I’ve done this with crayons and a coordinating color of glitter glue stick. Glue gun sticks alone don’t have quite the right texture, but there are special sealing wax sticks that go in a glue gun and give the right texture.
Actually, a larger hot glue gun can work. Glue guns can take mini glue sticks or regular size glue sticks. The one you had takes a mini glue stick. As you figured out, temp matters. You can use colored glue sticks too. And yes, as others said, the cutting device is a nail trimmer for cats or dogs. You are so fun, I love your enthusiasm! What a great video!!🤗

I write casual letters all the time to people (family, friends, etc...) and send them in the mail. I probably send a few letters a week. I lean very deeply towards 16th century technology so the wax seals I use are replicas of 16th century wax seals which were Shellac mixed with other ingredients to make them have an incredibly high melting point. When those wax seals harden they become like iron, not even an exacto blade can cut it. Envelopes weren't big then so I fold the letter in a special way they did back so it becomes it's own envelope then and address it on the front and place the shellac seal on the back. Since Shellac seals aren't good for mailing I have to place the letter in a proper envelope the post office expects. You should do a video on that!
Fascinating! Is that the Jacques Herbin brand that uses the Shellac in their traditional wax? Or do you use something else?

i tried it with a regular red candle for my handmade christmas cards. let me just tell you, don't try that. it is way to runny and thin. I'm gonna try it with crayons
You can buy sealing wax! It’s actually really affordable
You can try mix the candle wax with a small piece of glue from a glue gun stick. That thickens the consistency of the wax a little bit and makes it less „runny“.

Genius using the dog nail clippers to guillotine the crayon bits. I shall totally try this as I have many crayon bits left over from my children's childhood...and a full box of my own crayons as well. Blessings!
These videos are all about how satisfying it is to see wax getting poured and then stamped, and host being over energetic is completly ruining it.
You could just use a coloured hot glue stick

I had the same though, like that’s asking for burns from liquid crayon 🖍 , like glue sticks are made for a specific temperature so it doesn’t melt too thin

i love making these and i actually make them on baking paper because i can keep them and my set up so i dont have to hold them spoon is just my sppon handle balancing on s large upside down shot glass and the round part of the spoon hovering over a tea light

i did not know what the kitchen tool was until five mins ago when i was cutting my dogs nails and was like "OMG, ARCHER I KNOW WHAT THIS IS, so i came back too this cool af video just to say those are dog nail clippers. now thinking about it, if it works that well to chop crayons then i am going to get one for when i babysit and "we" want to do a craft. so tbh i learned something today. thank you.😄

😂 I buy 600 assorted color wax seal beads for like $15 on amazon. Comes with a storage case and they are quite durable.
I use 1 or 2 beads per seal. Seal a bunch of Mercari packages we ship out with it.

Add 1 part hot glue to 3 parts crayon and mix it… that way it’s thicker and won’t chip
that "kitchen device" is either an acrylic nail cutter or a dog nail cutter.
You need more wax so it evenly shows the stamp
You want to three super watery so it pours easily then you hit it with your stamp and you let your stamp set at least that's what you do when a real sealing wax

I use wax seals on my pen pal letters and they send just fine. I like to use the hot glue, even in normal wax because it makes the seal a little more flexible.
I have such a strong urge to wax seal a Closure Letter. What would be the appropriate stamp to use that isn't romantic or too dramatic. (It's a wax seal, it's dramatic enough _I know!)_ but I want it to feel more _eerie_ and _strong_ than a cartoony broken heart or skull. Maybe a phoenix or something from my celtic roots.

I tried to do this but the seal kept pulling half of the melted crayon with it, so I’d end up with a ruined end product
Try waiting for it to cool more before you lift, or spraying the seal with water / oil before you apply it to the wax

Crayon wax can stick to your stamp as crayon wax are soft. Mix them with bit of candle wax to make them more durable.

Cute video 😊 BTW, the button on the side of the lighter (that you slide with your thumb) isn't to release the butane, it's a safety lock. It won't allow the butane to ignite without sliding the button so that children can't easily set things on fire 😂
