Hey RR. As always, I love your insight. I am interested to find out about the ZR1. Specifically the engine and gear box.
I picked up my Z06 two weeks ago. I think it will be fun to return to some of our old dialogue to see what we said about interest rates and Z06 availability.
BTW - the z06 is nasty. Hard to consider a ZR1.

I'd rather have an E-Ray over a ZO6. To me the Flat Plane engine leaves something to be desired and the ZO6 has been having transmission problems. Now has to the ZR1, it's still an unknown as far as all details are concerned. But I think if you throw the book at the options, the price will definitely push or reach the $200k mark. Then, when Zora comes out. Oh My Lanta! This beast I bet will be a quarter of million dollars. And I bet it will be a Twin-Turbo setup and depending on the engine, it might be a thousand horsepower. That will be just bonkers for a street machine. I hope GM has a transmission that can handle that much horsepower. I can see GM imposing a driving school and test for potential buyers. Years back with the Viper, so many buyers never made it home in one piece from the dealership because they decided to "play" with it. That was NOT the car to play with unless you knew what you were doing. Of course, we won't know anything 'til we know. 😁 Save the Wave 🙋♂
I do think the ZR1 will be easier to get than the Zora because thats going to be like the pinnacle especially being named after Zora Arkus Duntov, but yeah we wont know anything for sure until we know, Save The Wave!
