    This video is about what each one means for someone starting in the hobby, with the idea to help choosing what protocol to chose for your FPV drones.

    I remember those days with FrSky and the massive hassle of using that platform and their receivers. I'll never buy another FrSky transmitter as a result of that experience. They proved that they're willing to massively inconvenience their customers to protect their business. No thanks. I just replaced my FrSky X-Lite (with Crossfire nanoTX) with a Radiomaster Boxer Max with ELRS and I'll be moving my Crossfire module over.

    I've only started to build a drone fleet after "graduating" from DJI consumer drones. Don't get me wrong, I still love my DJI drones, but I'm digging the FPV options and the community. I got some advice early on to opt for Crossfire, but now I think I'll start using ELRS for all my new projects. I have the Tango 2 controller but have been thinking that I want a bigger controller with the unique ergonomic needs of my hands. Now that you can get the Radiomaster TX 16S with built-in ELRS, it makes sense for me to invest. I do wish that controller had built-in Crossfire so I didn't have to figure out how to add and use the adapter on the back. Does that adapter even work as good as my Tango 2 or should I just keep using that controller with those quads? Anyway, this video was super helpful in helping me to understand exactly where ELRS lives in the history of FPV, so thanks for that!

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  Рік тому +2

      To add an external module is just to connect it in the back. Then the configuration is exactly as an internal module just selecting external. Very easy. Take a TX16S ELRS and add the crossfire external module and you’ll have the best combination.

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  2 роки тому +1

      Hey, I don't have experience myself with this drone, but doing some online research I found out you can use a multiprotocol radio like the TX16S and chose a protocol named MJXq, subprotocol E010.
      To bind, you have to power up the quadcopter first always. Once you see the LED is blinking, it means it’s in bind mode and looking for TX. You can now power up the TX, it will send out a bind signal at the beginning, and the LED on the quad should go solid which means they are bound.
