  • The shooting starts at about 11:00, if that's what you want to see. This video focuses on the viability of the air rifle in a survival situation. In the end, I crony test the Gamo Bone Collector Gen 3i.

    I never considered an air rifle as being a necessity. You've made me reconsider!

      I’m glad to be of help! Many have changed their minds on this. It’s not the same toy that we had BB Gun Wars with when we were kids.

      Have you tried the Hammer brand of springer scopes? I have two Hammer scopes, one on my Gamo Magnum nitro piston and one on my Gamo Maxim nitro piston. The scopes were both for under hundred clams on Amazon. I have both on my rifle well over two years without even a POI shift. Just an FYI and great video by the way.

      @@acsaenz1 I have not. I may try one of those. I’ve been using the Vortex Vipers and Athlons for awhile now. I love the lifetime warranty and optical clarity of both scopes. Thank you for watching, and the comment! I appreciate it.

    If you hunt into a place where you are far away from your jeep air compressor? Then I suggest you to bring an extra air cylinder bottle..since the content of 350 cc can shoot 50 on cal.22 if i am right..less shot on bigger caliber.

      Great advice. I can get 60 shots with the Marauder F/T in 22, before it’s below regulator pressure. I may do some adjusting, to lower the power, and increase the shot count. Still, with the accuracy and reliability of the German springers, I have a hard time not grabbing one of those when I’m on a hunt.

    I have several Gamo's and never use the bundled scopes ( my biggest and only complain ) . My Hunter XTR in 25 caliber wood stock sports a UTG 3X 12 X44MM side focus . A lot of mine use this scope .

      Yeah, I’ve only had one Gamo scope that lasted over a couple hundred pellets. And it lasted (and is still going) for like 15 years. Thanks for watching and commenting! I really do appreciate y’all commenting!

      @@SilverSurvival Well your lucky I guess that scope has lasted that long . Most of mine the reticle would spin around after the first 100 rounds or less , or no longer hold zero . I do prefer an AO scope myself .

      @@joedokes8641 that’s some truth! I’ll never understand packaging a scope that’s parallax free and focused at 100 yards, with a rifle that isn’t effective at anywhere near that distance.

      @@SilverSurvival Yeah lower the price of the rifle and let the shooter choose his or her scope . I understand they can get you shooting out of box , but come on include something better .

      @@joedokes8641 no doubt. I bring my own scopes to the party now. I stray away from all of those package scopes.

    And what if you don't have an air compressor or no electricity to pump up you airgun living in the wild.?

    • @SilverSurvival
      @SilverSurvival  2 місяці тому +6

      Well, I don’t use a pcp in the wild. In that scenario, I’m using a Springer. I make that point in the video, I believe. The PCP is a very easy rifle to get good with. A springer is a little more sensitive to hold, cheek weld, etc. but it’s also equally effective at putting food on the table. In fact, springers are always my go to choice when I’m going hunting.

      @SilverSurvival I'm guessing you can use a bicycle 🚲 pump if all comes to worse, or can you..?...🤷‍♂️..I like break barrel rifles because simple is always better for me..

    • @SilverSurvival
      @SilverSurvival  2 місяці тому +3

      @@meathead2676 no. It’s a 3,000 psi reservoir. It’s similar in design, but much better. Also, expensive for a decent one.

      I used to own a Daisy 880 that was a pump up, and it would also use co2 cartridges. I wish I never got rid of it. It was kinda cool..

      @@meathead2676 I had a Benjamin pump air rifle when I was a kid. Oddly enough, the Benjamin Discovery was a PCP that looked a lot like that old multi pump rifle.
