the ingredients are :
Coconut Oil : it nourishes, moisturises and lightens your skin tan.
Wild Ginger : soothes the skin and helps prevent infections and rashes.
Lime Peel Oil : for a refreshing cooling effect and rich, penetrating lather with an astringent action.
Hydnocarpus Oil : helps prevent skin problems, rashes and outbreaks.
Orange Oil : tightens pores, helps prevent pimples and blackheads.

Apart from what is mentioned in this video you should also know that the following about the company that makes Chandrika soap. It was created in 1940 and has never used animal fat nor done animal testing in it's entire history. The late founder of the company believed in helping the community so all the factories are still labor intensive meaning no machines replacing humans. The family that continues to run the business also still runs the non profit hospital and school created by the founder. Pls support this soap as it is one of the few cosmetics companies that has had ethics not because it is forced on by law but because it was started by a good human being.

best soap that i have ever used. i use it for bathing as well as washing my face. many people asked what beauty products did i use as they noticed that i have very smooth and fair skin on my face. in fact i am already 59 years old. i always say CHANDRIKA the best cheap and good soap.

I started using this when I was like 18 and I'm 53 now still loving it. Feels very clean on the skin after every shower. Go ahead use it to wash your hair too it feels great too. Only complain is it dissolves quickly buy hey it costs only 45 UScents for a 75g piece of soap I shouldn't complain.

Best herbal soap,sweet and simple
This has been my primary soap for 20 years and I love it. A single bar lasts me 4-6 weeks.. so something is VERY different with this guy’s storage or use to go through the same amount after only a few days

Ahhh, I've been waiting for this review for a while. This has been my go-to bar for five years or so. I use to live around Savannah, GA and I would go to this really small organic grocery store in downtown and pick this bar up for $1.50 a bar. When I visit my parents I still will go to that place and buy it and it's still $1.50. I've wanted you to review it because I love it, but I think after years I have a lot of nostalgia with it so I could never tell if it was a good bar or not. My wife refuses to use it! She says it dries her out too much. Thanks BarSoap Guy!

I LOVE this soap. It is my absolute fave. It smells INCREDIBLE! I was going to suggest you review it, but searched first to see if you already had. The cheapest (I'm in Canada) I've been able to find it for is 2.49+tax. I adore it. Like you, I also wish it came in a bigger bar. I don't want to use any other soap. Its lather is also excellent. One tip for this bar - store it OUT of your shower to make it last longer. I remove it from my shower after each use. In fact, as soon as I use it, right back out in my soap holder it goes until the next shower.

Thanks for the review. I do love this savon. It's my nomber#1. I discovered this shandrika green color at the first time I tour crazy with his nice perfume. Now it's my all purpose savon. I use for skin. Face. And I have started using for hair as champoo.(hopefully it's not harmful for my natural hair and scarf). I wish I fine this same shandrika. Grandpas pine tar soap has a great scent to it (if you want that our door aroma ), then there's also somerset toiletries tropical fruits strawberry and papaya bar soap (which made my top five favorite bar soaps of 2015)

how will I identify if my chandrika is legit? got mine and the packaging is a little different from what I saw on reviews.
I'd check for the inner white wrap, I doubt counterfeiters would waste money reproducing it .
This one is the original product.The company now produces two other varieties.Still this is the best.

I like a scent as well packaging but it makes a mess on sink and shower area that green stain omg!

Oh man, I would never have thought anyone else would ever use this stuff. I bought it once, was not a fan.
yeah it's not for everyone ... i think if i had reviewed this in my first year of looking at soaps i wouldn't have been so hot for it , but as time has gone on i find myself more open to different products .
Hmmm they changed the ingredients. They're cutting cost. There's no more scandalwood, orange oil,, hydnocarpus. They also added WAX as a filler.
And the fragance have largely milder now.
It's not the same anymore.
That sucks ....

I bought mine at the dollar store if I recall so I mean it can’t even be THAT expensive to produce ...I’d rather they just raise the price by 30 cents vs degrading the soaps .

Smells a lot like the old formula for Grandpa’s Witch Hazel.
Been using this soap for many years and the last batch smells horrible. It smells sour and not of the essential oils.

Yes,one of the best soaps from India.
Only saponificated oils in it,no chemical.
It may dry the skin after couple showers but you can do a swich soaps
It good for oil skin
My go to No.1 is Chandrika Sandal soap
