On behalf of Dante (since he is to humble to say it himself)… this is an absolute scam. There is one greatest chapter master and every damn soul in the imperium knows him.
They didn't add it because too epic, it's like a meme I saw a long time ago where some say he's half primarch for more time of service than sanguinius and that he is (ambassador of important dudes) every time they break his back hahahha
Dante: “please, just let me die” Sanguinius: “You are my strongest warrior.” Dante: “But can’t Mephiston actually just stop time or som-“ Sanguinius: “NUH UH, now let me revive you again.”
Well… MR bones hates space wolves and doesn’t like the blood angels much. So it’s to be expected Grimnar is an absolute badass… but the fact that Helbracht and Dante weren’t on the list is just bullshit.
As a space wolves fan, I can live without grimnar here. Honestly, Arthur not being a Wolves fan, it’s to be expected. But Dante?! He’s such an easy pick for a top 5 list.
@@fluffywolfo3663 to be honest… Grimnar is one of the greatest. Imagine you are a civilian under mortal danger… who would you rather come to your rescue? Logan Grimnar or Asterion Moloc. Who do you think is universally more respected and acclaimed? Grimnar no doubt. Many people just don’t like space wolves. And because of that lot of awesome characters get shafted.
I always assumed the Sword Bearer title for the Emperors Spears was more to refrence King Arthur and Excalibur. Since the Espears are Celtic themed space marines right down to their complicated relationship with Space Rome i figured the High King would be the Bearer of a powerful sword relic as an indication of his office.
I went to check their Chapter relics, and they do have a Power Sword called the "Horizon Blade", but the Lexicanum article on it doesn't really specify whether it's the High King's sword
My pick for 5 greatest Chapter Masters: - Dante (In short: Becoming Warden of Imperium Nihilus and being called the closest thing to a brother he has in these times by Guilliman makes him more than deserving a top 5 spot.) - Marneus Calgar (Despite not liking the blue Posterboys except for Guilliman, because he is actually interesting, it is undeniable, that he has done great deeds and is deserving of a top 5 spot.) - Helbrecht (That man is a beast and he was watched over by the Aquilan Shield until he was recruited by the Black Templars.) - Asterion Moloch (Welll ... Everything said in this video.) - Kaldor Draigo (He is OP af and that's not a good thing. But if we go by greatest he has to be in here.) My personal top 5: - Dante - Tyberos the Red Wake - Gabriel Seth - Jubal Khan - Asterion Moloch
I absolutely adore these colabs videos man. I think yours channel is the only that do this and its amazing. Pls make more in the future and all the best to you man. Been watching since the first funny 40k moments video and i couldn't be any happier for the channel growth
Gonna be honest spears of the emporer sound like an irish based chapter with the chapter madter being high king and their homeworld basically being ireland and i love it
Holy shit the black guard was brought up now that’s badass as they are underrated as they are the shadow wardens aka Corvus Coraxs bodyguards/honor guard the elite of the elite and most badass now great at artillery ambushes
Black guard Coms be like "I wonder if you know How they live in Tokyo If you seen it, then you mean it Then you know you have to go Fast and Furious! (drift, drift, drift)"
While I do appreciate and love more creators working together and share more warhammer content, but what's unique about your channel is how your voice casually explains lore and things about W40K is so relaxing and which is what attracts people to your channel, which this video completely lost, but it is an amazing video, its just the opposite direction from your relaxed voice
pls do Gabriel Angelos, he fought chaos, orks and eldar all at the same time with his own company like 3 times and won. He then pushed back a tyranid fleet by himself, hunted down black legion and banished Ulkair AND Kyras, then redeemed his own chapter from heavy chaos curroption while his chapter lost 3 companies because of STEEHL REIHN. He did all of that while being hunted by his own renegade brothers and chapter master
Since I usually had your videos as background noises while I work, I had to looked back and make sure youtube didnt fucked up and make me jump videos since the voices was different lol
15:50 same bubba. Raven Guard successors are so interesting, same with Iron Hands. It feels like more thought is put into their successors than Ultramarines and IF because of the massive lack of them.
I love how the video starts with the Ultramarines and Calgar then ends with a chapter that hates them and with the High King telling them to kick rocks😂. Love ES for that.
I know jack all about warhammer. But love the tide series and love dark tide so wanted to know lore….I watched your 4 hr vid… thank you. Extremely helpful and cleared a lot up
I can’t believe there’s someone to this day that still huffs Calgar’s farts as much as Matt Ward. Almost makes me wanna start hating the Ultrasmurfs again.
My personal top 10 (in no particular order) ● Kaldor Draigo - He fought a transfigured Primarch, carved a name in his heart, was banished to live out what's left of his life in the warp and lived. ● Dante - Oldest Astartes not entombed in a Dreadnought sarcophagus, defeated a greater Bloodthirster, fistbumped the Silent King like it's no biggie, and his finest hour is still yet to come. ●Jubal Khan - He fought Abaddon and laughed his ass off. He's basically Sigismund, but more relaxed and groovy. ● Logan Grimnar - Bellicose, "streetwise" and based as fuck. Doesn't give two shits about the Inquisition. Uses a dog whistle to summon Grey Knights. ● Azrael - Bellicose, tactically astute, and arrogant as fuck. Stubborn and thick as pig shit when it comes to holding banners and fighting at the same time, but practically unkillable. ● Helbrecht - He fought Imotekh, lost but lived, wised up and humbled a fucking phaeron of the Sautekh Dynasty - possibly one of the most accomplished tacticians in the universe. ● Tyberos the Red Wake - A Primarch-sized murder-machine, causes Drukhari, Night Lords, and renegade chapter masters to literally shit their pants without saying a fucking word. ● Asterion Moloc - Could duel and probably beat a Custodian Warden, or duel a Shield Captain into a draw on his best day. Unfortunately, pants-on-head crazy - little more than a puppet. ● Gabriel Seth - Makes most World Eaters look like T'au. ● Gabriel Angelos - Swallowed a train-wreck of a life and crapped out victory, single-handedly redeeming a practically doomed chapter and a star system. Too sharp to fall even for Harlequin's tricks.
Im glad there were a few interesting obscure ones like the blackguard and the emperors spears. as much as the big boys like astarion moloch and marneus calgar are cool theres like a million videos about them already. I mean dante is cool but im really glad i didnt have to listen to another dante synopsis in this one.
MY favorite is Chapter Master Kevin of the Space Kevins. The position of Chapter Master is also known als Alpha Kevin. Space Kevins are a successor of the Imperial Kevins, Legion of the The Primarch Malagator Kevin, also just known as Kevin or Kevin the Kevin.
Asterion Moloc will always be my favorite, the scene where he’s actively screwing with the imperial fists during their little council will always be one of my favorite scenes in the lore 😂

My favourite chapter master is a hard question... I'll follow my heart and say Firstblade Sentor Jool is, his sacrifice and unwavering loyalty (despite being trusted by no one and hated by most) are really awe inspiring, plus firstblade is awesome as a title
I wonder if a canon explanation for why some space marnines manages to do so much could be that some of their primarch's "special source" rubbed off of them through either luck or the raw potency of their souls and made them have a much much lesser version, allowing them to tap into a by far inferior version of their primarch's special talents. No idea if there exists any material at all to support this theory, but it seems like plausible one to me.

Good work team! Tyberos would like a word with a few of your choices.
As a Carcharodons player I STRONGLY second this
As a player for the best chapter, I support this action
I agree that he'd object but not verbally. Not even a single word.
On behalf of Dante (since he is to humble to say it himself)… this is an absolute scam. There is one greatest chapter master and every damn soul in the imperium knows him.
The codex astardes supports this action
Such a great line up of chapter masters - incredible work Arthur!
Finally someone that aknowledges Carab Culln is an absolute HERO OF THE IMPERIUM
Oh hey there Astartes
Thank you for this great video, and amazing chance to show my favourite bronze boy!
Thank you for inviting the crew in! Was super fun making our little bit : )
“They dropped a tank on my head!” -Dr. Horrible, traitor astartes apothecary, after a battle with the Black Guard
"I'm not supervillain material, at my most badass I just make people feel like taking a shower" -Moist, Deathguard initiate
I appreciate it brother
Shout out to Gabriel Angelos, chapter master of the blood ravens. The only Space Marine canonically able to perform acrobatics in terminator armor.
I love that acrobatic terminator armour was what people *think* ruined DoW3.
He has the same yoga teacher as Logan 😂
Please be Dante please be Dante
>Don'te 🤌
Old man Dante telling the primaris marines to get off his lawn

Keep in mind it's "5 of the greatest", not "the 5 greatest" and it's nice to see some lesser known names on there ^^
Pancreas simping hard over the blueberry in chief wasnt something i knew i needed to hear today
There are 3 things he simps for: Elves, Karl Franz, and the smurfs
I'm more hyped for a Mr Bones/PancreasNoWork collab than I am to actually find out who they cover
You know lore crimes yeah?
@@ian5395 of course!
@@ian5395the episode Mr Bones was in, he was subbing in for Pancreas who was out at the time
Gabriel Angelos will always be my favourite Chapter Master
The one space marine strong enough to do a flip in terminator armour 😂
What a lovely lineup of guys you have there! Both in cameos from the lads AND in choice of chapter masters. Beautiful video!
Great to see @GrimDarkHalfOff! Been a minute since I’ve watched his channel, really liked his Conan deep dives
