  • I sculpted a dragon warrior for one of my Blender Quick Sketches to practice full body sculpting. The whole process took around 4 hours. Here is a 23 minute timelapse of it.

      Those are Empties that I use to control my camera. One is for the camera focus and one for the Depth of Field. :)

  • @dankgamezofficial704
    @dankgamezofficial704 Рік тому +7

    I have a question, why do people put empties on the world origin when sculpting? I noticed that you do it, and I just want to know a reason why. Anyways, respect, it's 🔥! You're super talented, keep it up!

    • @Noggi_3D
      @Noggi_3D  Рік тому +8

      I have a short about it. I use 2 empties to control the camera. 1 that the camera is focused on (the middle of the rendered view) and 1 for depth of field. The empty is the sharpest spot. This way I can control the rotation and depth of field with 2 empties instead of having to play around with the individual values. :)

      Do you mean when I pull out the arms for example? I like to use the move tool, because it gives me more control. But the Snake hook would work well too. :)

  • @Dekae
    @Dekae Рік тому +1

    Holy moly! Love the way you used extrusions to make the whole upper body. I'm reaaaally new but seen something that made the face able to be sculpted more and more by selection. Do you have a moment to express what that process is called? (So I can look up more information!) Or maybe you can better describe what you did at 11:40 briefly. I can sort of see you used shape preservation, but definitely think I am missing something. Thank you for this, it really helps to see how people do little details and large portions of a model!! Can't believe I watched the whole thing! The time passed by so fast! Love the result!

      Thank you. I've used Dyntopo for this sculpt. And to add more resolution to the neck I used the Simplify brush, which applies the Dyntopo resolution to the surface under the cursor. With Dyntopo enables most brushes do that, but the simplify brush doesn't modify the model, which means I can first increase the resolution before I add more details. Hope this helps. :)

    at 18:24, i didn't get what you did. You duplicated and decimated the model, then how did you start sculpting the underwear from that?

    • @Noggi_3D
      @Noggi_3D  2 роки тому +2

      I duplicated the model, removed unnecessary parts (head), went into sculpting and used the mesh filter brush (inflate) to push the duplicate underneath the original mesh. Now by sculpting on the duplicate, I push it out of the original mesh and can use that to sculpt the clothing.
      I hope that was understandable. :)
