Thanks for the vid as always, great content. Got my first 30+ down there this year in June, but generally was super tricky for me to consistently find fish in all of MA this season
Thanks for the kind words man. And yeah it was a tough season from the surf and the canal in MA. The outer cape had some great fishing about a month ago with 30lb class fish coming in
Watching this makes me so jealous. I just lost my PB striper yesterday, was fishing 12 pound braid and ended up losing a 25 - 30 pounder at the beach after a 15 minute fight. Nice catch
Nice! They were busting surface last week on our land locked lake, which I missed. Will get more trolling in on them in the branches of the lake though next week.
Great Job! We see the big fish. Now let's try to keep it alive, please. They say when big fish like that are caught at least 50% die after release. Thank you for taking us along
You should never lift a big bass up like that, too much stress on the organs. Get a quick measure and let her go. LengthxLenghtx length divide by 2200, that's the weight.

Awesome video Dan!!! Been binge watching your videos all morning, from my personal channel. You got me hyped up for this season!!! BTW Love those perfectly placed movie clips!!!😂🎣
Ly Yang So every year is different. If I were planning a trip I’d make it for mid June and just follow the Migration from On the Water for a general idea of how fast the fish are pushing up the coast.

But I haven't got my hands on one yet. Worked the same as a Tsunami Talking Popper or a Cotton Cordell pencil popper. The Gordo actually does come in a mini size now, I think that one is 5in. I want to get one for my inshore rod.
Hello another well made video good content...would you say the 11' jigster is your goto large Topwater distance rod? Looking to build a rod for that purpose big Topwater stuff... considering the 11 jigster or maybe the 2-8 blackhole striped bass special...thanks gor the vid keep um coming...
trailbiker72 I was lucky enough to prototype the 11’ and new 12’ blackhole striped bass specials in both 2-8 and 1-6 and when it comes to all out distance those rods are not to be fucked with. I’ve owned a 12’ 2-8 century surf machine elite that was $1200 and the 12’ striped bass special would throw a 4.5 oz pencil just as far. Even the 1-6 throws my 4.5 oz longcast pencils easily without feeling lazy. So to answer your question the 11’ jigster is my go-to all around canal rod. I can throw pencils, swimmers, and do some light jigging swimming paddle tails etc. but the Striped Bass special is a long distance unit. If you go to Kil Song’s UA-cam page he’s got some videos of me throwing some of my big pencils with the prototype 12’ 2-8 and 1-6. The 11’ is just as much of a weapon, just in a smaller package.
@@DanEvan great insight... i have a BH surf 2 H for jigging and a all around set up... just looking for a totally unnecessary self endulgent Topwater rod, did you feel the extra foot was worth the weight and handling trade off did you have same control? I'm 80% sure I'm going with the blackhole probably 2-8 just not sure if 12 or 11'... I've had Glenn build a few rods this year great products...
trailbiker72 the rod is so light that I honestly did feel like I had the control. When it comes to fish fighting you do notice the extra foot of rod, but it’s that compromise you take. You could always have Glenn take a 12’ blank and knock 6” off the butt and make her an 11’6. He loves doing shit like that. I will say that the 1-6 has a sweet spot of like 3.5 - 4 oz and is not your typical 1-6 that starts to feel lazy at 3-3.5 oz....it was this fact that swayed my choice of taking the 2-8 or 1-6 to experiment with and I went with the 1-6 and the reason for that was it’s so easy to get caught up in the heavy gear for the canal that we forget that for the past two years the main consistent bait was tinker Mack’s and squid so I wanted something that I could still throw Hogy soft plastics, minnow style plugs, and those smaller 2-3 oz pencils. I actually think the 1-6 would compliment the heavy II really well in terms of covering your weight ranges from 1 oz to a fucking cinder block with the heavy II. At the end of the day it just comes down to your style. If you like leaning into big plugs (4+ oz pencils etc) either one will get the job done but the 1-6 is going to be able to throw that lighter stuff when they’re on small bait or squid and the 2-8 is going to be more of a purpose built rig for putting big lures out there max distance. Just to give you an idea, I casted a factory 11’ 2-8 striped bass special against a fully custom ODM Evolution with titanium guides and the SBS was outcasting it by 20-30 yards because it’s just a faster stick that recovers insanely quick and the Evolution is a more moderate rod that excels in the battle.
@@DanEvan well pulled the trigger and had Glenn build a 12 1-6 cut down to 11'6" very encouraged by results "so far" early yet have not fully put it through its paces, but casting wise it excels with out having to really hammer a cast. Have to see on how it handels big fish only schoolies and a couple slots on it. But nice and light with the titanium guides. Looking forward to seeing what it can do.
@@doge_fishing hell yeah. During testing the biggest fish I caught on it was a 34 pounder that was pissed and the rod folded over and took the load beautifully and I was putting serious heat to it. Please keep me updated on how you like the rod
Dan…No knew videos coming out on the ditch.?I was there last week and fished a few mornings and picked up one blue and a schoolie and that’s it.Using the the ODM 3 to 8 oz rod you recommended.Only saw surface action that one morning.
Besides early June the ditch has absolutely sucked. All the Macks stayed out in deep water off Stellwagon, and all the pogies pushed through and the stripers have just been staying with them, oceanic sand eels, and butterfish offshore. Surfcasting from the ditch has been about as bad as I can remember and I’ve fished it and lived 2 minutes away for 15 plus years now.
Nice fish. I had my only chance to fish the Canal in Oct. 2019. Was too late for any real action but it was the tail end of a business trip and I enjoyed being there. There's a reason it's called fishing instead of catching. You don't always catch one.
Dope vid, looked like an awesome day to be out there but when isn’t it, an definitely a nice setup I have the ODM frontier X 3 6oz paired with a 8000 Stella, but that Alpse reel seat is sweet, I wish I would’ve had it put on when I got my rod but I needed the rod for a quick trip, where is that rod builder from that you had yours done at, I’d like to either customize the rod that I have or just have another one built
So did you mean the 2-6 frontier or 3-8 oz?And honestly man, the Alps reel seats look cool, but for a Surf rod I wouldn’t recommend them. The only reason I got one on my jigster build is because this is my third one and they’ve all had the Alps titanium reel seats so it’s more of a “feel” thing for me. They’re heavy, they get slippery when wet, cold as hell when it’s chilly out, and if you get sand inside the locknut threads you can seriously mangle them. For a dedicated canal rod they’re decent, but anything that’s going to be used in the surf or sand, I’d go with something like the Fuji Ergo reel seat. Just giving my totally honest opinion.
Dan Evan Fishing , my fault I have the 10’6 3 to 8oz, an ya I’ll definitely take what you said into consideration, I mean I probably fished the Canal maybe 20 times tops, I’m usually fishing jetties, and the occasional beach’s in the Rhode Island area, and I been looking at the Alps reel seat for a while every since I had a Fuji reel seat give out on me and almost lost my Stella so I been looking at the Centra Lock knurled nut black alps reel seat, I’ve heard they get colder in the fall days but I’d rather have the cold hands and my Stella then warm hands an have to fish my Stella off the side of a jetty, what size reel seat did you end up havin to go with on your jigster that’s a hell of a setup how were you able to shave off 4 oz’s from your previous builds
Difference was negligible to be honest. The return in performance isn’t worth the price of going to a full titanium torzite guide train on an 11’ stick. Hell the stripper guide alone is like $75. The biggest difference was the weight reduction and also really helped take away that tip-heavy feeling the jigster can have.
@@DanEvan True- I found that in all of my JDM trout and large mouth bass rods. I love how light it is- it becomes like an extension of your arm. Well of course for a surf rod it is different. I just sold my Frontier X + Stella 1400 off. I miss it but I'm ready for a new set up! Your custom build is giving my some ideas- thanks!
@@jjsfishing8226 depends what kind, floating, sinking etc. They’re not really made by guys from the surf. Mostly made by tuna guys like strategic angler etc
@@DanEvan following up about the rod, I'm looking for an upgrade and am curious if you think a 10'6" Jigster would be versatile enough to use for stickbaits? I'd also love to hear more about the 9 footer you use
@@jjsfishing8226 it would be just fine with sinking stickbaits. Floating stickbaits (especially some of the more finicky ones like Carpenters) just require a softer tip. I use a 9’ ODM NEX 1 which is a moderate action blank rated 1-5 oz for dedicated stickbaiting. I use that rod in a lot of certain surfcasting spots where I can stand up on a rock and have enough room to sweep the rod tip low
Hey Dan, just had a question on how you like the Maxquatro braid. I’ve been trying to pick between that and cortland masterbraid. Just wanted to get your preference on it.
I think for an all around canal setup maxcuatro 50lb (40lb diameter) is awesome if you want to pay the money. It’s 0.32mm in diameter. That or Daiwa Samurai 55lb (0.36mm) are both awesome. The Daiwa is round and maintains its roundness so it doesn’t bite into the spool. Couldn’t go wrong either way.
@@DanEvan I wanted to diawa samurai stuff but it’s so god damn expensive now😂, might have to check out the maxcuatro PP stuff it does seem like some pretty nice braid.
@@JCB517 it’s nice for no other reason than the diameter to lb test ratio. It’s only a 4 carrier braid so it’s a bit louder but 50lb seems like it’s 30 in your hand and you will see the results casting and how easily your jig gets to the bottom
@@DanEvancool I’ll definitely will be going with the maxcuatro then, casting distance was what I was worried about but now that Ik 50 casts like 30lb I will definitely be getting it. Thanks for the help man.
Brotha you should get a body go pro!! So we can all reel those beautiful sloppy Pigs in with you!!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼good shit ma man. Anyone that doesn’t fish I’ll tell them this if you EVER happen to catch a Striped Bass, YOULL BE ADDICTED feom that moment forward!!!
Hey Dan. Have you ever tried using a 20' Saragosa paired with the jigster? Many recommend the 8k and 10k models. Wondering your thoughts on the 14k, having similar/same spool size and retrieve speed as the 19' Stellas. For both jigging + plugging. Thanks man for providing the knowledge with your videos.
Yeah I have and I think the 14k would pair beautifully with the jigster and be and an outstanding reel for the money for both plugging and jigging. I think those reels are going to sell like hot cakes for canal setups now that they’re offered in the 14k size like they were way back in the day.
And to elaborate I would 100% get the 14k over the 10k....you gain nothing by dropping to the 10k in terms of weight, it’s 24.3 oz compared to the 14k which is 24.7, and with the 14k you’ll get the same 53” per crank you get with a Stella which has so many benefits in the canal....from being able to burn a jig up and over the ledge and avoid snags, to planing a longcast sinking pencil to the surface with ease and keeping it up on the surface with minimal angler input on the reel, staying in contact with plugs and jigs as they sweep in the fast moving current etc. It’s an absolute no brainer if you ask me. For pairing with a jigster or any canal rod that’s going to be putting in some heavy work, forget the 8k and 10k and get the 14k all day.
IMO it’s a large heavy reel… I have Saragossa 8000 @ 27lb drag …. Switched to Shimano Vanford which is made up to 5000 size… I use the 4000…it’s super light and has 24 lb drag. Saragossa 14000 has 33lb drag but weighs 24.7 oz! Vanford 5000 weighs 7.8 oz. Trade offs to each reel…
I think that would make for a great all around setup. I’d personally go for the 14k as it’s the same size as the 10k with a bigger spool and I think it would match better with the 11’ 1328. I had the 1328 before they introduced graphene into the rod blanks and the difference is night and day. The new one with graphene is such a better rod. The rod is kind of a Jack of all trades, master of none. It’s going to throw pencils 3-4 oz, 9” magic swimmers, stick shadds, and if you’re using paddle tail jigs it’s going to be fine with everything up to a 5 oz savage. The SS1329 is more of a dedicated jig stick. Same with the Paiva Century rod. But yeah for a single all around setup the 1328 with either a 14k or 10k saltiga, a high quality 50lb braid and 60lb fluoro leader will be an awesome setup.
good job and those are nice fish , i dont know much about them but i would love to hook into one , i catfish and see other catfisherman hook in to them somtimes chasing catfish
It’s actually just a knob from an 8000 Stella, but on my other 14k Stella I use this: www.saltywatertackle.com/product/shimano-yumeya-aluminum-round-power-handle-knob-l-type-b/
I feel like it brings the power of the bottom half of the rod in more. After having 3 jigsters with all different guide layouts this is by far the most enjoyable when fish fighting with no ill effects on casting etc
So don’t really go off power ratings with surf rods but it’s rated as fast action rod but I’d say it’s more moderate/fast with lure rating of 4-10 oz but is more like 2-8....you could certainly throw 8 and bait but I wouldn’t want to throw a dense 10 oz jig with it....or at all lol
I really want to take a trip up there from NJ, can u tell me the best time to some cuz it takes over 5h. I don’t want to take the ride and spend 100-120$ on a hotel room and not catch anything.
So it really depends year to year and where the migration is, but by mid June those 30-40lb class fish are usually here so any time between mid June to early july
@@DanEvan thanks bud appreciate the info, those are the worst months here so it kinda makes sense. I’ll be coming up around that time for sure. Tight lines
@@ogi-9346 So yeah that’s part of the reason I run PowerPro maxcuatro 50lb. It’s got the strength of 50lb test but with the diameter of 40Lb....but if you go back to some of my older videos you’ll see plenty of 30+ pound fish caught on everything from 30lb, 40lb, 50lb, or even 65lb. It all depends on what style of fishing I’m doing. My dedicated jigging setups tend to be much heavier than my dedicated plugging setups and then you have the Jigster/Stella combo that is my “all around” setup and for all of 2017 and 2018 I had 40lb braid on my Stella 14k....You just need to be aware that if you are tying a traditional palomar knot to a swivel that’s attached to your leader, that you’ve automatically reduced the break strength of your line by 1/3 because of that small choke point knot. So your 40lb test is really closer to breaking around 25 pounds and we’ve tested this thoroughly....as opposed to if you were connect you mainline to leader using an FG knot you’d be at about 95% break strength of the mainline so your 40lb test is the really more like 35-38lb. I run 10-12lbs of drag at the canal, up to a max of 15 pounds if I really need to turn a fish or get its head off the bottom (big canal stripers will eventually always take you to the bottom if you play them out and don’t put the boots to them and over the years and getting smoked a few times by fish of a lifetime I evolved my fish fighting style to be much more aggressive. I know the limits of my gear and terminal tackle just through time and experience and I really just try to fish the canal with the mindset “no fish stories” about the one that got away because of (insert excuse). So I gear up appropriately for my style and that’s a little on the heavier side if you were to ask most people who fish the canal, but I haven’t lost a fish due to tackle failure in as long as I can remember.
@@DanEvan thank bro amzing information i appreciate you so much, I haven't go fishing to the canal yet, I live in boston and usally i go to boson harbor . But so far not big striped bass yet, those are monsters striped bass. I enjoy watching your videos bro kep it up .
I hate fishing from shore never understood it i would just buy a cheap bay boat over casting from shore. Am I missing something? I’m asking that literally I’m interested
It’s the challenge and skill required to catch these from land that makes surfcasting so fun. I worked on a charter boat for a decade and still fish with friends on boats but there’s nothing like bombing out a lure (especially one you’ve made) 150 yards and catching a fish from the rocks or beach. It’s rewarding in a way that boat fishing just isn’t. Look up Morningtide Fishing if you want to see the thrill of landbased fishing. Beyond that fishing from a boat in the Cape Cod Canal is illegal. Add in the element of 4-5 knots of current and the fights are incredible.
@@DanEvan Hmmm good points I'll check that out. Yea I have fished the canal from shore many times, makes sense fishing from a boat is illegal. Thanks for the mind opening content take care bud!
@@chrisafp071 Of course Chris. Thank you for asking a legitimate question that was based on your curiosity, and for being open minded about the mindset I have. Let me say that the level of skill required to find fish and the limitless techniques in a boat to target those fish are endless and the skill cap is equally high. Let me put it this way, it doesn’t matter if it’s from a jetty, a kayak, a boat, a beach, a river, a pond, whatever…..as long as I’m fishing, and even better, catching…I’m a happy guy. I’m sure we can both agree that as long as you’re wetting a line, enjoying yourself, and that results in some fish caught, that’s a good day, Cheers buddy, thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to watching my stuff and comment. I do my absolute best to always answer everyone who takes the time out of their day to interact with me, and your question was a very valid one.
@@DanEvan Yep I can't agree with you more my friend. I think fishing is built into our DNA we have been doing it for so many thousands of years. Keep it up! Love the content
Those were cows How will you recommend jig the canal ? I watch people doing slow with aggressive pulls, and other people doing fast without being aggressive on the pulls ?
So I’d say it all depends on the type of jig you’re using. Paddle tail, rat tail (straight tail), bucktail (feather dressed or sparse), diamond jig (metals)? I fish them all differently due to their sink rates and characteristics in the current so if you can give me what you’re throwing, I’d be happy to give you my input. Cheers man, and thank you.
@@DanEvan hello man, I usally use algags jigs and savage gear saneeld jigs. I don't fish the canal very often but I would like to get an idea on how to jigs with them
@@l_ogi_l2039 So I would fish those jigs two ways if I were you. One would be like drifting a trout fly and just swinging it just off the bottom in the current. Just know that once it gets past you in the tide that paddle tail is going to make the bait rise so slow your retrieve down. Also don’t always try to make the longest cast. Try a fan pattern of long, medium and short casts. As far as yanking it off the bottom I just don’t think it’s necessary with a paddletail. You can lift the rod or snap it off the bottom quickly but anything more exaggerated than that is just yanking the jig out of the strike zone imo
Awesome videos! You plan on doing videos about your rods? Gear load out etc.. I’m planning to customize a Jigster and Blackhole SBS Blank, but want your feedback before doing so. I DMed you a couple months ago on IG, but you were probably busy. If it’s more convenient for you, we can just talk on this comment since I’m pretty sure someone else watching your videos are also fascinated with your gear. Thank you and keep the videos coming! 👍
Phillip Saephan Sorry buddy I don’t check the old IG DMs very often (if ever), so if you have a specific question or one that wasn’t answered in the video hit me with it and I’ll give you my best answer. I’m very familiar with both of those rods
Dan Evan Fishing Ah ok. So about the jigster being 50/50 split, have you ever casted and had the top section fly off into the water? That happened to my jigster twice when I took a trip up to CCC and it was embarrassing.. I was wondering since you have a 60/40 split jigster, how is that compared to the regular 50/50 split? Does it have its downside being 60/40? 70/30? I was looking into making it 70/30 if possible. Honestly I don’t mind 50/50 split, but in my experience 50/50 split rods shoot off the top section more often than a 60/40 or 70/30. Unless I’m just a bad caster 😅
Dan Evan Fishing as for the Blackhole SBS, which rod length would you go with? I’m 5’7”, I have no problems with 10-11ft rods. I don’t have a 12fter but wouldnt mind it as long as it shows significantly farther casts w/big plugs. TIA
Phillip Saephan the rod coming apart while casting is just due to not setting the ferrule properly. Let me find a link to a video about how to properly put your rod together
Hey Dan I just saw your comment I just subscribe to your channel and thanks for watching my video and subbing to mine those stripers are huge great video
I get fishing heavy braids and leaders in the canal but when your drag is locked down and you’re horsing the fish in like that there’s a very good chance that you are killing it...just saying
Jason Rebello Show me the science behind that and I’ll take a look at it. I’d rather fight the fish aggressively, get the fish in, revived and released healthy and fast opposed to playing out the fight, letting lactic acid build up in their gills, and over exhaust the fish etc. I’m only using 10-12 pounds of drag, measured with a drag scale.
Lmao 😂 option 1 take ur time and exhaust the fish to no return or option 2 bring the fish in quick and get a much easier and better shot at a good healthy release 🤔
No sir . The quicker you can land that fish , get it revived and released properly the better . Mortality rates are high for lots of reasons . Guys playing with big fish on lighter setups and loose drags is one of those reasons. 10 + minute fights in the summer with high water temps is not good for these fish one bit . Sure the fish swam off but did it make it ? My opinion ✌🏽
It was the fact that the tide was at a transition point and the current had not yet picked up. Those same fish with 4-5 knots of current at their backs, and they’re hyper oxygenated are a completely different animal than slack tide and the heavy setup is not only to stop them from ultimately taking you to the bottom which is a graveyard of crap that will bust you off, but it’s also to make sure I’m not stopping guys downtide from casting for 20 minutes because I’m using an inappropriate setup for the canal. I also don’t want to over exhaust the fish, and because after fishing there for 20 years, and getting my fair share of ass kickings on lighter setups, I decided nobody cares about the fish you almost caught. When I’m in the open surf I use a 10’ ODM evolution rated 3/4-5 oz, moderate action rod, a VS150 with 30lb braid and 40lb leader. The video posted before this one on my channel shows what a 40lb striper with the current at is back can do and that’s an even heavier setup.
This fellas doesn't mess around bringing a fish in !!

Ly Yang So every year is different. If I were planning a trip I’d make it for mid June and just follow the Migration from On the Water for a general idea of how fast the fish are pushing up the coast.
Definitely mid June
Didnt poach the fish and a beautiful release. Liked and subbed lol.
Yup seriously gotta love the assholes running too their cars after they catch a short fish we need more people on the canal too bust out the phone get a photo or video and plate numbers. I subbed up as well cape cod canal is on my bucket list this year
if it’s legal size how would that be poaching for instance if it’s like 40-50inch?

My bad I just looked em up there outta Wareham right, not to bad since I’m outta Fall River
Love it thank you for the video let’s see what I will catch👍
what size braid and mono or floro leader are you using?
Mad Greek Outdoors all gear is listed in the beginning of the video and in the video description
Dan- did you noticed any casting distance with the torzite eye guide rings?
Already itching for spring time. Would love to see a vid on stickbaits!
I love using stickbaits in the canal. I use a special 9 foot rod with a soft tip for floating stickbaits and it works a treat.
@@DanEvan Can you name any local (NE) plug-makers that do a good stickbait?
How much cost your rod?
@@DanEvanhave you ever had any problems with the maxcuatro biting into the spool?

@@DanEvan Much appreciated on the response. Just needed a bit of reassurance to go splurge a little on myself. G'luck at the canal this year.
@@danstone3066 same to you Dan. You’re going to love that reel and there’s not a striper on the planet that it couldn’t handle with ease.
Trade offs to each reel…
nice rockfish man where is this spot located at!!
Sup Dan what do you think about the slingshot 1328 by century rod paired with a 2020 Saltiga 10k for the canal ?
@@DanEvan thanks Dan appreciate it only reason I got the 10k I got it for a steal $600 brand new of fb market from a local guy lol

Hi, what are the pros and cons with having the bottom guide on the top half of the 50/50 vs on the bottom half of the 50/50?

Great looking rod. What is the power and action?
So don’t really go off power ratings with surf rods but it’s rated as fast action rod but I’d say it’s more moderate/fast with lure rating of 4-10 oz but is more like 2-8....you could certainly throw 8 and bait but I wouldn’t want to throw a dense 10 oz jig with it....or at all lol

@@DanEvan thanks bud appreciate the info, those are the worst months here so it kinda makes sense. I’ll be coming up around that time for sure. Tight lines
Hey ... when did you make that video?
Months ago
I use 40 lbs braid line, do you think a monsters like those can brake a 40 lbs braid line, i also use 80 lbs fluorocarbon for my leader
I’ve used 40lb and caught plenty of big fish on it. It’s perfectly fine.
@@DanEvan thanks bro 👌
Yeah i like it because its feel good for casting far
@@DanEvan thank bro amzing information i appreciate you so much,

Thanks man. Yeah I stil mess around with some stuff here and there
Is that a 70 /30 split rod ?

@@DanEvan yeah all i need is to 2oz min. I have the tfo for small light lures. But needed this beefy one for bigger lures. Thanks.
Those were cows
How will you recommend jig the canal ?
I watch people doing slow with aggressive pulls, and other people doing fast without being aggressive on the pulls ?
So I’d say it all depends on the type of jig you’re using. Paddle tail, rat tail (straight tail), bucktail (feather dressed or sparse), diamond jig (metals)? I fish them all differently due to their sink rates and characteristics in the current so if you can give me what you’re throwing, I’d be happy to give you my input. Cheers man, and thank you.
@@DanEvan hello man, I usally use algags jigs and savage gear saneeld jigs.
I don't fish the canal very often but I would like to get an idea on how to jigs with them
@@l_ogi_l2039 So those are both paddletail style jigs. Those can be fished a number of different ways. What rod are you using for jigging the canal?
@@DanEvan I'm using a tsunami airwave elite 11'4 extra heavy 4-8 oz

TIA
Phillip Saephan the rod itself is always going to be a 50/50 split. The guide placement doesn’t dictate Where the factory wants to cut the blank.
Phillip Saephan the rod coming apart while casting is just due to not setting the ferrule properly. Let me find a link to a video about how to properly put your rod together

Dan Evan Fishing dan you couldn’t have said it any better!
WTF? Do you even fish bro? What's the other option.....10lb mono on a 7ft ugly stick? LMAO!
Nice catches but not the best fights with that ultra heavy setup
