Cheers Steve. The toll roads in France can be avoided but the alternative is pretty slow to get anywhere. So we try and avoid them but it’s not always possible. We’ve learned a lot about mainland Europe on this trip and we’ve had an absolute blast. Now turning for home and we just don’t want it to end! But hoping to get down to Spain in January. Hi Dave and Sue it’s great to see your enthusiasm for the motorhome life it’s fantastic isn’t it 😍 great video I did think they were otters but now I think your right about them being large rodents. Another tip about the Toll roads when you drive up to the booth to pay, hit the assistance button wait for someone to say Bonjour (sometimes there’s an automated message first) then say “camping car” the price should reduce after a few seconds and the person will probably respond to you through the assistance speaker - normally the price you pay will lower as it will have probably been charging you the lorry rate and not the motorhome rate. Give it a go 😊 we also love Alsace !! Safe travels guys Debs and Mark xxx

I thought that those animals were Otters at first but we see them at home and they were behaving differently. Then I thought beavers but they were too small. So I looked it up and they were definitely Coypu. They were eradicated in the UK but not in Europe apparently!! Amazing to see them. Thanks again guys. Hope the storm didn’t impact on you guys too much!

Hi guys. And thank you. Well first I thought they were Otters and then maybe Beavers as they have them on the Meuse in Belgium. Then when I checked the photos they were too small so definitely Coypu. Never crossed my mind as I thought they had been eradicated in Europe like in the UK. We’re having a bit of a crazy time. Now in the middle of a storm with rain for three days and snow last night. We’re leaving Austria tomorrow to head North West and avoid the worst of it. Really has been a crazy trip so far!! Have a brilliant weekend you two.

We had to buy a local SIM card, as our UK provider was trying to charge us crazy prices for roaming (despite us having a roaming pass 😡 It’s been raining constantly here now in Austria for 72 hours. Severe flood warnings in place. So we will leave today. But then last night we had a medical emergency so we’ve no idea what will happen today. It’s been an adventure that’s for sure!!

They were brilliant and she was released this morning so that we could all try and get North. They made it to the Belgian border tonight and we’ve made it to Bavaria. Very scary out there - never had a worse drive ever! But all well now hopefully. 🤞

Hi guys camping car park is a great system we used it over our three week trip you can book sites ahead (has to be booked i think two days before arrival)all sites where clean and most have electric, enjoy it guys .
Hi Ernie. Yep it’s brilliant isn’t it. We have booked a couple of sites for our way back We found out from another couple that if you turn up at say midday but then leave before 5, you only get charged 6 euros. And you can use the facilities too for that price. Great system. Have a lovely weekend ahead mate.

I felt sorry for Sue keep on getting in and out I thought she was getting fed up getting in and out of the van TFL in London had a cyber attack for 3 days a young man in Walsall was arrested by the national crime agency things are not getting back to normal locally for me I don't use my credit card so I have to be careful of my emails just waiting for TfL London to get back to me if I have been affected I don't think I have cos I've checked my bank account so be careful how you use your credit card I hope you enjoy your holiday and take care and be very careful who's around you when you use your card 💳💰
