I’m currently using the Neti Pot because I have Covid, I’ve been using one bottle full 3 times a day to flush out my sinuses it’s really helping with the post nasal drip which has been causing an annoying hacking cough. Between the Neti Pot and gargling with distilled salt water I feel much better.

@@hanoofalajmi23You need to do sutra neti to unblock the passage. You must be very careful insert the rubber very slowly and over a period of weeks little by little if necessary. You may get some blood out of the nostril initially but it will stop after you do it 4- 5 times.

Thank you for demo. Coincidentally, I bought this kit the other day and have a suggestion: go slowly. The first time I tried it I squeezed the bottle too hard which led to pressure and discomfort so it took me a couple of days to try again. The second time I decided to go slowly, easing the water in and it worked much better, I used more water and had no discomfort. BTW, five minutes later I unexpectedly had some drops run down from my nose that hadn't drained so keep some Kleenex handy.

Good video. I share it with those new to a Neti pot. I've been doing it regularly since 2007. Can't imagine my life without it. I especially used it rather aggressively when I had colds. Helps tremendously with the symptoms. Also great for low humidity environments and during high allergens. I'll use it until the day I die.

Nice video. Many of my patients have benefited from nasal irrigation.
Saline irrigation can also be performed with a medial irrigation rinse that can contain topical antibiotics. This is prescribed by otolaryngologists frequently with patients that have long term sinus issues.

They finally sent me to an ENT doctor and after the Prednisone shrunk my nasal polyps I’m adding Budesonide 0.5 mg/ 2mL to my nasal rinse.
After 4-5 yrs I was able to breathe out of my nose again but it was short lived. I can see the polyp with a pen light. Hopefully there’s something else besides surgery.

I am a yogi, also a yoga instructor, and am suffering terribly from allergies this spring. East Tennessee is terrible for high pollen levels. I take allergy shots, which have helped tremendously, until now. What you said about the link between sinus inflammation with pain, fatigue and depression are spot on. I have been so tired, achy and unhappy since the flare-up. I’ve heard that a neti pot is helpful. I will be heading to the drug store tomorrow and trying. Thanks for sharing your time and talent to demonstrate the proper use. It’s very helpful and appreciated.

If you truly have allergies, washing your nose out only works for about 2 minutes until you get back outside and your mucous membranes are exposed to the pollen again. That sets off a chain reaction on a cellular level and the problem comes right back. This will be essentially useless for you.

Hi Ann - I’m in your Tai Chi class for arthritic seniors.
I had sinus surgery a few years ago to correct a breathing problem. Dr recommended the Neil Med wash.

I’ve used it when my sinuses flair up. But you apply it differently. I squeeze the bottle hard and it shoots a water jet up my nose to rinse everything out. Doesn’t hurt but your eyes will water up quite a bit while it’s blowing solution out the other nostril. Seems to work pretty good.

Yes, I have. First time today, infact. What prompted me to buy one was the fact that I was having a uncontrollable allergy fit in a Walmart just down the street from my house. At times I can barely see when my allergies are the worst. I think you call it hay fever. I quickly dashed for a Neti pot & headed home. Ran, what you call two bottles through each nostril. I have the blue one that looks like a genie's lamp. My sinus cavity seems clearer & free of all those itchy things that make my eyes water and nose run. For a little break, at least. Still feels congested. Good to know you can do it multiple times a day. I hope this will help turn some things around with these alergie fits that I have.

I used a netipot and my ears hurt after and sometimes during. I couldn’t get any solution to come out my right nostril.
I tried the one your using for the first time and I couldn’t understand what the straw was for and my ears popped or hurt while gently blowing my nose.
I can see now I was using it like the netipot and holding my head to far side ways.
That was a good how too review. I will try it your way next.
With the netipot nothing would come out my right nostril so my allergy doctor from U-Mass got me this one through insurance and though I wasn’t doing it correctly I had a lot of junk come out on both sides, that’s a first.
    Thank you for your time

I have Covid and my left ear is sooo clogged From all of the nose blowing. I’m taking pseudoephedrine to try to reduce all of the inflammation to my sinuses and my Eustachian tubes. This video is super helpful and I’m going to go with this brand as opposed to a tea pot style to protect my ears. Thanks so much for sharing!

I am glad it is helpful! Definitely consult your doc if you have any increasing symptoms. There is some research that suggests neti could be helpful for covid: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7193539/ I am definitely doing my neti! Hope you feel better soon. Stay safe.

@@doubtfuldrawing Flushing through my nose I did not like it at all, but it did help temporarily. The problem resolved itself after I lost 35 pounds. The weight had something to do with mucus unable to drain properly. My doctor agreed. Thanks for asking.

My allergy doctor said that’s not a good idea.
Since my nose has not got any better I’ll try it her way which is your way.
