Hi all, I figured I’d make this comment to address the continued criticisms I get for this video. First of all, obviously it is my mistake that I did not know you could disable GUI animations in settings. Secondly, I have some people assuming Bedrock runs poorly because I have a bad PC. In reality, I have an RTX 2060 graphics card, and the supposed “worse-running” version of Minecraft (Java) runs at a consistent ~150fps, while Bedrock struggles to keep a consistent 30fps. Anyone assuming that it was simply my PC holding me back is just wrong. As for the invisible zombie glitches, just because you’ve never experienced them doesn’t mean they aren’t real. This shouldn’t have to be said. Input lag is a genuine issue across every version of Bedrock that I’ve played (this also includes console and mobile). Anyone even trying to defend the micro-transactions kind of baffles me. Enough said. Nonetheless, I mean no animosity toward these criticisms I’ve gotten. If you enjoy Bedrock, of course continue to do so.
Everything about Minecraft bedrock edition is bad because IT SHOULD JUST BE DISCONTINUED SINCE EVERY MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION PLAYERS ARE JUST A BUNCH OF IDIOTS WHO DON'T DESERVE TO BE ABLE TO PLAY MINECRAFT
Better Together was a great idea, but in practice it ruined all the streamlined things that the individual versions had developed specifically for their platforms. Years of development to make Minecraft as intuitive and quick as possible on their specific platforms were thrown out in favor of what was essentially the mobile version being put on consoles and computers so they could play together. In the end, the trade-off doesn't feel worth it. At least not to me.
i think this is the comment with most likes on this video hahaha, even if all of the work that was put into every invidividual version was wasted playing together is imo a really fair trade i can't imagine how many people wouldn't be able to play with friends because of how many versions there would be if the better together update was never added
The silly thing is, Java is actually much easier to port than C++ (the programming language Bedrock uses) Some people will say C++ is better for performance but that doesn't really stop whoever programmed Bedrock from making it this slow
pocket edition was already coded in C++ and ig the devs were too lazy to rewrite the whole game so they took pocket and made it work like PC but still be usable on mobile
for most of the history of the 2 editions, Java's performance has been ABYSMAL. Unfortunately, 1.18 was the update that totally ruined Bedrock's performance.
Oddly enough, I've never really had issues with Bedrock's performance, even on Android. Runs like a dream on an Android handheld I bought, even in a _996GB_ world that I put about 1000 hours into.
Guys why I hate bedrock edition because of always say bedrock is trash before these videos I was like bedrock and it's my main version because I play in mobile and I can't do anything and everyone say bedrock is bad and he doesn't know what the amazing futures in bedrock and didn't try the hive server just try bedrock and after trying say if it bad and bedrock is not just Pay to win if want more information just see evidentp video 100 good about bedrock and you will change your mine about bedrock edition
To be fair the only reason why a lot of people play bedrock is because they don't have a pc, because if they had a pc the java version would be way more played
@@Sethdaknowledgeseeker no, Pocket Edition included 3 Platforms which I like to call OG Bedrock Trinity which are Android, Windows and iOS) it was renamed Bedrock Edition during Better Togetherness Update where they added Console support which ruined Bedrock's image because Consoles just sucks, they're the reason why you see so many bugs posted by reddit users on their terrible consoles
It's pretty funny how literally every single console edition (3ds doesn't count, it's closer to bedrock) is better put together than bedrock will ever be.
@@Averagecapitalist124 "consoles are the ones that are ruining bedrock's reputation" what you said is funy cause Bedrock ruin its own reputation by exsisting.
Bedrock edition is a mobile game. It’s like the saying “a team is only as strong as its weakest member” and the mobile version is the weakest. Not only does the performance of the game get capped at phone level, but features from Java that would work perfectly well for console and pc versions of bedrock (e.g. fully implemented Offhand) have to be removed for the sake of mobile players. The code for mobs is terrible, being comparable to beta versions of minecraft. And the amount of glitches that will cause to die or take damage randomly. It’s amazing people think Hardcore mode would possibly work in this game.
Mobile thing ruined entire Bedrock thing. Cross-platform is one of worst things in gaming industry, because PC and Console games sacrifice features just for fitting limited mobile performance.
@@Likorys888 what a bad take, it’s literally Minecraft, a cubic world, phones can run games 100 times more demanding than that, and if you hate it so much then play java edition. Crossplay is actually the coolest feature, if you don’t have friends to play with that’s your problem
this man's computer hates bedrock edition more than he does, majority of the bugs don't actually happen as often as it feels it does primarly due to the memes surrounding them (prompting people to fake). I also would like to point out that importing 2d custom skins is literally 2-clicks while you make it sound like it's a full blown process: it is not. anyways, what I wanted to say is that you mention Bedrock remaining in Java shadow in a way that it will never reach the same level as java but frakly everthing im modern Minecraft progress seems to be indicating the opposite, for one, there is no feature in java edition that it pchsically immposible to add to bedrock and seeing as mojang is striving towards parity in the past few years I doubt bedrock will remain irelevant tothe minecraft brand. I also noticed that majority of the "parity changes" always derive off of java and alter the way things were before on bedrock, following this train of logic it would be innevatble that bedrock would outplay java for its forever exclusive features that javascript simply does not support, like RTX or crossplay (to an extent). I don't want to degrade your video a you make some very valuable points but being primarly a bedrock player I find that too often Java youtubers will play bedrock editiion and repeat its most common flaws in a video but usually don't play enough to find the upsides. not ot mention the initial bias that most people take with them into their first experience of the game forces them to notice the slightest isusse that usually inthemselves not even bugs or shortcomings. :)
yeah i agree bedrock is supposed to be for consoles and that java youtubers only hate or dont like it because it just feels different for them. if you play a game, then you either have to get good or get a better console that doesn't have "bugs".
@@death49rockets0 Bedrock was never meant for consoles it was meant to run on its Original 3 Platforms, Android, Windows and iOS, Microsoft ruined Bedrock's image by porting it to Consoles (obviously if you port a Mobile/PC game to consoles it will cause issues) consoles can't process the server side of Minecraft like Android, Windows and iOS do, that's why most of the time you see those crazy bugs happening on Consoles and not Android, Windows and iOS, if you truly want to play Bedrock smoothly just play on the OG 3 Platforms
Being a long time Bedrock and Java player, I gotta say. That performance seems like a you only thing. Not the menus, god those are annoying but your footage lagged more than half the time, that never happens to me and a lot of others. What happened 💀
The actual game performance aka FPS is much better on Bedrock, however he is definitely right about that weird sort of input lag. It is so minor but even the most minute input lag can make a huge difference in feel. The game just feels so much clunkier than Java does.
Minecraft bedrock happened because kids of minecraft console edition were asking for infinite worlds and minigames. They could of done better with bedrock and optimized it more, they basically just ported mcpe to console and pc
As a guy who played Minecraft bedrock (unfortunately) for 7 years I can agree that it is the worst piece of 💩 to ever exist as a game and I'm glad to finally be able to play Minecraft java edition
Even tho i prefer java i still think that bedrock has something that i think the java versions NEEDS and it's the friend system that let's you make multiplayer worlds with your friends or invite them to your singleplayer one
I used to really like Minecraft on legacy edition, and then they presented bedrock edition to console players, now the game isn’t fair anymore if you’re a controller player. If you really liked playing mini games, but lost legacy edition and can’t get it back, then you have to suffer playing on servers like hive and cubecraft. I want to get better at pvp, but that’s impossible because I’m a controller player, and controller players get treated dirty while keyboard and mouse players are superior. I also kinda find it stupid as hell that we have to buy a skin rather then create one, you used to be able to do this on console but they removed it unfortunately. You can still import skins on mcpe, but it won’t transfer to your console account. One day I hope to get Java edition so I can just have fun, and be on the same level as everyone else and not be at rock bottom as a controller player.
As a Minecraft bedrock player I’m not here to argue but I’m curious to know what device you used for your vid because yeah I confirm switch bedrock sucks but these things aren’t universal…… well except the marketplace that is universal
ive thought this stuff for a long time, bedrock has some things that it does better than java but if you ask me the good does not outweigh the bad, i only really use bedrock to play with friends cuz none of us know how to port forward/care enough to figure it out. great video rero
Thanks man, and I mean hey I can't deny the ease of Bedrock's multiplayer, I can't really blame people playing it for that alone. Let's vow to keep our consistent upload streak up
if you all have java (and know how to download forge) you could get tis mod called essential that lets you play with friends (it does have things you can buy but its only cosmetics and you could all just download some mods for that). i highly recommend it :)
Opening menu makes lag, opening inventory drops frame aswell, sometimes when you sprint it randomly stops sprinting and sprint again 20 times in a row in 1 second, mob spawning in huge hordes everywhere, trash textures and pixel and bad light and shadows, crossbow wont charge sometimes, when you eat it doesn't regen the hp and you get 0 saturation, when you load the world your vharacter and all the entities spawns before the world entirely generates so you can literally die before you can even see it coming. What else? Cheaters everywhere because you have 1000000 apps from the mobile version to cheat even on public servers realms included (zero anti cheat), lag and bad optimization on everything. The cursor gets stuck between slots because there is some weird and clunky attraction that doesn't allow to move smooth in the inventory without the cursor being slowed a lot, also if you try to go fast it teleports in a random slot for no reason making it even worse. The crafting inventory is laggy too. Loading every fucking entity in the game makes the frame drops even if you set the render distance to 4 chunks and all the settings to the lowest possible. I don't know i could go on like forever
@@ExfernosBro stop glazing bugrock and just face the reality 😭🙏I've been playing bugrock for a few years on my ps4 pro and I can assure you ALL the problems the guy above have said about happened to me. And now I got a pc with ryzen 7 5800x and rtx4060, and sure, the fps went way up and became more stable, but the problems I have experienced on ps4 didn't go away. Though I have way less experience with bugrock on pc than with the console one cause I play java now instead
I agree, heres only some issues ive ran into: -HORRIBLE input lag, and just using the mouse in general feels off. -Zombies having reach hack -I can hit mobs like creepers and zombies in one hit sometimes, WITH AN IRON SWORD. -Skeletons are almost impossible to defeat without a shield or cover -Performance(java gets me a bit over 700fps, meanwhile bedrock is less than 240fps) -Redstone is weird -I cant run past creepers without them exploding. -Broken animals -Skeleton spawned in my home and killed my dog(i had torches and the door was locked, happened when i went outside to check on my friends stuff cuz he died for 1 second) -Chunks not loading in time(tho usually its better than java in this department) -And WAYY more issues
now they're trying to add hardcore to bedrock. you know, the game where you can randomly die of fall damage or invisible zombies? good one bedrock, NEVER COME BACK.
minecraft bedrock would have been genious if the devs didnt just decide to do whatever the hell they wanted with it, if they just made it exactly like java but written in another language, it would be fine!
What ppl think: Bedrock community vs Java community Reality: Java players wanting everything cool left in bedrock while bedrock players hate their edition so much, they wanna do a self elim irl
As a bedrock player, I can firmly agree that bedrock is completely trash, I keep dying because of these bugs that never get fixed, and much more that just frustrates me, if I could afford a pc I would 100% get Java edition ASAP
As someone who plays both versions of MC, I agree with this video. Bedrock edition feels like a mobile game on pc (since bedrock is based off of pocket edition). Playing on consoles and phones feels just fine but the game itself has tons of issues. Managing villager housing and workstations is so much better in Java than it is in bedrock. I have to destroy my friend's property on his realm just so I can rotate my librarian trades and have them assign themselves to the beds in MY base. Java edition will always be my go-to.
One time i died and i came to my house after and it was just gone, with nothing left but my dog just sitting on a dirt plot. Thats when the keyboard controls trade-off was worth it
90% of issues come from phone I think they didn't update combat with 1.9 so mobile players could actually fight well, but they used a janky system that doesn't quite feel like 1.8 java when on pc they also let mobile players hit people to their side because you hit whatever you click on mobile the inventory management sucks because you can't press numbers to put items in that slot, that would be unfair to console and mobile so you move items with your cursor 1 by 1 instead of just pressing the button you want it to go to anyway hope this comment helps you in the algorithm, bye
you actually can use 1-9 to switch to that hotbar slot on Bedrock, but you can't use them for swapping between the currently hovered over slot, and that hotbar number (which is so half-assed lol)
I hate the way they implemented add ons on bedrock, just the other day I bought(stupid you have to buy them) about 8 add ons. Tried putting them all on one world, cant even do that. Whats the point of being able to combine add ons if it dosent even work?
Actually, buying them is (somewhat) smart. You see, on Java, if a person wants to create a mod, people will get it, but they won't be paid for their work. Plus, people will probably not find their work.on Bedrock, content creators are paid for their work.
@MapBotTheElsagateKiller I mean that's good for the creators but why don't they give Java the marketplace too then? Why make such a big gap of content accessibility between versions?
It's ok. Everyone has their own opinions about which edition is better and which edition is crap. For example, UA-camrs like ECKOSOLDIER and ibxtoycat prefer the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft, while many, many UA-camrs like you, SalC1.etc.etc prefer the Java Edition of Minecraft. I personally like both editions because they're superior in their own ways. I play the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft because my PC is not that powerful to run Java smoothly.
It's like a war in the comments here. How hard is it to just give both versions their credit? They both have their own charm and i think there's alot of things in both versions that the other one would benefit from
@@Shinymaniacok let’s pretend someone made a game for pc and created an ugly copy for other platforms. As a console player, how would that be ok for you, since you’re playing the ugly version
@@Shinymaniac At least 360 and 3ds got different features and completely diferents bosses, weapons and mechanics. Minecraft Bedrock just pushes minecraft down and back in features.
Everything on bedrock just feels slower, opening the inventory is slow, hitting something has a delay, it doesn’t feel like I’m in control when I play bedrock like the game doesn’t let me play.
Don't even get me started on the fact that I'm stuck on the latest version. I hate this. Minecraft nowadays has so many complex mechanics and I just want to have some simple fun like the good old days. I have to worry about pillager raids, phantoms, new mobs in general, so many new biomes, so many additional blocks, so many new mechanics.. I can't. Also, the update that made axes strip logs makes me want to uninstall the game sometimes, very small but also very inconvenient.
Unless you got a shit device bedrock isn’t laggy (unless you play on a multiplayer world with bad internet) and most of the tim3 there aren’t major bugs
Unless Java is discontinued im never switching to Bedrock. Its a mix of nostalgia factor, issues with Bedrock vsync lag, lack of mod support, subtle differences in crafting and combat and the goddamn microtransactions
1: Bedrock mod support is changing 2: Most of the “subtle” differences in crafting have been changed to match Java (I also don’t see why this would be a big deal anyways). 3: The combat is literally pre 1.9 Java combat just with shields and a few other differences. The combat in Java has also been pretty controversial ever since it was changed back in 1.9. But don’t worry, it won’t be that way forever. Jeb has said that they want Java and Bedrock to have the same combat and for it to actually be fun and require skill at the same time. 4: I hate the microtransactions too but at least they don’t have an effect on the actual game itself. You can just pay them no mind.
Java edition works on my crappy internet. Bedrock dosent. Youll load the inventory and just be stuck with a loading screen on mc bedrock. Java works perfectly fine though.
As someone who only recently moved to Java I have to say I’d never go back, the game feels smoother and more satisfying to play also with the free mods, texture and maps. Also Java has a ton of Quality of life as simple as being able to change your texture pack in game or the shader support. Also the clients we have, improving the game with FPS like feather client. Also the game just feels so much nicer to play with better graphics and more customisation
My main world on bedrock has writd chunk glitches where there'd be water that just stopped generating in fabor of amither biome for some reason. Just random cubes of waters.

5:00 RenderDragon Glitches, its the new Rendering Engine for Bedrock which is responsible for RayTracing and Deferred Rendering and Shader stuff, Mojang stated that it still needs some optimisations, and the Ice glitch was probably Fixed
Render Dragon was released around 3 years ago, and its still horrible. They had all this time to optimize it, yet its still just as bad if not worse than it was when it first rolled out on update 1.16.200. At this point, they have no excuses for it STILL being this bad. Nevertheless, I've stopped with Bedrock altogether. I'm done waiting for the game to be semi-functional again when I could just play Java instead without having to deal with how horrible to play Bedrock is now.
@@uraniyumb3097 render dragon is in my experience way better. its known for loading chunks way faster although I do think that render dragon could have some issues I don't think they are enough to switch versions
@@Oxicin I didn't notice a difference in chunk loading speed, and if there is any at all, its not a big enough difference to matter when it makes the game feel horrible to play with the input delay and how it worsens my fps compared to HAL (The previous rendering engine).
It's fucking unplayable, I can't tell you how many times I have died to the game crashing in the Nether. I just can't stand losing 67 hours worth of stuff just to die because they can't optimize this fucking game or just make a PS5 version. Mojang is a bunch of scumbags.
As someone who plays bedrock edition, if youre gonna complain about preformance then you either have a crappy pc or you just need to change your settings. Plus most of the "bugs" that you've mentioned in the video have never happended to me. But there is one thing i agree with you on and thats the blinking and high quality skins. Those are just horrendous and honestly we would all be happy if they were to just remove those 2 things. Other than that though bedrock is perfectly fine for me because java just seems harder to control (ive played on bedrock longer). Mods are also free for bedrock since mcpedl exists. So overall while i do think that bedrock is still better (and that thumbnail also isnt that necessary), im not saying java is bad in any way (expect for every update after 1.17 i will not forgive them for making ravines and the ore textures worse)
I love Minecraft Bedrock Edition! I play for over 5 years now. I respect if don't enjoy this edition of Minecraft, and to be honest I wish that I could have both editions. I remember playing Minecraft on my Xbox 360 on my childhood... it was a AMAZING experience, but now all that I feel is nostalgia. Have a great week, friend! =)
it's funny that people thunk java is getting replaced because of the title change, if bedrock was the "real version" in mojang's eyes, do you think it would be as buggy?

And for that reason i now get to see all of the features that make java better (In my opinion, like the Modding Potential because of how many files you can edit, replace, etc. The Ability To switch versions, finally if somebody is too nostalgia blinded by their past they can just switch versions without any trouble. And how with shields, you don't have to sneak anymore. Just simply right click although this was difficult to get used to.) P.S, Sorry for the long comment, i already know there's gonna be kids swarming in the replies going: "YAPPER ALERT!" and "I AIN'T READING ALATT!"
The main issues I have with bedrock is the input lag, the overpriced stuff in the shop (sure they can have microtransactions but they are way too expensive and for things that were free before), the way the game plays, the look of the game looks really dull, the sound effects sounding low quality to accommodate for mobile devices, etc
There's actually a way to fix it. I found one way to be going unto the Nvidia settings, going to Minecraft, and then capping the framerate at 60 or whatever you're using
@@Gcb4Life good ui is simple, doesn’t have weird clunky animations that slowly slide in every time you click a button, isn’t annoying and slow to navigate, and bedrock has to literally LOAD the settings menu where the Java one loads instantly. @Gcb4Life I'm on Bedrock and I hate it too. But then again... if this guy hates it so much, he can't just get a resource pack to change it?.... I did that for the sprint-jump animations
I (A bedrock player from the start), don’t see any problems that you’ve pointed out in my own gameplay. Never witnessed an invisible zombie, never had the game be janky and the inventory animation takes an extra second, not that big of a deal. On the other hand there are features as seen in Java that bedrock just needs! I am talking about the mods, player run servers (without the 3rd party), hardcore. And while Bedrock had more players it’s simply because we cannot afford the PC to play it on, Java will always be the version we see streamers and UA-cams play on but the majority of players are happy with Bedrock because they haven’t had the opportunity to play Java, thank you!
1. You can literally turn off the screen animations in video settings. 2. They recently added an option to disable vsync, they added an option to decrease input lag with it on too. 3. Bedrock edition didnt invent microtransactions in Minecraft, both Minecraft pocket edition and the OG console editions also had purchasable skins and texture packs, Bedrock's marketplace is better because the community creators get a percentage of the cut and is optional if you are on PC or mobile. 4. Those glitches have never occurred to me before... Obviously on the internet rare occurrences get way more traction
1. Minecraft pocket edition didn't have microstransactions until it became bedrock edition. 2. Calling a version like that Minecraft and adding a Java edition to the original form of Minecraft is lame af. 3. The marketplace of bedrock edition is lame and most of the creators steal content from already made mods , packs , and worlds that exist in java and sell them for money. (Like faithful resource pack) 4. Mojang trying to pushing this version more by adding small details in the bedrock like white leaves when it's snowing a slight less blue water , some trees being on the ground etc while it doesn't help to fix the bugs. 5. Glitches like that are not that rare . Like walking on the ice graphic glitch, invisible zombies , general input lag (even with the setting on that is supposed to fix the problem )
bro java is the more heavy version of minecraft it runs laggy on most devices unless the render distance is 4 and u just putlot of render distance in bedrock edition and say its laggy. it literally runs smoothly on my ass phone

As a mapmaker for a team that makes Java Maps / Marketplace Content, I feel a little grossed out by the Marketplace content put out. The skins our team makes are fine, but it really feels like making kids pay for a product that's worse than the free Java version. Most of the maps are fine, but the official partnerships with franchises like minions (usually handled by Noxcrew, not us) really feel like soulless content just trying to make some money off a label.
The only plus to the marketplace is that it’s curated and doesn’t contain any addons with potential viruses and the marketplace allows you to support MC map and marketplace content creators.
True but when you know what a game is capable of and it doesn’t even come close to its potential then it is very disappointing and hard to find it fun, sure if u never played Java and you started on bedrock you wouldn’t know the capabilities and would experience fun because it’s your first time ever experiencing it
Look I love to hate on Bedrock as much as the next guy but running the game at a render distance THAT high and then complaining about lag is a bit disingenuous. That looked like about 96 chunks
I cannot stress enough, how spot on many of those points you made are. The one that angers me like nothing else is the market place... Mojang wanted to cut down on the ability to "pay for builds" back in the days. And when Microsoft got involved, they immidietly tried to see how much extra money they can make on the game. It feels like it went from a community based game, to a corporate based game. (Going from: More players = more input and feedback, to more players = more $$$) One last thing i'd also like to mention is that it's core compenents FROM THE ORIGINAL GAME, is actually not present in bedrock. Bedrock is not minecraft, it's a damn other game. Noticable things are: - Different redstone mechanics - Different structure generations (such as strongholds) - Different crafting recipes - Different Entity behaviors - Different Combat system
Microtransactions in Minecraft have existed before Microsoft's acquisition, the legacy console editions had DLCs you had to pay for. Plus, Bedrock developers have not tried to shut down free modding at all, they rather IMRROVED on it with free shader supports, and the editor mode which is available for everyone. - Different redstone mechanics : Redstones are different because quasi connectivity is a BUG that comes from the game thinking the pistons have a hitbox of a door. Bedrock's redstones also have a handful of improvements that should have been in the Java versiion such as movable tile entities, underwater redstones and more. - Different structure generations (such as strongholds) - Different crafting recipes - Different Entity behaviors - Different Combat system : They are working hard to bring all those parities, they recently changed the boat recipe to match that of the Java edition.
@@NiftyNifty-d4r Quasi connectivity is just one of the things that doesnt work on bedrock. You also have: - Systems that utilize mechanics such as Block Update Detector (BUD) switches won't work. - Pistons require one tick to retract and won't leave blocks behind if given a one-tick pulse (which basicly makes working with pistons on bedrock much more slow) Also refering to the microtransactions, i meant, that when microsoft showed interrest in buying Minecraft, Mojang updated their EULA, stating that they wanted to make it "illigal" to sell fx. builds. Most buildteams suffered greatly in that period, and is the reason why today buildteams is a almost a forgotten thing. Funny how you can buy builds off the store now though :)))
Yeah bc he uses a mod called optifine that he thinks is vanilla and thinks its fair to compare modded Java to vanilla Bedrock. Oh yeah and his render distance on Bedrock is like 96 chunks so OFC its gonna lag🤦♀️
@@domschra the issue with it getting worse the further you get out is universal and caused because of how computers work not minecraft. the reason is computers cant be infinity precise because of memory limitations so the further you get the more of that precision is used thus when you reach a certain point it tends to get weird. bedrock and java are about the same in that respect other than the fact that bedrock doesnt have a border. when I play java it handles lag very poorly and that is why mods like optifine exist because java has a lot of flaws that would be easily fixed. I've seen a lot of clickbait ish videos like this one and the honest truth is both suck in there own ways and I dont like when people nit pick especially things that arent valid such as c++. if you dont like bedrock say its becuase you cant tnt dupe or use doors underwater to breath, those actually exist. 7:20 we will see that in 2 Years, Bedrock Edition 1.20 compared to Bedrock Edition 1.14 has been so much better, we have come a long way since, 1.16 was the version when Mojang actually started to care about Bedrock Edition
I Agree. Bedrock edition kind of sucks. I never wanted to hate it, and that's coming from a legacy edition player who grew up with the ps3/ps4 version of the game up until bedrock. I think you did good enough with the video, it's just everyone prefers bedrock because it's easier to setup and play, especially on phones. I personally don't have a problem with the screen animations, plus I've never had any bugs like that, but I definitely had worse bugs, recently I died from building up out of the stronghold, Some people thought it was my internet, but it's the hardware itself. I was playing on PS4 which just recently got worse, the lag spikes are more frequent than the version coming from PS3 which likely has none. Another time, it wiped my custom skin entirely not once but twice so I had to make it all over again. Everybody that compares Java vanilla to bedrock vanilla is wrong, Java has the right for mods to improve the game because its the easiest thing to do. Literally, install curseforge, and get forge or sodium. that's why java edition is popular. "Bonus points" if you get a modpack with shaders. Try to get basic shaders in bedrock edition without having a grass block look like a mirror. I'm currently working with a 6700XT which is not great at shaders/RTX, but runs better at java rather than bedrock edition. Input lag does exist, But lag itself exists on the console ports of bedrock edition today. At the end of the day, nobody wants to hate bedrock edition, but bedrock edition is too buggy. I do think there was more to talk about, like how on consoles you have to pay a membership to play online, which in terms of finance puts console players at a big disadvantage. The comment section is just wild hence the reason I feel the need to respond for everyone here. The video gets a bit of backlash. Overall, the video is good, the editing is good, in conclusion, anybody who likes bedrock edition over java edition is only admitting they prefer the rather buggier bedrock edition, and that shouldn't change anything about this video period.
The visual glitches and performance issues are just you. Minecraft bedrock is far more optimized than java and none of what you showed has ever happened to me.
I love playing on a version with free maps and skins plus better mod support! I sure hope Microsoft doesn't make a crappy version of the game and milk the hell out of it!
@@Gcb4Life bro, I played on bedrock for a year because big Microsoft wouldn't let me in to my account because I hadn't migrated yet. Most of the stuff on the marketplace required real money to pay for, and the only skins I had were the legacy console skins. So they aren't garbage assumptions. I know from experience.
You didnt shed bedrock edition on a fair light at all, Bedrock edition devs have been doing tons of good things like bringing custom shader supports, editor mode which is basically an in-game world edit, etc
Doesn't matter. Atleast you can play it rather than playing Fake Minecraft Clones LOL + Everyone starts with bedrock/pocket during childhood and plays Java as soon as they grew up.
You didn’t go far enough, in bedrock, you can’t use banners to mark the location of places on maps, it never not the full combat changes of Java Edition, the hunger bar goes down way too fast, even in easy difficulty, hostile mobs will completely destroy you if you don’t have at least a full set of iron armor, sword, and shield, OH! That’s another thing, shields can’t be activated the same way as in Java, sure, they had to make it work a little differently than on Java because of the different form factor, but they kept it to activate on crouch, even on the desktop version. This is not ok, it’s confusing as hell. You can only place a specific selection of items in your offhand, and there isn’t even a control for it, you have to go into your inventory every time to change what is in your offhand. There is no alternative to the F3 screen, on touch screen devices, you need to go into settings every time to change perspective, which settings LOADS on bedrock, using chat is so unbelievably slow, there is no hardcore or spectator modes, and the last thing I’m gonna mention is this: you can’t use the nether roof, you can go up there, but can’t place anything on it like in Java. Minecraft: Bedrock Edition gets a -10/10 from me. I will forever be a modded Java player, even if Microsoft kills Java, I’ll still play Java, I refuse to migrate to bedrock, I’d rather play Roblox than Becrock edition

Cant argue with you bedrock has so many missing features netherroof travel, underwater door, dual wielding, shaders, less customisation, no hardcore mode, i could go on and on bruh it just sucks
firstly netherroof travel and underwater door is a bug that the java team make "an exclusive feature". The reason why dual wielding is not added is because of mobile devices. If you went to the beta, they are currently making shaders although its early prototype, but the devs confirmed that it will improve soon. Hardcore mode still wasn't added because of the bugs. They are adding more and more customization in the future..
@@jhnezkyl they should'nt make exlusive features then like if i want glow effect i cant get it on bedrock and they should've made different version for mobile IMO, i think exlusive thingy ruined minecraft community
yeah well, bedrock has a lot of issues, but it still lets people play with each other from any device, tho i do think it should not be titled as the main minecraft because java should remain this way
It’s titled that way for marketing reasons since Bedrock is on a multitude of platforms. If a person who doesn’t know anything about Minecraft is going to buy the game on a console for example and they see that it’s labeled as Minecraft Bedrock, they’re probably going to get a bit confused and wonder where’s the “normal” version.
@@Gcb4Life you buy them both in a pack now so you cant really use that as an excuse anymore. also, bedrock has microtransactions and lazy coding. once again, bedrock is just a way for microsoft to get more money.
Nah, Java players can't accept the fact that they got a subtitle put on thier version while bedrock is just called "Minecraft", so instead, they go after the game, regardless of its positive aspects, and just shits on it for everything its worth. This is why I genuinely do not like the java community. a bunch of pessimistic PC elites that shuns anything that isn't like their version.
For me, every single type i load up minecraft java edition vanilla, the lag is unbarrable. I legit dont remember any time of my life when it was at 60fps with no mods installed. It was always at 30fps or 15 or 10. Bedrock, on the other hand, was always smooth for me for some reason. Ofc, not the tps lag, that was almost as laggy as java's framerate, but bedrock's framerate is so much better than java's for me.
2:10 Legacy Console was easily the worst version of Minecraft, you hate Bedrock because it still exists you love Legacy Console because its gone and the Nostalgia is what making you love it, we dont value something until its gone forever and that's the case with you
A friendly reminder that bedrock is the superior version of Minecraft than java in almost every aspect and any reason they claim why java is better i guarantee is almost always bias. Prove me wrong if you can because i got every reason possible why java is the inferior version. Key word is "objective" Java tubers trashing bedrock for monetization. Classic move there
In Java, you can change versions. If Bedrock allowed me to change to older versions before they screwed the charm of the game with dozens of needlessly complicated mechanics, I would be fine with it. Minecraft is supposed to be fun, not challenging.
@@anony-moon nice attempt there but there are ways you can use a different version on bedrock too or even set it up where you can save every version. Even then it's a very niche feature that java has made easier and it's not as good as some of the advantages bedrock has. Glad you chose a something more objective I'll give you that
@@soaringstars314 I've played both versions for years on and off. You cannot tell me that Bedrock is better than Java. And no, changing versions is not a "niche". I shouldn't need to download external applications just to change the version of Minecraft I'm playing. You can't just reflect criticism by saying "well other people already have an external work around, so they don't need to do anything about it"
i really dislike how updates are developed post bedrock unification. they cant add certain features because it wont work on a stupid phone, the bundle is a great example of that. so nobody gets these features. i think a unified console edition could work with crossplay and maybe a pc port to allow cross play on all major consoles and pc. the entire minecraft gameplay has to be bottlenecked by devices where your fingers cover 20% of your screen. i wish pocket was its own thing again instead of having its jank bleed into the main console versions
if you are the kind of player who download everything that moves on bad "reuploads" websites like 9minecraft gonna get malware BTW. but if you install all your resources (modloaders, mods, shaders, datapacks) from trusted places like modrinth it should be fine.
Wait u could disable gui animations

Some people will say C++ is better for performance but that doesn't really stop whoever programmed Bedrock from making it this slow
The legacy console editions were ported using C# so they should've used that instead
pocket edition was already coded in C++ and ig the devs were too lazy to rewrite the whole game so they took pocket and made it work like PC but still be usable on mobile

The code for mobs is terrible, being comparable to beta versions of minecraft. And the amount of glitches that will cause to die or take damage randomly. anyways, what I wanted to say is that you mention Bedrock remaining in Java shadow in a way that it will never reach the same level as java but frakly everthing im modern Minecraft progress seems to be indicating the opposite, for one, there is no feature in java edition that it pchsically immposible to add to bedrock and seeing as mojang is striving towards parity in the past few years I doubt bedrock will remain irelevant tothe minecraft brand.

Unless you got a shit device bedrock isn’t laggy (unless you play on a multiplayer world with bad internet) and most of the tim3 there aren’t major bugs
It seems to me that bedrock edition has like no quality control. Maybe theres other developers that are actually lazy rather than java edition devs
Unless Java is discontinued im never switching to Bedrock. Its a mix of nostalgia factor, issues with Bedrock vsync lag, lack of mod support, subtle differences in crafting and combat and the goddamn microtransactions
1: Bedrock mod support is changing
2: Most of the “subtle” differences in crafting have been changed to match Java (I also don’t see why this would be a big deal anyways).

Also the game just feels so much nicer to play with better graphics and more customisation
My main world on bedrock has writd chunk glitches where there'd be water that just stopped generating in fabor of amither biome for some reason. Just random cubes of waters.
I think the only reason why bedrock is good, is because you can make memes with the glitches

And its terribly dissapointing that we cant do anything(

Render Dragon was released around 3 years ago, and its still horrible. They had all this time to optimize it, yet its still just as bad if not worse than it was when it first rolled out on update 1.16.200. At this point, they have no excuses for it STILL being this bad. Nevertheless, I've stopped with Bedrock altogether. I'm done waiting for the game to be semi-functional again when I could just play Java instead without having to deal with how horrible to play Bedrock is now.

Where do I find the vsync and input lag option? Don’t see it in video settings
(Like faithful resource pack)

(Going from: More players = more input and feedback, to more players = more $$$)
One last thing i'd also like to mention is that it's core compenents FROM THE ORIGINAL GAME, is actually not present in bedrock. Bedrock is not minecraft, it's a damn other game.
Noticable things are:
- Different redstone mechanics
- Different structure generations (such as strongholds)
- Different crafting recipes
- Different Entity behaviors
- Different Combat system
- Different structure generations (such as strongholds)
- Different crafting recipes

- Different Combat system
: They are working hard to bring all those parities, they recently changed the boat recipe to match that of the Java edition.
@@NiftyNifty-d4r Quasi connectivity is just one of the things that doesnt work on bedrock. You also have:
- Systems that utilize mechanics such as Block Update Detector (BUD) switches won't work.
- Pistons require one tick to retract and won't leave blocks behind if given a one-tick pulse (which basicly makes working with pistons on bedrock much more slow)
Also refering to the microtransactions, i meant, that when microsoft showed interrest in buying Minecraft, Mojang updated their EULA, stating that they wanted to make it "illigal" to sell fx. builds.
