@@SandMan-e3i i was saying the magic clips magic is its blade. If u put its blade on any other clipper it would cut the same or better. The magic clips specs are very depressing in 2024.

I still use magic clip and cordless wahl seniors. I put the tomb 45 battery on the magic clip and put style craft fade blade and style craft deep tooth cutting blade. Cuts and fades really great

It gets the job done it gets you from point A to point B. Its all preference. I prefer to spend less and mod it how to I like it then spend more and be having issues later down the road.
Just bought these for my daughter (16) shes really into her and blowouts and fades for her friends. She likes cutting so i wanted her to have some to feel good about. Thanks great vid
Does the corded version of the Magic Clip also come with the stagger tooth blade? Their website says something about zero-overlap on the corded one but I'm guessing it should be adjustable because afaik they both have the same taper blade.
I still rock with my OG black & gold magic clips! Its the oldest clipper in my line up but it's never given me issues (the Toyota pickup of clippers 😅) I also have that G whiz trimmer, a tio to get them to hit: use high output rechargeable lithium batteries and take one of the screws off the blade. Not great for debulking but sharp linners
I bought a corded magic clip a few weeks ago just to use on myself. Corldess would be sweet but it was an extra 100$ i dont have lol. Seems like a solid set of clippers sofar. Do feel like it pulls some hair on my head. More then my old cheap set did. What would be a good blade upgrade?.
@AnthonyCutzzz I'm from Canada. Corded magic clip is 107 plus tax and cordless is 180 plus tax. So not quite 100$ more I guess but enough to make it out of my budget at the time lol.
I had one for a couple years and liked it a lot...I am now in the market for another clipper, was wondering if I should go ahead and buy another Magic Clip.
I came out of school with corded, but get a cordless something. I had a magic, bu it set itself on fire. Seems to be a semi common problem, the insides aren't blocked from clipper disinfectant spray seeping into the motor and electrical bits. I'm on tpob and the Wahl Big Mag and Mini Mag. Big mag has good range for fades, tpob had good equipment for a good price and longer run time than most. But you'll find your favorites eventually. Also if you're a lefty, Big Mag is more ambidextrous than anything else except the detachable A5 oster/andis clippers.
@@youngvet1993 I don’t think Wahl cares much about cordless anything tbh… they know that shit ain’t gonna last 😂 so from a business standpoint point why would a company that’s known for reliable corded tools waste effort into rechargeable battery operated $.73 rotary motor plastic toys… that’s a liability so they gotta sell it for literally 130 times more than it’s worth because they know they’ll be receiving a shit ton of returns and repairs…. my personal opinion as a professional barber of 30+ years... i say until someone else creates a "STAGGERTOOTH" cutting blade as good at blending as the magics, everything else on my station is "INFERIOR" when it comes to fades ...the only issue i ever had with the O.G. magics was their lack of power, so either get the NEW gold magics with the more powerful motor, or just swap a staggertooth magic cutting blade onto a senior (using either a bottom stationary taper or a fade blade either one is chalked up to personal preference) & uve got a machine thatll knock out dang near anything u throw at it! (except flat tops, but thats what jrl's are for, right?!?) thank u sir
@@BradTheBarber1 i hear ya... i did the same thang... threw a staggertooth blade on both my old seniors ...then later, when it came to market, bought the new gold ones... that staggertooth blade really helped me tighten up my fade-game... its like slapping a texturizing shear on the end of ur clipper
I've been cutting for about 15 years and I would say that if you're still using the Staggertooth blade and you cut a variety of hair types, you either fade slower, fade poorly, or both - that blade cannot do what a standard blade does, which is why none of the premium Wahl blades ship with it. Imagine that you had a hand saw (because that essentially what a clipper blade is) and you were looking for the best blade - you would notice that there are no saws with varied length teeth, because it counterproductive to cutting anything. Both the longer and shorter (and thinner) teeth on the Staggertooth end up cutting the same exact hair but the initial cutting only happens with the longer teeth - if you ever wonder why it feels like they don't get through thicker hair as easily, this is why. That blade is a gimmick and nothing more.
