I have a question Dan. Ive been playing Bass for almost 2 years. That first song you played, and the tone. For some reason your tone sounds much different than mines. Could it be the amp im using? Im using a Bugera 15" combo amp. I'm trying to get that same tone. To me it reminds me of the music man stingray tone. Could it be my tone settings?
More scooped mids on the JB, cuts the mix better. PB sits in the mix more softly but its mids can be harsh if it's loud in the mix (see : 90's Rancid or Bad Brains for cut-throat JB tones)
What a great question! Well, hold up, we've got a whole bunch of P bass reviews coming up! The Sire P bass P5 models video has just gone live and we have a Fender offering for you very soon!
Sì ma ha un difetto non da poco che quando da passivo passi alla modalità attivo si sente troppo cresce troppo il volume di uscita e non è una buona cosa su un basso
Hi, thank you for your comment. I do try to get a good balance of bass along with a song track, demo drums and, like this video, a solo section too. It's a hard balance to strike as everyone would like to see something different - which in itself, isn't a bad thing right? We're all different and want for different things! I'll see what I can do in future videos whilst not making them too long and still include all the details. :)
I have this same exact one. This is my main Bass. This thing blows me away, each time I play it. 😂
Great review
We are glad you enjoyed it!
Superb! Great review and it was so good I bought one!
I bought one 2 years ago and can't say enough good about it. I gig with it regularly. Cheers
thanks for sharing Dan 🎶🎸🎵

This is new color for player plus jazz bass 2024 ?
That’s how you do a bass review!! Actually playing to show off the attributes of the guitar and not a bunch of slap bass and I like slap bass lol
💯
Dan, what would be the differences in Tone, when it would come to playing garage/punk rock, vs a P Bass?

Note that the neck radius specs are 9.5” radius not 12” - unless that is a typo from Fender.
It’s 12
Great Review, does the Bass also work without batteries or are they needed ?
No batteries needed!
It works on passive, but you lose control of several of the knobs. No EQ.
Should be such a good review but do the drums have to drown out the bass? What is the point?
So, I don’t understand much the English language because I’m more Spanish speaker. But, my question is: That Bass is Active and also Passive???
Yes it has an active/passive switch.
weight?
Dan, you naughty fella!
Didn't I say this morning, how I liked your natural soft, grey hair...? 😂😂❤❤❤🌈😹
It has been green / blue for about a year now ha ha! Sorry!
😛

Please ditch the backing tracks - I just wanna hear the bass please!!!
