Nice adventure. Pretty cool to see the area. Interesting to see the mini statue of liberty. Pretty neat to see the birds and their nests. I've never seen a bird like that before. Beautiful town stroll. Neat to see the area. Take care and have a great trip.
Cheers Steve. That’s an amazing village. Like something out of a film! We had a great two days there. We were only going to stay for one but had to help another couple out in an emergency. It was actually great to stay for the extra day \ night so we got to see the village properly! Hope you guys are doing ok. 👍
Oh wow it’s so pretty and that area of Alsace is wonderful! Colmar is beautiful but very crowded - these little villages seem much more accessible and cute!!
Another great vlog , some interesting stuff , nice to see you enjoying it and still learning I am sure , the scenery is amazing and a good deed done , thanks for sharing
Cheers David. Yes it’s been a really eventful trip so far! And so beautiful in Alsace. We got caught up in the storm in Austria but now back in Germany so all is good. Hope you’re having a good week 👍
Great video! That was very kind of you to help with the medical emergency! I think you’re right this is a lovely village, thanks for sharing all the footage from it!
What a beautiful village so quiet it's like the film sound of music I was waiting for the child catcher to come out when you watch the film and look at the village they more or less the same
Hi Victor. It’s such an amazing place. Yesterday we drove past Rothenburg in Germany, where they actually filmed the child catcher scene in the film. The weather was really bad so we didn’t stop but it’s such a wonderful area!! Hope you’re doing well mate.
What beautiful villages you have taken us too, never been to Alsace but i think it is going to have to go on our go to list.. thanks for showing us around folks, hope you are still enjoying your holiday and managing to stay safe.. those floods are heart breaking.
Thanks Lindsay. Alsace is wonderful. We fell in love with the area last year! We got caught up in the storm in Austria in. Ore ways than one. Our last evening with our family and our daughter was rushed to hospital with a nut allergy. They don’t seem to acknowledge allergies as a problem here 🤦🏻♂️ Anyway she was realised the next morning so we could all travel back North but the storm was so dreadful with heavy snow on the way! We made it into Germany so all safe and our daughter and grandkids made it back to the UK. Quite an eventful trip so far!! Hope you guys are well and having a good week. We will catch up with vids when we’re home.
@NBNatureTrailvan so sorry to hear about your daughter, glad to hear she has recovered. Europe seems to have been hit really hard with crazy weather. My friends in Portugal are struggling with wildfires near their village 😢 Take care both and stay safe
Hi Jay, yes a stunning place, I've really struggled with the sim and data in general. Tried to do some research before we travelled, but it seems the only option is to buy a sim in Europe. But you need an address in Europe and a campsite doesn;t count apparently!! Anyway, managed to source one in Germany, so will hopefully catch up with everything once home. Christine kept in contact - they made it down to Italy but it was a bit scary for them for a while!! Have a great weekend mate 👍
Such great architectural features in these villages for sure! Happy to know the medical emergency wasn't either of you, but equally happy that you were there to help out when needed! Hitting up some pretty amazing little areas to spend some time. Don't you just love the peace and quiet. Used to be that way where I bought...but urban sprawl and traffic over the years has certainly changed everything. Continue to enjoy your adventures!!
It’s such a shame Bruce. Urban sprawl is everywhere in the UK! 😨. These areas in Europe, however, seem to have better planning controls. A lot of beautiful villages in that area of France and also just across the border in Germany, which we have come back to yesterday. Yes it was an experience to remind us to be careful - every day is so precious isn’t it. Fortunately, the Health Service in France is much better than in the UK - not sure it would have been such a good outcome if they had been back in England!
Hey guys, We started catching up on Florrie's adventures last night on the telly. Think this was our favourite area you visited so far, absolutely stunning 😍. That village in Alsace reminded us of the village Belle lives in in beauty and the beast, really was fairytale beautiful 😍. Loved the site you stayed at, and the crane sanctuary was an added bonus, surrounded by beautiful birds and vineyards, it is almost like you two designed your very own dream site! 😂🙌🤗. Very kind of you to look after your neighbors pups while they took care of their health. We were glad to hear they could continue their onward journey👍. Ooh that wine looks fabulous! Get the 6 bottles Sue😂🍷🥂. All in all, an eventful, but wonderful part of the trip. We bet you didn't want to leave! Look forward to catching up on the rest of your break soon. All the best, Shell and Pete 😊👊👍
Yes this site was so beautiful! And the village is real chocolate box! We stayed an extra night - as the first night we were helping our neighbours. He had a real scare and they had to stay an extra four nights so it was brilliant to hear they were able to continue on with the right drugs. The Health services in Europe are amazing as we discovered later on in the trip!! Hope you guys are having a good week 👍👍
Cheers Dave - yes that’s a wonderful piece - i can’t stop listening to it! Missing a lot of vids. But will catch up when home. Managed to get data but now in the Black Forest where signal is rubbish and site wifi doesn’t work 🤦🏻♂️
Hello you two, We came across your UA-cam channel through your great Facebook post about the Schwarzwaldcamping Alisehof. The video here turned out great too! We were immediately impressed by such a beautiful travel report. We will definitely take a closer look at your other videos. Thank you very much for that! We immediately gave you a like and subscribed to your channel. Please feel free to stop by and see us. Best wishes, Sabine and Thomas👋👋👍👍👌👌
Hello guys. Sorry for late reply - it’s been a bit full on today! We love it here at Alisehof. On this trip we’ve done a lot of firsts! Black Forest, Bavaria, Romantic Road. First Stellplatz - our first trip to Europe in our motorhome! We have loved it here in Germany!
Awesome sharing, really enjoyed watching 🖤🤍💯 Super like & thumbs up 😍👍💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 See you again, keep intouch 💛🤗🙋💛💚💙💜 Greetings from Istanbul Turkey 🇹🇷💛🤗🙋🧡💛+
I bet those critters were coypu because we saw a big one in a pond in Colmar. These invasive creatures seem to be all over European waterways. Their orange teeth make them a dead giveaway.
They were Coypu Dara. It was pretty dark and first it looked Otter like but they weren’t behaving like Otters - then I thought Beaver but they seemed too small. I finally realised what they were - didn’t seem scared of a human at all They’ve been eradicated in the UK and I thought they had in Europe but how wrong I was!

So nice it is here. I love all the very old houses, looks so beautiful 😊😊😊
Very much like a fairy tale Soren
Quite busy though. We’re now in the Black Forest which is similar but less people 👍👍
Another great vlog , some interesting stuff , nice to see you enjoying it and still learning I am sure , the scenery is amazing and a good deed done , thanks for sharing

If you'd reading this, Christine and John, safe travels and stay well.

It’s been an eventful trip all round. We got caught up in the storm in Austria but now in the Black Forest again so all is good 👍
What a fantastic town. Reminds me of chittychitty bang bang 😁
Won’t forget that trip in a hurry 👌♥️
That’s right Phil. We drove past the town where they filmed the child catcher scene. 😃. Still scares me even now!! 🤣

@lindsaybenison813 it’s crazy Lindsay. But we’re now putting our feet up in the Black Forest. Reminds us a bit of Perthshire!! Suns out at last.
Very picturesque, beautiful places. Hopefully you managed to get a sim and also John and Christine are doing well.

@@NBNatureTrailvan Indeed, the health services here too are abysmal! Don't want to hear me rant about that!! LOL
