    Thank you so much Christine. Your video has such a big help to me who is a first timer for making wax seals. The washers are such a big help along with having an ice pack to keep things cool. So happy I found this video.

    I recently watched a video that gives you a chance to correct a badly made wax seal. The video said that if you put tho object with the botched seal on it into the microwave for 2 min, it would melt the wax enough that you could re-press the stamp into it. I haven't tried it because I haven't made an unsat stamp lately.Perfectly circular seals don't appeal to me.
    I also have been watching vids on how the stamping was done in the 16th through 19th centuries (sloppy), and have learned how to turn your letter into its own envelope. So far I've sent two letters that way.

      Interesting techniques… As for perfectly rounded wax seals. It’s not for everyone. I just thought I I’d try something different. Have a great weekend. Thank our for watching.

    Look for silicone O rings which tolerate heat well.

    Thank you, brilliant explanation!
    What thickness of the washer is ideal for a traditional seal?
    0.1mm? 0.5mm? 1mm?

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  Рік тому

      Hi Rizwaan. I found the 1/16 of an inch was the best. I think that's 1mm if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully that helps you out. Thank you for watching. Are you planning to use these on envelopes to be sent in the mail?

      @@christinemleung Hi Christine, thank you for your reply!
      I’ll try the 1mm thickness
      Currently I’ve ordered the 0.1mm thick washer, we’ll see if that seals well
      Yes to your last question, planning to use these on envelopes to be mailed
