Erik’s problem was not with the world bank’s mission. It was with China using the world bank to trap developing countries into bad loans that the world bank will have to help pay back. However, wanted to point out on why some Chinese would go to South America, mainly because in tourist visa for Chinese citizens entering US is very strict, it usually requires a lot of process such as proof of property ownership etc. many South American countries are visa free for Chinese citizens.
