We have barely scratched the surface of what this device is capable of, it has all the bells and whistles to do great things with, it just hasn't been implemented into the firmware yet.
I can also recommend the cbepx-me (1.6) version. It has the same features but with somewhat faster updated inline to stock, and more themes. What is more important is, flashing these modded firmwares can fix the partitioning issues on the OS-sd card, which limits the card to 4gb no matter how big it is. I would 100% recommend this over stock at any time.
@@WheelsORamaTV its amazing that I couldn't even find the new firmware on anbernic's site (its on their youtube channel) but there's already a mod for it out there XD
I thought I was the only one for a sec. I paired and used moonlight from the stock os. It works good, but the controls and the screen are impractical. Especially when I have Steam Deck.
Thanks! But honestly I have no idea how to answer this. Never been a pokemon guy myself. Maybe somebody else in the comments section will be able to answer. :)
I'm working with muos v10 rn, I was just on the discord and the creator said vague things about the timeline, I'd guess probably a month? I have modified stock on another SD card, but for some reason the menu was unusably laggy, I've set it aside for now.
Cheers for all the effort that goes into these. I was intrigued by Modified Stock and the FTP functionality looks great, but I'm really comfortable with MuOS (which I ended up trying after watching your video) so I can't see me jumping ship, especially with 64-bit on the horizon with the next MuOS release (and SFTP coming too!)
I still prefer to use Min UI on this thing. I only play gba and snes. And it’s so perfect for that. Min UI is so easy to install too! But it’s a no go if you want to play anything above PS1. Or use analog sticks for that matter.
This stock modified OS is bases in which version of the original os? If a new version of the stock os be released, how can I upgrade without losing mods? I really don't know the answers. Thanks.
I've been using muOS v10 for a while now, and I'm waiting for v11, but this looks pretty good. Because N64 and PSP work better with the Anbernic stock os, I might format a different SD card here just to try it :) also Moonlight is awesome and I wanna stream PS2 and GC from my PC while I don't have an Odin 2 or a RP4Pro! Cheers!
Dear all, did that version includ full ise of the space of the sd card? A 128Go can be fully used ? If yes whem we format we get directly full storagevspace or we need to add new tasks for it?
It would be the most obvious function to develop first, and yet it's not, either in custom of proprietary firmware... I do think this is not by chance, ok the SW function but to my understanding the chip itself should be able to handle a sort of super low power mode, that basically just feeds enough power to the ram to avoid loosing the data and shuts everything else off, including its own internal functions. Or alternatively, there should be a separate way to feed the ram, either from the main battery through a secondary circuit or through a small secondary battery as it was in the old Gameboy cartridges... This maybe tough to hear but... To me it's possible that these devices are incapable of sleep for hardware reasons, otherwise it would be the first thing ever implemented
@@frankysour you're thinking of real hibernate. Handhelds with "hibernate functionality" (like the Miyoo Mini with Onion OS) basically just do a savestate before turning off and then they load the core / rom / savestate at boot up, giving the illusion of hibernate. It's still incredibly useful but yeah, it's more or less a totally implementable hack. 😆
@@VladNerd well this one is already there in stock firmware, it's called "quick shutdown", you find it under the RetroArch section (meaning second icon on main menu), then "apps" , and it is in that list of additional settings. Not nice working as on onion, though, basically... While playing you press power quickly, and it saves and shuts down, then when you power up it boots directly into the same game at same position where you had shut down. But only works if you use RetroArch for playing, not the stand alone emulators (but this is same in onion)
Looks good. I am a fan of stock OS. The FTP feature, I wonder what the copying speed is on the device? Using my SD card adaptor I get 80MB/s transfer speed using a Samsung Evo micro SD card which is very good when copying huge files like for DC and PSP and PS. EDIT: at 5:36 you mention that BIOS files are not included. This is incorrect. This device includes the bios files in the linux partition. They have always been there and are picked up the the emulators from there. You can find them using the built in file explorer (/mnt/vendor/deep/retro/system). For some odd reason Anbernic always included the bios folder in the Roms partition which was never needed. This is why the official latest stock OS does not include the bios folder in the Roms partition anymore
Need help so I flashed Tom's on the 64gb card but it has no bios no nothing configuration and other folders are missing what do I do ? And how does the 2 sd cards work together
i have a image posted on webarchives that are based on the same pack of roms/bios of the stock firmware, for 64gb cards, and with a system update function on "Apps" and enabled SFTP , at that time i have fixed bluetooth of my stock modded firmware with an aṕp.

Thanks for the video my friend. At the moment trying the Knulli implementation of Batocera with my snazzbizzle plus, after having already tried 4 different os, including the modified stock room. I have been using the moonlight for 2 months but I can't remove the vertical black bars on the sides which makes it smaller display. Did you also have this issue? If yes, how did you fix it?
Find out your phones' resolution, and go into Nvidia graphics panel settings and add that as a custom resolution. This will also make most games scale perfectly to hour phones' display as well. Alternatively, just go into the moonlight settings on your phone and check "Stretch to Fullscreen" or something similar. :)
@@VladNerd I already looked for the settings in moonlight in my RG35XX H but can't find it. I already tried checking the NVIDIA graphics panel in my laptop but there was no Display option to change the resolution. 😔
