Best Australian review so far. Only thing you missed is ride comfort and NVH. Is it comfortable in normal or still stiff and annoying? I know you said there’s a bit of road noise, how would you rate it compared to other cars in this price category (not even necessarily EVs but things like the Q8, cayenne, etc)?
@ Haha - true true! Brand for some customers means more than anything. Probably did not help I watched this video before yours: ua-cam.com/video/kKcVOiIAyzk/v-deo.html. Gave me ideas….
Yeah, right! 5 N better in straight line comparison. Driving dynamics, ride and handling, the feel and precision of the steering wheel, nimbleness in corners, NVH control, sheer pleasure in driving, interior and exterior quality are all pieces that make up a good car. Porsche is simply in a different league in terms of chassis, body, structural rigidity, quality of the components and service and image.
Unfortunately I’m not paying this kind of dole for a car that is already superseded in tech at release. Nice as it is and for someone who has owned the ICE turbo version in the past, the EV is not an attractive proposition for its price
Buys the Macan 4 in 2025 150k. Goes to trade in 2027 now worth 65k. Tell me I'm wrong in two years. It's a beautiful car but priced in the ridiculous category when compared to others and you will be crying when you decide to move it on.
Does Porsche offer GFV on these? Didn't think so. This situation would only work on a 2 yr lease with GFV, so yes effectively renting the car and returning it with no residual. 150k relative to its rivals is ludicrous. Yes it's a Porsche but so what no one will care in three years.
Yeah love the car but ( yes way out of my league money wise ) whats the depreciation going to be ??? I guess if you lease your Porsches then its a no brainer to buy !! This car is a really good gauge / seller of the MG cyberster at these current prices whats the new Porsche EV convertible going to cost with the same 400kw plus drive train ?? north side of 160k maybe 180k plus being a vert ?? making the Cyberster a compelling option in the 400kw AWD convertible EV market !!
@@therightcar that is the BIG problem with ANYTHING Ev at the moment !! I went to volvo to look at the EX30 ( how to put it the Ex30 is only 30k more than my X power so just for prices and giggles) what would be the final figure if i traded my X power in on a EX30 .. Sales lady said we wont touch a used EV there is literally NO value in it to either us or a wholesaler .. You want to buy the EX30 or ( which i found amusing trying to flog zeekr over there volvo brand ) Zeekr your better to lease it for 3 years then send it back and re lease !! i guess the best outcome is to buy a cheaper Chinese EV and throw it away when the warranty runs out / it starts to cost to much to fix !!
I can not keep wondering if this design could be transfered into MPV from porsche. With this power, 4 wheel drive , but also with sliding doors, 7 proper seats. As n MPV it should have even bigger battery - 110kwh, but still. Phev version of that imaginary car would dbe great as well :)
How so? Porsche have actually got a really good range of both petrol and electric vehicles. If you have this kind of money then porsche would be right up there. The problem for brands like VW is that they are playing directly against the chinese, these things are not.
A beautiful-looking depreciation machine. Thanks for the interesting video.
$60K in two years will be a sweet deal.
Nice but way out of my league, Kia ev3 review next please
Ordered mine, delivery early December - cannot wait!
Great review as always, Would you choose this or Polestar 3 ?

These are going to be bargains in 2-5 years second hand. Feel sorry for the people who pay full price brand new
IONIQ 5 N is surely the best comparison. Driving dynamics, power and even luxury…. Yep it’s a Hyundai but they knocked it out of the park!
You think a Porsche customer would be seen with a Hyundai in their driveway??

Which car is superseding in tech? Some Chinese crap? Thanks. I am driving a Porsche man!

I thought you might have thrown the Polestar 4 in the mix especially given Polestar have been very clear that the Macan is in his sights!
I haven’t driven it so can’t say if it’s a good option or not. I’ve asked! Hopefully will do a review in due course.

A valid question, and likely depreciation will be worse than any ICE Porsche.

Isn't that one of the cars that sent a ship into, davy jones locker in the Atlantic Ocean
This looks like BYD sealion 7 but I would get Mahindra BE 9e
Theres no comparison
@@charleshardingham4863 I suggest you view the reviews focussing on the driving experience. You may find it good in few ways if not many.

My Kia carnival has all of this! 75k
And it’s a Kia Carnival, which is great! But it’s not a Porsche electric SUV.
