Definitely another product I had to pass on. These old companies just aren’t it anymore. They have the budget so I’m not understanding why they aren’t putting out quality products or better products from their previous releases.
Might be a higher torque motor at the same rpm. I guess you would have to compare the feel when using it, but surprisingly you found the older one worked better.
A clipper motor is usually slower RPM’s but stronger. I feel the new blades are not as good as the all steel. If you switch the new Detailer with the old blades, you might see a difference.
now i realize everyones got their own preferances, but personally i love Wahl ...& i love the old detailers... so the idel of some new ones, in gold, to match my new gold magics? ...yes please! ...& unlike anything from gamma/styletrash, its a Wahl machine, so IT WILL WORK right outta the box & itll last Forever & A Day ...& ur not gonna see it re-labeled later as a monster or a p.o.b. copycat because after doin a lil diggin u discover theyre all the same garbage & u realize u just got swindled into spending "premium tool" money on a cheap generic "white label tool" ...Wahl has served me, my mother, my father, my cousin, my aunt, & my uncle, faithfully for multiple generations now, so ill spend my dollars accordingly ...always enjoy ur vids bro, thanx
Wahl has being around for a very long time man. It kicked off everything fir barbers. In my opinion. The detailer and wahl in general are ogs of barbering kingdom 💯
Riddle me this? Perhaps the reason they have similar Rpms is because” it’s not about about the speed at which something moves thats determining something’s performance output but instead more about the ability to deliver “Consistent” results while actually preforming during service”? You know what I mean? Like… the ability of the Clipper motor being used in a trimmers body being able to out perform a trimmer in a trimmer body because of the fact that the clipper motor is significantly more powerful in its strokes that it requires less speed to perform the same duties as it takes the trimmer motor. I should make a YT video about this question Speed vs Force?
Based on ur experience, would u recommend someone buying the gold detailer IF they didn't have the original in cordless? Or just spend 50 bucks less for the originals?
I put the original blade on it from my old pair it works bad ass now the blade it came with is no good it would bogged down with bulk and would snag hair …
The previous ‘colour ways’ matched though haha. Personally i think the gold looks cheap and tacky but each to their own i guess…. Everyone has they’re own taste 😂 wahl need to release new blades for there clippers & trimmers. I feel like people just want something different now.
@@THEGREATGUSTAVOJAIMES babyliss with the lo pro fx one is phenomenal highly recommend, sc can be good, but if you havent tried the lo pro fx i highly recommend it, it does everything the senior does with way more tech, replaceable battery, self lubricating blades so it doesnt heat up like before, and alot of power, doesnt snag
I have never tried the gold one but for sure I can tell that the malfunctions you are talking about are due to the cutting blade on it. These clipper companies have been producing crap blades and that black cutting blade seems to be the run of the mil crap material they are using nowadays. Nothing beats metal on metal in my experience. It’s pathetic to see these old great companies produce lackluster products now to try and keep up with these younger companies who are quite frankly…kicking their a**.
Probably same rpm but the old one motor sounds louder so the app reads it higher and the new one sounds butter

Should I get the gold blade replacement or the silver steel one?

I had the same problem and I did a short video did free style designs with golds that’s all it’s good for for now

Was the new gold detailer fully charged before your rpm test?
I charged it over night

Yeah for sure
Could it being new play a factor ?
Who knows 🤷🏽♂️
Does it allow you to use the edges to cut out designs on someone's head or beard?
Do you know where u can find the gold blades for detailers li
Saludos desde Montana USA 🇺🇲
Do they take the same chargers?
Awesome review yk what I’m saying ❤
Lol
Hey man I'm trying lol
a more powerful motor won't run on as many RPM just think of a car higher gear higher RPM slower speed lower RPM lower gear more speed.
andis and wahl are just outclassed by competitors, they failed to listen to barbers, i mean look at the revite, it’s terrible
Facts lol
Andis listen Matt andis been changing the game listening to us barbers and working to make changes
So what companies are selling better clippers than them?
