If I want to feel happy or sad or just emotional, I can bask in the peerless allure of her voice and let it carry me away to wherever the mood takes me. A kind of bliss.

Don't know much about Dusty Springfield but that she was known as a very very independent woman and artist... That once she Sang acompanied by Buddy Rich's 🥁 Band for a few presentations in a club, AND that she had a strong character, not letting anyone put her down.... Elton John has said she's His favorite singer... That says a Lot ❤
Normally I turn down the sound when watching on YT as I use headphones but I never do it when playing Dusty. She should be played at full volume and sod the possible damage caused as it is worth it for this classic diva. Not to be confused with the modern interpretation of the word as Dusty deserves the title. I maybe biased as after the night with my first love when I got back from class I put on the greatest hits CD and had this song on repeat.
