  • Nottingham College student, Elspeth Antcliff, recently achieved an incredible feat by taking second place in the under-18 category of the prestigious Young Talent of Tomorrow competition, run by the Graduate Fashion Foundation.
The competition, themed 'identity,' challenged students to create an outfit that embodied their unique sense of self. Elspeth, a year one Level 3 fashion student from East Leake, impressed judges with her designs, which were based on her struggle with dyslexia and how she has transformed it into a source of inspiration. Her entire collection centred around flowers, which represented her ability to bloom both in fashion and as an individual. Through her work, she has created her own unique identity.
In describing her work, Elspeth said "My design shows how my identity is blooming and how I am able to express myself through fashion."
Tutors provided support throughout the project, and her successful entry earned her the chance to showcase her work at Graduate Fashion Week in London this June.
