Such challenges are cool, I tried to do something similar once, but it didn't work out (Someday I'll do a second attempt)

Did you retopologize this character? Including uv unwraps? Sometimes I wonder if it’s always necessary

Nope. I used Vertex painting for these. And for the tiny details I've used a procedural noise texture. :)

That looks proper disgusting. Awesome sculpt! When I watch you scuplt characters, I always wonder how many faces you're using, is it possible for you to turn on statistics for your future videos?
