Seems a likely outcome of dragging a bloody fish for 6 hours in shark infested waters. With rules like that why bother. Biggest fish should win. That was a spectacular specimen with an exceptional effort.

regeneration deformities are not considered to be disqualifying injuries.
The thing that’s getting lost in all of this, is that there’s a shark out there worth $3 m
I didnt see the fish in person but from what I can see on the videos , that fish was not mortaly wounded !!! Its vital organs were not touched in any way so how can the officals say it wasn't able to fight up to its potential !!! NOT A GOOD CALL by the officals in my book !!!
that is bull a bite was taken out of it by a shark. To disqualify it based on something that was out of yhere hands the tournament needs to be disqualified
The rule is there because if a shark attacks your fish it could actually favor the fishermen in helping catch and land the marlin. That’s why that rule is in place if anyone is wondering

@@jonh6503Bcuz either it could kill the fish, which eliminates the fight or it could put the fish in shock which would also eliminate the fight.
@@jonh6503which makes it easier to land the fish. If it would’ve happened after a tail rope is placed on the fish, it wouldn’t have been disqualified

Quem tinha que ganhar o prêmio era os pescadores que fisgaram o Marlim de 280 quilos ele deu mais trabalho para ser fisgado por ser mais forte e pesado 60 quilos a mais essa diferença de peso e brutal , foi uma covardia terem perdido o prêmio não justifica a batalha que o marlim teve no mar talvez por estar mordido por outro peixe não implicaria na sua força física direta mesmo que as mordidas fossem profundas um marlim de 280 quilos a sua força e brutal ?
