I run dual electric fans and mishimoto radiator and borg warner non vgt setup if you get the fan controller kit its a add a fuse and when your normal fan would come on the fans come on. The only issue I have is if you take the truck on a long trip and stop and idle for a little the temps climb a little I wired a "override switch" so I can turn it on before stopping
You also don't want the fans to run 24/7 you may need a upgraded altenator and anything colder than 70 the fans can actually overcool the engine it won't ever get hot
You should really look into getting bulletproof diesel air to oil cooler and it involves remote oil filter too mounted on the frame I run Cat and Fleetguard and sometimes Donaldson filters
Thanks for all the info. I already have a upgraded alternator and I’m personally just not a fan of the air-oil cooler from bd…. I’m looking for as clean of a engine bay “emptiness” so to say , as possible. So that’s why I wanted the e fans in the first place. So I’m gunna give them a try I think and see what happens. Probably will just put them on a switch / & fuse like you were talking about. This is good info to know. Thanks again for watching
@@JUSTINHAWKSMITH i don't run the traditional Air to oil cooler. or remote oil cooler. Mine deletes whole upper mess on the motor. Mine is just a radiator 1/4 the size of the Coolant radiator. and 2 hoses coming from it. ran off to the driver side of the motor under the Intake. the "intake oil" goes to the filter mounted on the frame rail under cab right around where the OEM HFCM goes. and the then a oil line from that to the cooler and then that output goes to the plate where the oil cooler goes. Makes oil temps Soo Soo much less tempramental. and it also means you can run ANY coolant. and don't need a coolant filtration kit. also the Metal mesh on the plate is way way more durable than the flimsly plastic things. you can run the truck hotter. for longer. tow heavier. and not risk major damage from all the stock plastic compnets in the stock oil system.
i would know i've been running only big tunes and towing heavy and the trucks made 700 HP and 1400 tourqe at the rear wheels for over 210,000 miles. my EGT's only go up to 1100 at most the Non VGT borg warner 369 SXE does an excellent job at spooling so its daily friendly. i get 15 PSI at 1800 RPM and if i am WOT i get around 60 PSI at 2400.
i also run 175/30 injectors from warren might get holders soon the injectors have been in for 150,000 miles.
PS. i love a empty looking engine bay. I can literally stand infront of my engine and work on it in the truck. I've had to do 2 IPR valves and it was a breeze don't have anything to take off other than my 4 inch intake pipe and K&N oiled filter.
my truck also gets 30+ MPG highway not towing. on my tow tune and my biggest tune.
I really hope to see the truck go along further. i've been inbetween jobs i want to build my truck out like yours frame plates and stuff. just i really dig factory look. just all upgraded componets. i got a 2005 F250 harley davidson edition. its a sweet ride.
PS. my transmission is a red diamond diesel stage 3. its been in the truck issue free for a little over 8 years now.

Why would you go tighter than what ARP says that’ makes no sense basically making the head stud weaker.
They’ve changed their torque spec around multiple times. Definitley doesn’t make it weaker so to say. Just changes clamping strength. But these are gator studs , and they recommend to torque to 240ft lb , so he torqued them to 245 , like he has all his trucks arp / gator , any and all he does. Just preference
