  • Hi guys, today I'm talking about some things that I do to get control over my days spent with an energetic toddler. Becoming a mom teaches us how to prioritize, and do more in less time. Some things that help me do this are:
    1. The 2 minute rule: Do as much as you can of a task in 2 minutes and move on. Works when you don't have big blocks of time to set aside and things start stressing you out.
    2. Bins to the rescue! - Use bins, baskets and containers to toss all your stuff. You don't have to sort every single item. Your kids will know where something is, and it takes less time to tidy up.
    3. Do chores with family, they have so many benefits for kids and you get a few minutes of peace when they are asleep.
    4. Contain the mess. Designate messy zones, and pick up as you move on to the next area. Keeps me in a better mood!
    5. Save your crystals for a few years later. Keep only things you don't mind getting dirty or broken. It is not worth stressing over stains, broken glass, on crayon marks.
    6. Find your triggers and tackle them first. Maybe you can't stand a dirty floor, or a sticky stove gives you anxiety. Deal with those first so that you feel in control.
    7. Make time for yourself, do something for yourself everyday, even if only for a few minutes. Maybe this should have been my first point, it is so important!
Over here at Feel Good Mama, we learn from each other all the time, please do share how you maintain your sanity as a mom.
    A little about me:
I'm Vidya, a mom to a 3 year old little boy. When I'm not talking about trucks and cleaning up messes, I make videos about pregnancy and new mommyhood. I would love for you to join me on this journey!

This couldn’t have come at a better time! My daughter just turned 8 months old & after having a hectic Navratri, I was getting really discouraged about Diwali! It’s basically my LO and me all day long and my house is just out of order! I’ll definitely be using this as a guide to help me. I wanted to add that it’s okay to ask for help. Whether it’s from family/friends or hired help! It’s okay :) you can’t always do it alone and seeking help is just as good! :)
My focus this year is to develop allergy friendly sweets/goodies for my daughter rather than cleaning the house. Of course having a clean house is just as important but I’m going to hire cleaners to assist in that area! :)

I understand u reside in the US. Do you mind sharing us on your baby clothes washing video , like do u hand wash them or use a washing machine ? Your detergent choice, how u scrub their stained clothes when the entire bathroom is carpeted 🤦🏻‍♀️😅
