There is always something to be said about having a different, more unique car at classic car shows. Showing up with just another flavor of the same car others brought to the show doesn't have the same impact.
For sure. That’s one of the things I’ve enjoyed the most about owning the Rambler so far. It’s easy to pick many classics out but not many people seemed to know what I was driving.
We had a white 1962 Classic station wagon that my mother learned to drive on. It still had a generator; the warning light came on whenever we'd come to a stop.
I’m pretty sad as well! 🙁 I do wish I could keep both cars. It’s a fun little cruiser! I currently have the car listed for $7,500 in hopes of offsetting most of the cost of the work and initial cost that I’ve put into this car and the other. Time shall tell.
You could bring this car to the attention of the AMC club. They may know of someone looking for a car like that. Also there is a place called the Rambler Ranch in Colorado that collects all AMC cars. They have restored hundreds of them.
The Rambler Ranch is over-flowing with cars. They won't buy it unless is already restored and they don't have that model in stock. Your best bet is AMC Clubs in USA and Canada.
My cousin had one back in the 70s and people would mistake it for an older Mercedes…I thought that was crazy until it happened…just to say the comment was made at night…. I hope will love this car as it deserves 😊
I actually had someone tell me the other day that the shape of the car reminded them of a Mercedes. At a certain angle I kind of see it myself! It’s been a great car for me and I’m hoping I can find an owner who will appreciate it for the cool piece of history that it is.
@@mpt.yt4 it's ok, later in life go for a Javelin or Airflyte. as a kid my gramps had a Panhard PL 17. we loved that car, white with red interior, it rumbled and spit but when parts became almost impossible to get in the early 60s he sold it. do what you gotta do.
Those are cool looking cars. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one before. It would be cool for sure to have my hands on another AMC someday down the road. A Javelin would be cool for sure. Maybe someday once I have my own garage.
It's a nice car you should hang onto it. I have a '63 model 550 2 door Rambler that is fully restored, love that little car.
I’d love to hold onto it, but unfortunately I don’t have the money for it. It’s a great little car though! The two door Ramblers are pretty sweet!
The 64 Rambler Ambassador was my first car . I loved it . Great college car .Had 8 cylinders and rust . Great Memories !
Cool! Two door?
No 4 door @@mpt.yt4
Sorry to see it go, but I understand why. Good luck and I hope that you make a profit on the resale.
Thanks!
Crazy turnaround
Much quicker than I had expected😬😬

Nice cliffhanger... not telling us about your next car. I'm so sad you're selling the Rambler!! How much?

If only they knew about the absolute steal you got on another vehicle they’ll see soon
😏😏 Just couldn’t resist this one

Great idea! I’ll let them know. I’m sure a club member would take good care of it. And that’s pretty neat! Never heard of Rambler Ranch before.
Google it on your phone or internet. . It is a great place to see all things AMC related. I saw a lot about it on YOU TUBE@@mpt.yt4

Still have it?
I do, still up for sale.
This is so good
When I was growing up, this was the official car of old Baptists. That said, they were pretty good cars; good interior space, easy to work on, comfy.
They’re comfortable cars for sure! Very good layout of space in those.

Check on classic car insurance like Hagerty. I pay $550 a year to insure both 1972 Olds Cutlasses, full drivable coverage.
you have commitment issues
Ouch. I can’t say you’re wrong though.
Trust me, I’d love to keep it if I could and I definitely would if money and storage space weren’t issues.

Did you sell it. I'd love to get one to do a complete restoration
I have not sold it yet. It is still for sale.
Did someone buy it yet bro
Not yet
My guess for your new car is a 2024 Ford Taurus
Not quite 🤔
