pickguard but it feelsnaked to me. I play both finger and pick, depemds on The style of music for metal and punk i preffer a pick coas it gives a sound that you cant get with finger style. But for mowtown and reaggea then i play with finger coas it dosnt sound right with a pick
IF it be possible, PLEASE ASK SIRE to make a M7-6 string bass with PIEZO BRIDGE/ZERO-FRETT NUT/MULTI-SCALE I PERSONALLY want it in a 7 STRING SIRE M7-7P with zero-frett nut/MULTI-SCALpi PIEZO-BRIDGE ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Actually f10 is only on poplar burl The buckeye burl is only on namm and theres(thank god) 1 video of it The pattern is different, like how poplar and buckeye is So f10 only available with poplar now Even if i really think the buckeye is way more beautiful
Those are NOT mid switches on the F10. They are for series, split, and parallel. Both of you should do your homework before posting bogus information!!! SMH...
Lee just talks too much. In every video when it’s his turn to play he plays a note, and then he stops and speak. Please just make us hear the sounds, we are here for the demo.
Lee is such an amazing player!

I love how the U7 sounds
Good to see Cici growing here! Very nice basses! Wish I had loads of money to roll through all of these things.
Actually that's a Poplar Burl. Buckeye Burl looks quite different naturally. Regardless, a lovely bass for the price!
Exactly and the body shape (the bottom bit) is also slightly different on the Buckeye Burl top version, it doesn't protrude as much
Another great bass review thanks sire is really putting out some good stuff
we demand Cici pedalboard tour and tutorial on how to play stuff like this!
Love Cici's freaky effects. Pedal board tour sometime?

One of the first couple videos that Cici and Lee did together, they actually showcased their pedalboards. Pretty cool stuff.
She’s changed a few things from that earlier video I think, I’ll try to get her to comment her more recent pedal board selection xx (C’s Mum here 😂💞)

Pedal section... Wow ! Fantastic
Sounded shit
That U7 has Tones!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Those CiCi pedalboard tones were amazing at the halfway point!
fab cc , loved the mother ship sounds, like close encounters, shivers down the spine time, loved the vid guys.
This video made me so happy. That intro was fantastic. Love from Houston, TX.
Sire should really make the headstock shape on the F10 the default across the entire range
That gives schecter vibes 👎

@@romeou4965 Not a bad thing imo
@@giovannibonapace4250 Yeah reports of this seem to be a lot more commonplace now. The Z series launch in particular looked rough
@@__osinachisad to say I've seen the amount of people with QC issues with the Z. Do love my V7 though
How many controls you can present wrong? Yes!
Maple fretboards have to be lacquered to prevent absorbing moisture. That is not an issue with ebony and rosewood.

great jam up front!
Great playing, as usual!

F 10 ROASTED-MAPLE-NECK,ZERO-FRETTED, AND PIEZO-BRIDGE ❤❤❤❤
I miss Nathan
Where has he gone?
Yep. Awesome
i could listen to you both play for hours! I think i already have... nice
What Pedals was Cici using in the "with pedals" section? Sounded amazing!
THANKS FOR THE NEW VIDEO ❤❤❤❤
I REALLY LOVE ❤️ THE NEW HEADSTOCK 😍 💕
Cici looks very cute in this video. She should do a pedal board demo.
I love ebony fretboards
The U7 solves Sire's biggest issue: weight. I imagine that the F10 does the opposite unless it's chambered.
WE NEED A SIRE M7-6/M7-7 WITH ROASTED MAPLE NECK,F 10/11/12 HEADSTOCK,ZERO-FRETTED,AND A PIEZO-BRIDGE ❤❤❤❤❤
What is the weight of the F10?
The U7 looks and sounds like a great take on the Aerodyne, but those plasticy-looking pot knobs are quite meh on an otherwise fine bass 😅 One could replace them quite easily, though, I guess.
Better than an Aerodyne in my opinion. I just don’t like basswood bodies and the U7 had an alder body. It’s also half the price of a new Aerodyne.
Sound like Cici without busting the bank, please.
I wish Sire would retain the passive tone control when bypassing the preamp, but looks like the PJ doesn't have it. :(

Pickguard screams vintage and majority use bare fingers to play
